I've given furniture and fittings a 9 as we found the kitchen short of some utensils and could have done with more cutlery, we found ourselves washing up every time we needed something. However everything else was great

The lodge had everything we needed including a hot tub which we used a few times. The welcome tea tray , toiletries and dishwasher tablets etc are a great idea and much appreciated.

The washer dryer came in useful !

The lodge was clean the only thing we could fault really was the bed which was a bit soft and creaky!

Lovely lodge in a good location with lovely surroundings. No restaurant onsite but we visited the neighbouring Clay Pipe Inn one evening, which was a short walk away where had a very reasonably priced meal. We also enjoyed a wonderful Indian meal at the 29029 Restaurant at Wareham - possibly the best Indian meal we've ever had.
Amanda, Aylesbury,bucks

Date of stay: 25th May 2018
We enjoyed staying in the Willows 1 - everything was great. If we have to be really really picky - needed hooks to put coats/ bathroom hooks to put towels / a plug in the kitchen by the island / the balcony had a full ashtray and cobwebs needed clearing. BUT we had a great time and enjoyed the Willows 1
Lacey, Northampton
Date of stay: 25th May 2018

Very nice and spacious accommodation. Fixtures and fittings good and everything we needed was supplied.
There was some old food left in the fridge and a bin that had not been emptied in the bathroom, the floor was also in need of a sweep.
Angela, Chatteris, Cambs
Date of stay: 25th May 2018
This is our 2nd time at Wareham Forest Lodge retreat we had a wonderful time again and on my return home, we all enjoyed our break so much that we have booked the same week for next year - Lovely quiet relaxing place.

Just a shame when you book you can't request the same lodge number as we loved the lodge we had Number 29 was just beautiful - thank you.

Beautiful site and lodges . Had problems with gate initially
Dawn
Date of stay: 29th April 2018
Never ever stayed in a Lodge before - it exceeded our expectations. Very clean, lovely white big fluffy towels, beds very comfy (i suffer with a bad back and had no issues). My only small criticism is the kitchen needs more items. (salad bowl, smaller mugs, more cutlery, a better vacuum) As we have a dog we always take our cordless, it is needed as an old fashion hand push along was provided!!!!
Jeff, Bristol
Date of stay: 27th April 2018
Exceptional quality lodges with much more than you would expect. The whole fitting out of the lodge is superb and you have everything if not more than you will have at home.
Arthur, Salisbury
Date of stay: 27th April 2018
We had a great time and would love to come again
Judith, Ruislip
Date of stay: 27th April 2018
Everything was really lovely apart from the lack of cupboards for food in the kitchen area, and also no working space. Everything else excellent.
Kirsty
Date of stay: 27th April 2018
This has to be the best lodge we have ever stayed in. The quality of the furnishings throughout is fantastic and having the hot tub to relax in is the best! We took our little pup with us too and having the gated decking was great. We wish we had stayed for longer and didn't want to leave. We will be returning!
Jardine, Swindon

Date of stay: 23rd April 2018
The lodge was situated in a quiet and private place. This was good as we had a quiet and relaxing holiday. It contained everything we needed for our holiday and was furnished to a good standard and was very well cared for. We liked the hot tub as it was spacious and well maintained.
Michael, Moreton-in-marsh

Fantastic break in quiet, relaxing setting. Wonderful lodge.
Jayne, Leicesters
Date of stay: 20th April 2018
We hired robes but there wasnt anywhere to hang when not using. Coat hooks needed on back of bedroom and bathroom doors.
Also, although shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided in bathroom, a small soap would have been nice.
Joyce, Ilchester
Date of stay: 20th April 2018
We had the best time on a wonderful site

Leah
Date of stay: 13th April 2018
We would have given 10/10 but we had a problem with the door of the lodge as we couldnt open it with our key when we returned after a day out. This happened a couple of times and maintenance did come out and try to fix it. It was still causing problems and on our final day we returned to find we had been given a nice bottle of prosecco for the inconvenience which was very nice.
Sarah, Weybridge
Date of stay: 13th April 2018
We will be back for the third time soon! Love this place : )

Richardson, Newport
Date of stay: 6th April 2018
All good only thing we have give people in our party but only had 5 seat on settee and air chair
Alex, Norwich
Date of stay: 6th April 2018
The lodge was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. As a family we loved it so much we decided we would be happy to downsize and live in one! Only thing we would suggest is some more food prep space which was limited.
V, London
Date of stay: 6th April 2018
Excellent facilities although we could have done with more plates, cups and saucers. There was only enough for 4 so we had to keep washing the up all the time. Also some more cooking utensils would have helped as when cooking there weren't enough containers and bowls for storing items in the fridge.
Confirmed Purchaser, Amersham
Date of stay: 2nd April 2018

