Beautiful lodge. Only negative was that it was a bit sheltered by the trees. Little view of the Loch but overall a lovely place.

This is our second time in a lodge with hoseason and we will use again.

Lodges were amazing, star spotting at night in a hot tub was the best.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the pizza was to die for... highly recommend.

3 adult males and 3 boys 9, 11 & 13. All loved the cabin and holiday. Place was great for the dog as well. Never cought anything fishing in the salt water loch apart from crabs over 2 days so we drove to fresh water lochs instead. Stayed in the Golden oak 3. Amazing spot on the very front of the loch with amazing views while sitting in the hot tub. Spot was also good for taking the dog straight out. My only gripe is that we could not park the car directly at the door which would have been helpfull for unload and loading of the cars so for that reason took it down to a 9/10 from 10/10. Some properties have parking at the doir but I think you would lose best location on the loch front so would take the location. We were camping the week before and had quite a lot of stuff. Once inside though the place was perfect, overlooking loch and mountains. Staff helpfull and accomodated us with a larger table during a meal and quiz night for my Nephew's birthday after a day of fishing. We ordered a bit late so had missed the cut off time for ordering food by quite a bit and they still made us some pizza and chips to take away, thanks! We went round the wooded areas and a couple of the bike paths. These are great for everyone whether cycle, walk, jog or take dog out walking along river etc. Stunning! Recommend this place for people who want to relax, with or without pets, families who like biking, walking, jogging etc. Fishing was not so great and needed to travel a bit. Kids were "bored" sometimes saying not much to do. The park play area is for smaller children and the wooded area was good for bikes but for playing around we were getting eaten alive by the midgies so was a bit frustrating. Midgies not a problem when in the hot tub.

Date of stay: 10th April 2017
We loved the lodge, and found it very well equipped. It was really nice to have lots of spare crockery and cutlery, not just the absolute per person minimum as in lots of self catering venues. The beds were also extremely confortable - often not the case in self catering.

Cabin superb. Hot-tub was amazing. Loved it.

Date of stay: 1st February 2016
This cabin was excellent, from the private hot tub to the under floor heating. It was more than large enough for the 6 of us and we all thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away. The cabin was very clean, the beds were comfortable, the hot tub was excellent (despite the rain/snow trying to ruin it), and the facilities in general were brilliant. The only slight issue we had was trying to cook for 6 which a relatively small oven and only a small frying pan but other than that nothing to complain about.
William, Hamilton

Date of stay: 3rd July 2015
Extremely quiet with lots of beautiful scenery.

Staff were extremely helpful and couldn't for enough for you. Fresh bread baked daily to purchase, papers can be delivered to the cabin.

Wifi and movies in cabin at an extra fee, but definitely worth it.

If you are looking for a quiet escape from the world this is definitely the place. Lots of activities and nature walks if that's what you are looking for.

Dog friendly. A wee shop that stocks practically everything you could need.
Date of stay: 29th May 2015
Loved the surrounding and the lodge was fantastic.
Date of stay: 10th April 2015

Date of stay: 27th February 2015
Despite the very cold, snowy weather we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Then lodge had everything we needed and was comfortable, lovely and warm with the slippers and dressing gowns just the job after our nightly dip in the outdoor tub. Staff were very friendly and obliging. The views across the loch towards Arrochar and the surrounding hills were brilliant and the walking territory was ideal. All in all a great week's holiday.
John, Greenock
Date of stay: 23rd February 2015
Lodges were magic, couldn't ask for more and the lodge is full of good cooking equipment, only one thing is, it should be advertised more that you have to bring your own bath towels, it does say tea towels on the Internet,

Given a week family holiday with no supermarkets nearby and Christmas holiday period the small fridge with only ice box was insufficient for food storage. A fridge/freezer in hall cupboard would have been VERY useful. Lack of enclosed storage in bedrooms particularly master was an issue.

