"The lodge was really lovely and well kitted out. The hot tub was brilliant, perfect spot for unwinding. The bed was a bit firm, but overall, great stay!"

"We had an awesome weekend here! The lodge was spotless and spacious, perfect for relaxing. Fully equipped kitchen made things easy and the location was great-close to pubs, a spar and Roseberry Topping nearby. Definitely recommend!"

"The micro lodge was surprisingly spacious and had stunning views. Its such a peaceful spot, we didn't want to leave! Already planning our next trip, definitely our go-to place in the area."

"The place was really roomy and comfy, with sleek, modern decor all around. Having both an en-suite and family bathroom was a real bonus! We loved it."

"Our Cleveland Hills View Holiday Park review: Honestly, the place was just covered in flies. I had to hang four fly strips and they were all packed with around twenty bugs each. Not great at all."

"It would've been great if free WiFi was available. My daughter ran out of data and wasnt too pleased, though we knew they didnt offer WiFi beforehand. Still, decent overall."

"Not worth the money at all"

"Honestly, we wont be coming back here. When we arrived, there was no one around - just one warden who we saw once and the whole place looked pretty run down. We checked into the Swaledale lodge and at first, it seemed okay, but then we noticed the flies - everywhere! They were all over the sofa, around the extractor fan, on the curtains and even in the bedrooms. It was pretty revolting. We tried to stay positive, killed as many as we could and kept the windows and doors shut, but they kept finding their way back inside. Opening anything just let more in and the smoke alarm kept going off whenever we cooked because of the swarm. We mentioned it to the warden, who said it was because we were near a farmers field - but come on, its November! That explanation just didnt hold water. They gave us fly spray, but honestly, it didnt do much. The hot tub was another letdown - murky water and bubbles that didnt really work, so it just felt grimy. The decking was constantly wet, green, slimy and super slippery - a real hazard, especially for kids. We didnt expect to have to keep our drinks and food covered the entire time just to keep the flies away - there were THAT many. The only decent bits were the comfy beds and good TV signal. But honestly, between the flies, the unhygienic hot tub and the slippery decking, its a real shame. If it werent for those issues, maybe our stay wouldve been better. Weve read similar complaints in reviews since we left, which makes us wonder why nothing has been sorted yet. Definitely not what we hoped for."

"Honestly, we were really disappointed with our stay. The photos on the website made it look lovely, but in reality, the place was quite grimy - cobwebs, dead flies and brown marks on the walls. The bed sheets kept slipping off the mattress and it wasnt comfortable at all. The sofa bed was dreadful, full of crumbs, dust and dirt, which was pretty grim. Cooking was a nightmare because there was no chopping board or proper utensils. The place definitely needs some serious cleaning and attention to detail. On the bright side, the staff were super friendly and helpful and the surroundings were stunning with incredible views. Still, we had to cut our stay short because we just couldnt face another night in those beds!"

"We recently stayed at Coverdale Lodge and from the moment we arrived, we felt really welcomed. The place was spotless-honestly one of the cleanest spots we've ever stayed in. The hot tub was a bit cosy for two, but just right for us to relax. The location is peaceful and quiet, with Stokesley just a quick five-minute drive away, which is such a lovely little town. Theres plenty to explore nearby, though its worth noting that nothings really walkable from the park itself. Wed definitely recommend it and would love to come back. Only slight hiccup was the flies-had a few buzzing around, which was a bit annoying, but not a big deal. Considering it was November and we didnt have doors or windows open, it was a bit odd. Still, overall a great stay!"

"Really enjoyed the overall experience"

"We really enjoyed our stay overall, even if some things felt a bit old-fashioned. The hosts were super friendly and took the time to give us a proper tour. The hot tub was cosy, but a tad small for three and a few niggles like the shower draining slowly and the leaky extractor fan didnt ruin it. Would stay again!"

"Perfect spot for unwinding, the place was beautifully maintained."
Sarah Jennings - Jan 2024
"The lodges were spotless and the hot tub was well-maintained. Beds comfy, overall a good stay!"
Emma Clarke - Nov 2023
"The place was pretty grim. Utensils were scarce and the hot tubs lid was all mouldy and ripped, with bits floating around-totally unusable. The water reeked, honestly, it was just gross."
Emma Carter - Nov 2023
"Lovely stay, very peaceful and quiet, exactly what we needed."
James - Nov 2023
"We've noticed lots of flies in various reviews, which is quite frustrating. Hopefully, theyll do something about it to make stays more enjoyable. Fingers crossed!"
Emma Carter - Nov 2023
"We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge, it was spacious and had everything we needed. The hot tub was definitely a highlight! The only downside was the fridge, which smelled pretty awful-like cheese or milk gone off. With the warm weather that week, it made things worse. Still, overall, we had a great time and would go back!"

"Honestly, this place exceeded our expectations! The lodges are really well spaced out, so you get plenty of privacy, which was perfect for us. Theyre spotless, cosy and super peaceful. The location is quite secluded, but don't worry, the nearest pub is only about a 15-minute walk and Tesco is roughly 18 minutes away by car - along with a Marstons pub nearby. Whitbys about a 50-minute drive, but honestly, its worth every minute. Weve never enjoyed a stay quite like this before. The lady we contacted for check-in was lovely and very helpful. She even offered to top up the hot tub halfway through our stay and let us use our disposable BBQ. If youre after a quiet, relaxing escape, Id definitely recommend this place. Cant wait to come back!"

"We had a fabulous mini break here last weekend. We loved the location and the hot tub. Nice and relaxing and not too busy. Lodges have a good amount of space between them.
Would definitely like to return."

"Very nice mini lodge.
Just some small things like no mirror in bathroom."
Muneer - Jul 2022
"we enjoyed our break the only thing i would say is the sofa is really uncomfortable to sit on if you want to watch TV on an evening and there was only 1 chair on the decking with the table so if there is 2 of you that is not much good but other than that it was a lovely break we only saw a staff member once but kerry was always on the end of a text message if needed."
