Cleveland Hills View Holiday Park Reviews

"The lodge was really lovely and well kitted out. The hot tub was brilliant, perfect spot for unwinding. The bed was a bit firm, but overall, great stay!"
Emma - Mar 2025
"We had an awesome weekend here! The lodge was spotless and spacious, perfect for relaxing. Fully equipped kitchen made things easy and the location was great-close to pubs, a spar and Roseberry Topping nearby. Definitely recommend!"
Sarah - Mar 2025
"The micro lodge was surprisingly spacious and had stunning views. Its such a peaceful spot, we didn't want to leave! Already planning our next trip, definitely our go-to place in the area."
Emma Carter - Feb 2025
"The place was really roomy and comfy, with sleek, modern decor all around. Having both an en-suite and family bathroom was a real bonus! We loved it."
Emily - Jan 2025
"Our Cleveland Hills View Holiday Park review: We recently stayed at Coverdale Lodge and from the moment we arrived, we felt really welcomed. The place was spotless-honestly one of the cleanest spots we've ever stayed in. The hot tub was a bit cosy for two, but just right for us to relax. The location is peaceful and quiet, with Stokesley just a quick five-minute drive away, which is such a lovely little town. Theres plenty to explore nearby, though its worth noting that nothings really walkable from the park itself. Wed definitely recommend it and would love to come back. Only slight hiccup was the flies-had a few buzzing around, which was a bit annoying, but not a big deal. Considering it was November and we didnt have doors or windows open, it was a bit odd. Still, overall a great stay!"
Emily - Nov 2024
"Great stay, peaceful environment, friendly staff, definitely recommend it!"
Emma Carter - Nov 2024
"Really appreciated the free upgrade, made my day!"
Emma Carter - Jun 2024
"Facilities are okay, but honestly, it feels a bit overpriced for what you get."
James - Apr 2024
"The private hot tub and top-notch facilities really stood out for us!"
Oliver Smith - Mar 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay, the lodge was spotless and totally worth it!"
Alex - Mar 2024
"Nice break with the family, just what we needed after a busy time."
Emma Carter - Mar 2024
"Really enjoyed the overall experience"
James - Feb 2024
"We really enjoyed our stay overall, even if some things felt a bit old-fashioned. The hosts were super friendly and took the time to give us a proper tour. The hot tub was cosy, but a tad small for three and a few niggles like the shower draining slowly and the leaky extractor fan didnt ruin it. Would stay again!"
Emma Clarke - Jan 2024
"Perfect spot for unwinding, the place was beautifully maintained."
Sarah Jennings - Jan 2024
"The lodges were spotless and the hot tub was well-maintained. Beds comfy, overall a good stay!"
Emma Clarke - Nov 2023
"The place was pretty grim. Utensils were scarce and the hot tubs lid was all mouldy and ripped, with bits floating around-totally unusable. The water reeked, honestly, it was just gross."
Emma Carter - Nov 2023
"Lovely stay, very peaceful and quiet, exactly what we needed."
James - Nov 2023
"We've noticed lots of flies in various reviews, which is quite frustrating. Hopefully, theyll do something about it to make stays more enjoyable. Fingers crossed!"
Emma Carter - Nov 2023
"We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge, it was spacious and had everything we needed. The hot tub was definitely a highlight! The only downside was the fridge, which smelled pretty awful-like cheese or milk gone off. With the warm weather that week, it made things worse. Still, overall, we had a great time and would go back!"
Emily - Jan 1970
"Honestly, this place exceeded our expectations! The lodges are really well spaced out, so you get plenty of privacy, which was perfect for us. Theyre spotless, cosy and super peaceful. The location is quite secluded, but don't worry, the nearest pub is only about a 15-minute walk and Tesco is roughly 18 minutes away by car - along with a Marstons pub nearby. Whitbys about a 50-minute drive, but honestly, its worth every minute. Weve never enjoyed a stay quite like this before. The lady we contacted for check-in was lovely and very helpful. She even offered to top up the hot tub halfway through our stay and let us use our disposable BBQ. If youre after a quiet, relaxing escape, Id definitely recommend this place. Cant wait to come back!"
Emma - Jan 1970
"We had a lovely stay at the lodge! Perfect spot for us and our dog, with all the amenities we could ask for. Will return!"
Sarah - Jan 1970
"Really enjoyed our stay"
Alex - Jan 1970
"The hot tub was super relaxing and the place was spotless every day-lovely modern vibe."