Fantastic lodge, however there were several power cuts, the wifi was very very expensive and the curtain pole continuously fell down -once on my head.
Steph, Aldershot
Date of stay: 22nd December 2014
The lodge was perfect, the view was absolutely stunning. The only down side was we were only there for 3 nights but if we wanted internet we had to pay a further £35! The reception isn't great as you don't get 3G, so it was a bit of an issue especially as we had brought our ipad to download some films.

superb, can not fail to impress
Julie, Redcar
Date of stay: 5th December 2014
Beautiful lodges with fantastic views out of the very large windows, onto the loch and woods. Very comfortable sofas. Bathrooms were very clean. The only thing I would mention is that, although it was comfortable, the bed was very creaky each time you moved.
Kirstin, Houston
Date of stay: 1st December 2014
Could have done with a dvd player as we brought loads of dvds and could not watch any. Also the lodges could have salt and pepper.
Deborah, Scottish Borders

Would recommend pump dispensers for washing up liquid and a couple of pan scrubbers as use of dishwasher not always necessary.
Caroline, Durham
Date of stay: 15th September 2014
The cabins were lovely, kitchen well kitted out with everything we needed, towels and robes were big and fluffy, hot tub was perfect, cabin lovely and warm with the underfloor heating. My only complaint is with all the luxury it would have been nice to have a bigger more comfortable sofa, I was expecting one of the corner sofas like on the photos but realised these are for the 2 and 3 bed lodges.
Jade, Glasgow
Date of stay: 8th September 2014
The lodge was gorgeous and we were very satisfied apart from the toilet didntn seem cleaned as much as the rest as their was a line if dust on the systern. We really enjoyed the hot tub too. Only thing I would recommend is updating the movies section and having more variety.

Door handle on bathroom door broke luckily whilst no one in it! However when told in the morning someone came almost straightaway to fix. Only downside of cabins is very hot in eve but can't open windows cos of midges so could do with a fan and sound carries in them so very noisy if people still up in lounge area when you're in bed.

Date of stay: 7th April 2014
Accommodation was very comfortable, although, if staying longer than a weekend, think would struggle with storage space available, as the wardrope space in the master bedroom was limited.
Diane, Inverclyde
Date of stay: 4th April 2014
Lodges are amazing. Well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Kids loved the wii and the movies. The hottub was out of this world. The underfloor heating was a bonus.

Date of stay: 31st January 2014
We both felt like we where staying in a five star accommodation...beautiful though out....very comfortable...home from home....everything you need is it's there....only reason for 8 instead of a 10 for cleanliness was we found the cutlery was dirty...think it hadn't been washed right in the dish washer....but other than that the cabin was spotlessly clean.....
Date of stay: 31st January 2014
The lodge is so modern and clean. It is really nice and feels like a home from home.
Andrea, Stewarton
Date of stay: 9th December 2013
The only thing missing was an overhead cover for the hot tub. Noticed some people has a pop up gazebo which would have allowed them to use thevtub while it was windy and raining. We still used it but not long due to weather.
Lovely site. Very relaxed atmosphere and everything you need in a lodge. Will definitely come back
Fantastic holiday, staff could not have been more helpful. The cabins were spacious, clean and cozy. The hot tub was amazing and was kept immaculately clean. Loved every minute of our trip to Ardgartan.
It was amazing the lodge itself nice and cosy clean the hot tub was like a nice hot bath not much as facilities on site the shop was bare minimum so would suggest taking teabags etc the staff really helpful in suggestions on walks and visits except one person who just couldn’t seem bothered the views are amazing would definitely go again
Lodges were fab, there were 17 of us in 3 lodges next to each other. The view was amazing the lodges lovely and we all enjoyed the hot tubs
Absolutely loved our stay, have never felt so relaxed. Would Highly recommend and also lived how Dog Friendly it was. Would live to go back
Spacious, beautiful and high specification lodge, great hot tub ( well maintained), amazing location, lovely friendly helpful staff.
Fabulous place. The cabins are lovely and well equipped. The hot tub was perfect. The staff were all very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We had a lovely relaxing break and will definitely be back.
Lodges are fantastic not far from walking routes, I have been to a few different lodges and this is by far the best
