Woodland Lakes Lodges

Vale Of York » Carlton Miniott, Thirsk

These luxury lodges are ideal for those seeking a break away in a relaxed and picturesque environment. The park has a wonderful location just a short drive from the bustling market town of Thirsk and the historic city of York is also close by.

As the name would suggest the lodges have been designed around impressive and well stocked fishing lakes catering for all ages and abilities. The park also has a superb new contemporary bar and restaurant which also offers occasional weekend light entertainment. The food served in the restaurant is modern and fresh with local produce featuring strongly.

There is also plenty to see and do in the local area with cathedral cities of York and Ripon both within easy reach. If its a day on the coast you're looking for then the popular resorts of Scarborough and Whitby can be reached in just over an hour taking in some of the most breathtaking scenery and picture postcard villages en route.

The Yorkshire moors and dales can also be reached in under and hour and offer the perfect environment for enjoying outdoor pursuits.

Watersports, climbing and gliding are available as well as the more traditional walking and cycling.

There are four types of lodge to choose from at Woodland Lakes. All are very well equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday. The Chestnut Lodge is a good choice for a romantic break and has one bedroom and an outdoor hot tub.

The Birch Lodge is larger and perfect for families sleeping up to 6. The lodge has two storeys making it very spacious and it also has a balcony where you can enjoy stunning views and a hot tub. The Poplar lodge is also two storey and very contemporary in design. It sleeps up to 4 people and has an outside furnished area with hot tub

Our second trip to this site, lovely and quiet and near Castle Howard, everything aboiut it was superb
Jo
We had a great 4 nights at this caravan park in March 2018. We took our dog Milo and he enjoyed it too. Although this is situated near a fairly main road the traffic noise was minimal. Our caravan was spotless when we arrived and very comfortable. The tv Aerial was a bit rubbish and the picture and sound would stutter but we soon got used to it and it didn't spoil our stay. Our only suggestion for improvement was from Milo as after the usual muddy walk he used to take us on made him unfit to go straight into the caravan when we came back and we had to clean him with a sponge and bucket, it would have been easier if there was a doggy shower near the toilet blocks so we could hose him down properly.
Tony
When I first went to Robin Hood Caravan Park York. I was not sure what to expect I knew what I hoped it would be like my expectations, But I was wrong it exceeded my expectations. I am now going at least once a year. If I can afford it I go twice a year.
Angela
We love it here and have been back a few times now. Lovely, peaceful site, helpful owner, and plenty to do in the local area.
Brian
Great site spotless caravan and super staff one word brilliant
Nicholas
Very nice clean site and a good family base to stay as only about 50 minutes to the coast.
Nicola
This is our second stay at Robin Hood, the caravan (pet friendly) was fantastic, had everything we needed and again it was so clean. My only issue was that I forgot towels. But that just meant a trip to Beautiful Helmsley. We will be back as we still haven't managed to see all the places on our trip list. It really is a gem, can not rate it highly enough.
Angela
Had a lovely stay at the park The caravan was lovely and very clean It's set in a lovely location Will be going again
Shaun
Great time had in a lovely Caravan!
Andrew
With friendly helpful staff, a well equipped clean caravan on a lovely quiet site and lots to see and do in the area we would be very happy to return.
Lynda
This is our second visit to Robin Hood caravan park and it is an excellent base for visiting all of the parts of Yorkshire we wanted to see. The park is small and secluded which is just what we wanted as we had a list of places to see so only needed a base to sleep and the caravan we had was excellent and the staff really helpful.