Alex - Jan 1970
"The lodge was really lovely, nestled in such a peaceful spot near the moors and Whitby. We loved the ample storage, especially the family fridge freezer and washing machine - such a help! Only a tiny gripe: a small coffee table or coasters wouldve been perfect. It was a bit pricier than we usually go for, but overall, a great stay!"
Emma Clarke - Jan 1970
"The cabin was spotless and well-maintained, making our stay really comfortable. Its ideal for two folks for sure!"
Jamie - Jan 1970
"The hot tub was fantastic, but honestly, the bed and couch could be way comfier."
Emma - Jan 1970
"We had a fantastic stay at this lovely lodge! The setting is just stunning and the hot tub was such a treat after a day out. Yarm is only about 10 minutes by car, with plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants to explore. We also loved the Wheatsheaf Inn, just a short walk away - the food is really good! Kerry was super helpful with check-in details and local tips. Wed definitely come back again!"
Olivia - Jan 1970
"We recently spent four nights at this lodge with a group of friends and honestly, it was a pretty good stay overall. When we arrived, we couldnt believe how spacious and modern the place was-definitely a pleasant surprise. There was ample room and plenty of storage for all of us, which made settling in really easy. The layout was well thought out, with two bathrooms, a large kitchen featuring two sinks and a big fridge freezer, plus loads of seating options. The hot tub was a real bonus and added a nice touch to our trip! The outdoor space wasnt massive and didnt offer much privacy, but that didnt really bother us since the park was incredibly peaceful. We loved having access to the large open grassy area right behind the patio-it was perfect for relaxing or just taking a stroll. Kerry, who was on-site, was really helpful and made sure everything was sorted, including topping up the hot tub with chlorine and water. We appreciated that a lot, so cheers to him! Now, there are a few little things wed mention for future guests. First off, the place was missing some basic amenities that wouldve made our stay even better. For example, towels werent provided at all-just a tea towel, which was a bit of a surprise. It wouldve been handy to have hand towels, too. Also, some essential utensils like scissors and a spatula were missing, which was a bit of a hassle when cooking. The dishwasher was a nice addition, but it didnt come with a sponge or much washing up liquid, so we had to supply our own. We also brought our own disinfectant spray and cloths because there was nothing provided to keep the kitchen clean during our stay or to leave it tidy when we left.A mop wouldve been useful as well since there was only a dustpan and brush-especially if you plan on doing laundry or staying for a longer period. The lodge has a washing machine, which was great, but you need to bring your own detergent. No clothes airer or hooks on the back of doors, though, so hanging clothes to dry was a bit of a challenge. We improvised by hanging some clothes over the fence and the bath, but if youre staying over winter or doing lots of laundry, bringing a drying rack might be sensible. One more thing to note is that there werent any cooking staples like salt, pepper, sugar, oil, or tinfoil. We brought some ourselves, so it wasnt a big deal, but if you need these items, remember to pack them. Overall, these were minor inconveniences-things we managed to work around. For the price (£1000+), we did expect a few extra touches, especially compared to other lodges weve stayed in.Despite these small issues, we genuinely had a fantastic time and would definitely come back. We really enjoyed exploring Yarm High Street, which was only a short taxi ride away (£15 each way)and found another lovely village about ten minutes in the opposite direction with a Co-Op, perfect for picking up supplies. Whitby and Runswick Bay were also within easy reach, making for great day trips. All in all, a lovely stay with just a few little tweaks that could make it even better!"
Emma - Jan 1970
"Such a lovely little holiday park. It was perfect for our few nights away, in a peaceful area and no noise from other cabins due to the space between them."
Alex - Jul 2022
"Perfect safe place staff were really friendly and so helpful. The site and lodge was clean and quiet. Great place to rest and then travel out to nearby villages and Whitby beach. Definitely recommend"
Gregg - Jul 2022
"We had a fabulous mini break here last weekend. We loved the location and the hot tub. Nice and relaxing and not too busy. Lodges have a good amount of space between them. Would definitely like to return."
Verified Guest - Jul 2022
"Very nice mini lodge. Just some small things like no mirror in bathroom."
Muneer - Jul 2022
"we enjoyed our break the only thing i would say is the sofa is really uncomfortable to sit on if you want to watch TV on an evening and there was only 1 chair on the decking with the table so if there is 2 of you that is not much good but other than that it was a lovely break we only saw a staff member once but kerry was always on the end of a text message if needed."