Andrew, Derby
Date of stay: 30th March 2018
Fantastic !
Jack
Date of stay: 26th March 2018
Everything was fantastic, such a beautiful spacious lodge and also very clean. The only bad thing about it was, paying extra for a premier lodge but not provided with dishwasher tablets, a sponge for cleaning or washing up and no anti bacterial wipes to clean surfaces on arrival. Apart from that everything else was fantastic, I would go into more detail but the list would be too long.
Loraine, Ashford Kent
Date of stay: 24th March 2018
Everything you could wish for.
Oriel, Wiltshire
Date of stay: 23rd March 2018
The lodge was nice and had everything we needed. The water pressure isnt great but weve experienced that before on other sites. The bath was not used as the seal on the plug didnt work and would have taken half hour to fill anyway. Nice views of sunset from the living area and also saw some nice birds too. Very quiet and would return
Shirley, Bognor Regis
Date of stay: 23rd March 2018
Overall a very nice lodge

Our weeks holiday was spent reliving old memories of Dorset. The lodge was so nice to come back to at the end of a busy day. It was warm in minutes and the furniture and bed was so comfortable. There was nothing missing from this lodge, it was like Home from home.

Date of stay: 4th March 2018
Good value in lovely, clean and comfortable accomodation. Truly a home from home.
Dawn, Milton Keynes
Date of stay: 3rd March 2018
Just one suggestion for the lodge, more crockery and cutlery required as with 4 adults in the lodge there seemed to be only enough of the above to use at one meal time and then we had to put dishwasher on so we could use clean items at next meal or drink time.

Really enjoyed our whole break. It was very quiet in the area at this time of year and a lot of the pubs seemed to be closed for either refurb or because of the inclement weather!
Vicki
Date of stay: 26th February 2018
We had a lovely weekend stay in February in a hot tub lodge. The lodge had everything in that we needed and was very well kept. Would definitely recommend this park and I would come back here again.
Lee, Torquay
Date of stay: 26th February 2018
The lodge we stayed at was excellent , so comfortable and warm and everything you needed was there , the only little thing was the lack of cupboard space for the food we brought with us as most were filled with utensils, crockery etc but that only brought the rating down from 10 to a 9.9 , highly recommended

Date of stay: 12th February 2018
Super comfy sofa/chairs and also amazing beds.

Fridge better than my one at home, loved having washing machine, wine cooler and dishwasher too (luxury extras)

However we did have a few problems over the course of our stay so made staff know and happy to assist straight away -dripping gutter caused ice on steps, broken mirror, water leak under sink, boiler stopped & when open dishwasher (kick board fell off each time)
Bernadette, Gloucestershire

Date of stay: 12th January 2018
Lodge was great but a little in homely in the lounge area, needs a carpet or rug just to give it some warmth and colour, would have got 10/10 if hot tub was working right. Choice was live with it not working right or loose nearly a whole day having it fixed.

there were a couple of cleanliness issues that we adressed ourselves because it was late in the evening and there were no staff to deal with it.
On the whole the accomodation was of a high standard , a couple of small design/layout issues but didn't really impact too much on our stay.
would definitely stay again in one with a hot tub though!

Date of stay: 4th August 2017
Our lodge was superb. It was cleaned and furnished to a very high standard and I was impressed with the quality of the fixtures and fittings. It made it very easy for our family to relax and enjoy ourselves. The open plan living area is great for families and there was also lots of storage space. The closed in decked area made it easy for our 3.5 year old twins to go outside through the french doors to have some outdoor play whilst we relaxed out there.
Gail, Ellesmere Port
Date of stay: 4th August 2017

Date of stay: 31st July 2017
I had a very short break with the dog. It was a lovely base to explore from , comfortable, lovely welcome and welcome pack. The best bed I have ever slept in away from home. As an insomniac I slept better than I have in years.
Willow was contemporary and comfortable. As self catering would like more info to local stores.
I will be back! But as a single traveller (with dog) will look for deals as expensive, especially for just a few days.
We'll done though for lovely clean site with lovely accommodation. X
Dean, Somerset
Date of stay: 28th July 2017
Great modern lodge and for once there weren't any of the little niggles we usually expect.
Comfy beds, TVs that worked, good wifi, clean and functional kitchen, nice bathrooms, plenty of cutlery and plates etc as well as spare bin bags and dishwasher tablets (which really saves having to worry about the little things while you're away)
David, Co. Durham
Date of stay: 28th July 2017
After reading reviews around cleaning issues, we found these concerns when we arrived.
On moving furniture clumps of dust/ hair underneath and clumps of dust/hair in various corners of rooms.
Also dead flues on the high level window sills.
Very, very poor which could be put right very easily.
Carina, Abu Dhabi

We had an amazing stay at Wareham Forest Lodge Retreat. The lodge itself was immaculate, incredibly well appointed, situated and looked after. A minor issue with a gutter was resolved immediately and without any problems, check-in and check-out were quick and friendly. The park is quiet and relaxed and is mediculously maintained by a team of people. The lodge is the best accommodation we have ever stayed in, and we've stayed in 5 hotels. Great TVs, heating, kitchen and appliances, bathrooms and spacious, clean rooms. Thank you for a great stay.

