Bowleaze Cove Holiday Park & Spa Reviews

"A few very small issues identified but as quickly as reported they were addressed. Just a little on the expensive side overall imo."
Stuart - Aug 2025
"Lovely caravan and well equipped. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Great location with access to a lovely beach. Only downside was the cost but we did book last minute."
Penny - Aug 2025
"Amazing caravan and lovely to have WiFi and a dishwasher"
Verified Guest - Jun 2025
"Lovely bright modern and very comfortable accommodation loved our stay there !!Shower was really good which is important for me as I suffer from health problems and a good easy to use shower is a must for me as I!!Also very comfortable sofa and bed which is equally important too !!"
Eileen - Jun 2025
"Our Bowleaze Cove Holiday Park & Spa review: Great hot tub and great location too."
Cheryl - Jun 2025
"Sadly this holiday didnt work for us. Pool was over crowded, Caravan had broken items. Noisy neighbours and Fun fair, has rough staff, that spit, swear and vape.. all in all sadly not for us. We cant come back."
1claire101 - Jun 2025
"Amazing holiday park! Beautiful location! Very friendly and helpful staff! We were extremely impressed! Our caravan was great too, perfect for me and my husband and the 2 dogs! The dogs even got a little goodie box which was amazing! We will definitely be returning :)"
Laura - May 2025
"Really enjoyed our stay here, the place is so calm and perfect for our furry friends."
Clara - May 2025
"We absolutely loved our stay here! The location is stunning and incredibly private, perfect for relaxing away from the hustle. The owners are genuinely friendly and always ready to help without intruding. The hot tub was a real highlight after a day out cycling-it really made our trip special. One thing to note is that the cottage is quite close to Stansted's flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us much once we got used to it, but it might be a concern if you're sensitive to noise. Overall, a fantastic place!"
Rajiv Kumar - Apr 2025
"We really enjoyed our stay at Goddard Mead. The cottage had everything we needed and was super cosy. Loved the walks right from the doorstep. The welcome was warm and the owners are genuinely lovely people!"
Rebecca - Mar 2025
"We stayed at Goddard's Mead recently and honestly, the hosts Rob and Sharon really put in a lot of effort into preserving the charm of this old building. They greeted us warmly and Bonnie was lovely too! The place has everything you need for a chilled out break. The location is spot on - perfect for exploring Thaxted and other nearby villages with their rich history and gorgeous old buildings. Definitely worth a visit!"
Lisa - Jan 2025
"Really enjoyed our stay"
Emma Carter - Nov 2024
"Lovely caravan, clean and comfortable"
Sara - Sep 2024
"We had such a lovely stay in this peaceful spot! The place feels really private, yet the owners are super friendly and nearby if we needed anything. After a long day of cycling, the hot tub was just what we needed-absolute bliss. One thing to note, its directly under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of noise from the planes. It didnt bother us much once we got used to it, but if youre sensitive to noise, its worth mentioning. Overall, a great getaway with just a tiny quirk!"
Raj Patel - Aug 2024
"Great clean accommodation wouldHighly recommend and stay again"
Katie - Aug 2024

Sam - Aug 2024

TONI - Aug 2024
"We just got back from a fantastic week at Goddards Mead. The cottage had everything we could possibly need and was super comfortable. The hosts were really friendly and welcoming and even though its on a working farm, it felt like a peaceful retreat. Lovely stay!"
Rachel - Aug 2024
"Caravan was wonderful spacious and clean full size fridge freezer . Wifi excellent very comfy beds and patio furniture. Welcome box a lovely touch"
Victoria - Jul 2024
"Really enjoyed the walk, the fields are lovely and having the dogs along was a bonus! Great day!"
Sammy - May 2024
"We really enjoyed our stay! The place was quite roomy and had everything we needed in the kitchen - plenty of utensils and a big dining table which made eating in a breeze. The lounge was comfy, perfect for our family of four adults and two kids to unwind after dinner. The veranda wrapping around two sides was lovely for soaking up the sun and the gate kept the little ones safe. Would definitely come back!"
Michael - May 2024
"We had such a lovely stay at this charming cottage! Its kitted out with everything you could possibly need, honestly, we didnt have to bring a thing. The welcome pack was packed with useful info and menus, really thoughtful touch. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dogs to run around safely and they loved it! The hot tub was definitely a highlight-absolutely fantastic. Sharon and Rob were super quick to respond to any questions, which was much appreciated. Thanks for a really relaxing break!"
Ellie - Mar 2024
"We loved this charming cottage - the hot tub and log burner made it extra special. Hosts were lovely, super peaceful. Cant wait to come back!"
Charlotte - Dec 2023
"Really enjoyed our stay here, its such a calm place and perfect for dogs too! Definitely coming back."
Harriet - Aug 2023
"We had such a lovely weekend stay here! The place really ticked all our boxes and were already planning to return. Our dogs couldnt get enough of the underfloor heating and playing outside in the garden. Luna was wagging her tail so much she strained it, but it just shows how much fun everyone had. Happy pups, happy us!"
Charlie - Jul 2023
"Good caravan, especially since we could bring our dog along."
Oliver - Jul 2023
"Super comfy stay, everything was spotless and well-stocked. Lovely!"
Olivia - Jun 2023
"Really enjoyed our stay, the place had everything we needed."
Sophie - May 2023
"Really lovely caravan better than expected, our only criticism is for a 5 star site no welcome pack. That would have made it excellent, we loved it anyway just a small thing but they make a big difference."

The site was very clean, the facilities were great, the staff were friendly and helpful and the location was good. We loved the pools and the evening entertainment. Monkey World - BH20 6HH

Monkey World is not only a local attraction but the work they carry out is amazing.  Rescuing and rehabilitating monkeys and assisting governments around the world to stop the smuggling of primates are just some of the purposes of the centre. You get to see the primates themselves many of which have become famous from appearing on the TV show Monkey World - a documentary about this place. Open year round we think this is one of best attractions in Dorset and you even get the chance to adopt a monkey if you choose.

You may have seen this amazing attraction on the BBC1 Animal Park programme.  This is actually the first safari park outside of Africa where you can get close to the animals from the comfort of your own car. Some of the highlights include the zebras, the wallabies in wallaby wood and the sea lion escorted cruise to Gorilla Island.  And of course the magnificent lions and tigers are a must see.  This really is an animal experience with a difference and you can save money by booking your tickets online.  This attraction is open until the end of October. Check out their website to see some fantastic video podcasts of the park.
Bicton Park and Gardens - EX9 7BJ
about 39 Miles
This year round attraction has been described as Devon's most magnificent historic gardens.  Located in the Otter Valley area of East Devon you can enjoy a fun day out in a picturesque setting. Highlights include historic Palm house, containing some of the world’s most endangered species and Bicton Woodland Railway - which takes you on a 25 minute journey through the lovely grounds.  For children there is a miniature village with mini golf, nature trail and indoor play area.
Salisbury and South Wiltshire Museum - SP1 2EN
about 39 Miles
The Salisbury and South Wiltshire Museum is located in the Salisbury area of Wiltshire and will appeal to those looking for an educational and cultural day out.  The exhibits are centred around the history of Salisbury and South Wiltshire from prehistoric times to now. What once was a historically important fort is now home to a Marine Aquarium, a Model Railway, a Sea Bed Archaeology Exhibition and a Planetarium. The Country Park also offers delightful woodland walks. Countryside Rangers are on hand to give guided walks of the seashore and the woodland. Admission to the park is free of charge but each of the attractions incur a small charge.