We book this very last minute when we needed a break. The lodge was beautiful, very spacious and well equipped.
We used it for a base for walking in the local area and it was ideal for this.
WiFi was good. Staff extremely pleasant and welcoming.
I wouldn't hesitate to book this peaceful location again or recommend it to family and friends and we are already looking at staying at another Darwin Escapes location later in the year.

Date of stay: 24th June 2017
We had a pleasant stay at cabin 47 which had a shaded decking at the rear, so this gave us a nice break from the sun on the very hot week we came in June. On arrival we came into a clean and modern well equipped lodge the washing machine was an added bonus that made our stay extra comfortable. The welcome pack was a really lovely touch and the tin with the key was loved by the wife along with the duck gift. their was good WiFi signal, beds comfortable and clean with a good supply of towels we had all our needs catered for. The location was 20 to 30 mins from most places we wanted to visit and only 10 mins from pool town centre. overall the holiday was great and the accommodation made it even better. we would definitely return at a later date..
Antony, Worthing
Date of stay: 23rd June 2017
Perfect place to stay. Been twice, will return I'm sure! Love the new lodges in a quiet park close enough to visit everywhere we want to. Very clean, excellent wifi, two bathrooms are great with superb modern showers and a large smart TV in the lounge. What is there not to like?
David, Hook, Hampshire
Date of stay: 23rd June 2017
Absolutely brilliant, these have lifted the benchmark for self catering style holidays. The lodge itself surpassed all expectations, from the welcome pack to the bedding, I just want those pillows.... the TVs even the decking and rattan furniture the list goes on.... I was going give a low rating to put people of going, so I can go again...Next time get one with a hot tub. Definitely going again.
Jay, Essex
Date of stay: 23rd June 2017
The lodge was beautiful. Very modern and clean. We had very hot weather while we were there and the only thing that could have improved our stay would have been an electric fan or two. We are hoping to return next year as so much to do in the area.

Nigel, Kent
Date of stay: 16th June 2017
We had a lovely family stay in a perfect location. The lodge was well equipped and just a few little touches missed the mark for us. A couple of cleaning issues, sticky ring marks on the bed side tables and food on the table mats and coasters on the dinning table. Also only one breakfast tea bag was left for us as a group of 6 people, which seemed odd. Finally toiletries were left in the en-suite but not in the main bathroom, not sure if this is is normal or if it was an oversight?
John, Leeds

Date of stay: 3rd June 2017
The lodge was wonderful and all the little extras made it really good. You could sit in the hot tub and listen to the birds singing.
We needed more towels and another robe - and we didn't know until we left that we could have hired some more. More info in lodge needed.
Would have like to the staff around the site to be a bit happier - they were pleasant when spoken to - but didn't give the impression of being happy in their work.

I know it was a retreat so lovely and quiet with lovely woodland walks for the dog but maybe a small shop for essentials on site would be good.

Lovely decor and view. Lots of greenary and private car spaces, fantastic!

Date of stay: 8th May 2017
Our lodge was number 50 we were moved from number 3 as the hot tub thermostat was not working and hot tub was very cold. It was a lovely villa but being right next to an unfinished part of the park wasn't ideal, no real complaints as the lodge was much bigger, I would advise getting that area finished off and the generator enclosed by fencing, a) to enhance the look of the area and b) to cut down the generator noise. In 12 months time I believe this will be a lovely site.

Date of stay: 1st May 2017
A lovely lodge, very new with one of the best hot tubs I have been in. Lovely touches such as little luggage style tin for key with info, tea tray/milk/bread for arrival and washing up pack. Loved the bathrobes and slippers and really they had thought of most things.
The only reason for not getting full marks was floor could have been cleaner on arrival, no tea towel or oven glove which made using oven a bit awkward and no lamp in lounge -found overhead light a bit too bright.
Would however definitely return.

Cleaning could have been better. Sink in bathroom and shower was full of clogged up hair in the plug hole. Left over food from previous guest still in cupboard and lots of dust on doors but I'm a little picky.

As I said to the girl on reception after we had checked into our lodge, usually when you inspect your lodge/hotel room on arrival, there is always something to not like or wish were different, not so with Wareham forest lodges, everything was absolutely perfect, we really liked being there, it was so comfortable there was nothing that had not been thought of, we won't stay anywhere else now when we return to Dorset, it ticks every single box, thank you to all involved
Daniel, Heytesbury Warminster

We had a fantastic stay. It's so quiet here, a real retreat totally away from it all. Yet close enough to the local attractions. Lodges thoughtfully designed and touches like bread and milk were very welcome. And the duck, well what can I say, I have a very happy 7yr old!

Date of stay: 14th April 2017
The only reasons I have given a nine instead of 10 was purely because of little things like a little more privacy re : fencing around hot tub . but to be honest the accommodation was very clean and comfortable , which i consider most important .to my enjoyment of the place i come to stay in on holiday. I have to be honest I did miss having a dvd player to play my films on , but overall this is a beautiful location and many places to visit around and about. Fantastic helpful staff , hot tub well tended and very clean. Would definitely recommend

Wow, what a hidden treasure! Located just outside Poole/Bournemouth this retreat is perfectly positioned. It offers peaceful and pleasant surroundings. The park opened at the beginning of the year and you can tell a lot of thought and effort has gone into making this retreat 5.

The Rowan 2 Premier comes complete with hot tub - perfect to relax in following an action packed day. Added touches such as bread, milk, bathrobes and slippers were included. The lodge was clean, well furnished and contained everything we needed for the weekend. There was also a Washing Machine, Dishwasher, Wine Cooler and WiFi (Free of Charge).

The purpose of the visit was to celebrate my 22nd Birthday, upon arrival there was a Card, Bottle of Bubbly & biscuits - this was such an amazing gesture. Thankyou to all of the team for making this happen and for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. I'll be back!

Having stayed at multiple Darwin Escape Locations (Piran Meadows, Cheddar Woods, Beach Cove) I have no hesitation in recommending them to everyone. These retreats are not like any other!

Fantastic brand new lodge and amazing hot tub.
Lodge was spacious & spotless.
Beds were good size and comfortable. Heating easy to use and fast to warm up.
Very comfortable stay.
Probably need a car as no walkable shops. But there was a pub that serves food a few minutes walk away.
Poole and Bournemouth are lovely and lots to do.,
Lovely little touches of bread and butter milk and drinks, robes and toiletries.
Make you feel spoilt from the outset.
We went February would definitely return any time of year.
A tiny bit more expensive than other parks but the quality is so worth it.
I'm going back asap

The lodge was fantastic. Modern, clean, comfortable and warm. Cozy enough to turn up the heating and watch the cold January weather from the comfort of the sofa.
I felt at home in the place the moment I'd unpacked my bag.

Wonderful accommodation and helpful staff.
JOYCE
We really enjoyed our stay here and the access to the forest with our dog was great. The site is well laid out. The enclosed veranda was good for our dog and ourselves. The lodge was lovely inside with good facilities. We shall certainly be coming again.
ANN
wonderful lodges, small quiet development. Ideal chill location with Wareham Forest on doorstep. A car is a must for visiting all local attractions. Although a bus stop is at entrance, taking you to Poole or Swanage.

Gemma

PAUL
The lodge was situated in beautiful well kept grounds, with parking right outside the property. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful and the lodge itself was beautiful, clean, comfortable, bright and airy, a definite home from home. We will definitely be going back as, for us, it was perfectly placed for the areas we love to visit.
Mick
Lovely accommodation friendly and helpful staff
Jade
Clean modern lodge
Dennis
We had unit 5 close to the Reception, we were very impressed with the quality of the Accommodation and all the furniture and kitchen goods, most of which were brand new. We are Timeshare Owner and are used to good units and contents and this was up the quality we experience when we make exchanges. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and it was set in a lovely area, close to the coast and lots of lovely pubs for meals. We would not hesitate in returning or of recommending it to others.
Malcolm
Arrived early after a phone call saying out lodge was ready which we thought was really nice and very much appreciated. The lodge was very clean and tidy and just loved every thing about our 4 day break. It was that good we booked to stay in the same lodge with the excellent Hot Tub next year in May. Everyone we spoke to on arriving to leaving were very friendly. Thank you to all staff for making out break so lovely.
Jayne
We had the fortune to get an April discount, so, with the weather and the cost, it was great.

Monkey World is not only a local attraction but the work they carry out is amazing.  Rescuing and rehabilitating monkeys and assisting governments around the world to stop the smuggling of primates are just some of the purposes of the centre. You get to see the primates themselves many of which have become famous from appearing on the TV show Monkey World - a documentary about this place. Open year round we think this is one of best attractions in Dorset and you even get the chance to adopt a monkey if you choose.
