Wareham Forest Lodge Retreat Reviews

"We had a really great stay at the lodge! It was just what we needed - safe, cosy and plenty of space for two adults and our little one. The place was well-equipped with everything from a huge fridge freezer to a microwave and dishwasher, which made life so much easier. The only tiny thing missing was a frying pan, but honestly, it didnt ruin our stay. Wed definitely come back - a lovely experience all round!"
Emma - Aug 2020
"We had a pretty good stay overall. The lodge was kept neat and cosy, with most essentials available, which was great. There were a couple of niggles - the bathroom hook fell off and the kickboard in the kitchen kept coming loose, but honestly, they didnt ruin our holiday. The beds were really comfy and the showers had lovely hot water and decent pressure. One thing we noticed was there was no colander in the kitchen, which was a bit annoying and the TV signal in the master bedroom was patchy because the aerial point was loose. Also, having two showers instead of one shower and a bath caught us off guard - not a big deal for us, but with a one-year-old, it couldve been tricky if wed stayed longer than four nights. Still, wed probably come back. Not perfect, but pretty close!"
Emma Clarke - Aug 2020
"We had an absolutely lovely time at Wareham Forest Retreat. The peaceful vibe, beautiful surroundings and friendly staff really made it special. Everyone in the family enjoyed the stay and were already thinking about coming back sometime soon!"
Emma Carter - Aug 2020
"Nice place, would come back again"
Jake - Aug 2020
"Our Wareham Forest Lodge Retreat review: Can't wait to return"
Emily Carter - Aug 2020
"Really enjoyed our stay! The lodge was super spacious and perfect for relaxing peacefully."
Alex - Aug 2020
"Really enjoyed our stay, it was peaceful and perfect for relaxing."
Emma - Aug 2020
"The lodge was really roomy and just right for our group of seven. Cleanliness was decent, though the ceilings had quite a few cobwebs everywhere. Not perfect, but okay!"
Emma - Aug 2020
"Overall, quite pleased. The wine fridge wasnt functioning properly - only maintained 28 degrees - and the heating kept kicking in randomly, which was a bit annoying, honestly."
Emma - Aug 2020
"Really enjoyed the stay, the lodge was perfect for us."
Emma - Aug 2020
"We loved the lodges prime spot and how spacious and spotless it was. The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive, especially with all the extra COVID measures in place. It all felt very safe and well looked after!"
James - Aug 2020
"Overall, quite pleased with the service, though the patio door issue was a bit of a pain and needed another call."
Rajesh - Jul 2020
"Our stay in the Hazel 3 lodge was quite enjoyable, even if there were a few quirks. The lodge itself is a good size and we loved the open plan living and kitchen area, plus the decking was a lovely touch. The master bedroom and en suite were really nice, definitely the highlights. We didnt see much staff due to Covid, but when we asked about the kitchen tap, it was fixed swiftly, so no complaints there. One thing that did bug us was the twin rooms - theyre quite different in size! One is pretty spacious with bigger beds and three mirrors, while the other is smaller with smaller beds and no mirrors, which felt a bit random. The cleanliness was generally good, especially in the bathrooms, but I did find myself washing all the crockery, cutlery and glasses before use because they werent quite clean enough upon arrival. The kitchen isnt as well equipped as the listing suggests either - we could have used more plates, bowls, knives and forks, since we kept running out. Theres also missing basics like kitchen scissors, a jug and a colander, which wouldve made cooking a lot easier. Honestly, if wed known all that beforeh and, wed have packed some of our own bits. Still, overall, not a bad stay, just a few little annoyances!"
Emma - Jul 2020
"We stayed at the lodge recently and really enjoyed it. The place was spotless, which was great! Only tiny issue was the ensuite sink - it was blocked with soap slime, but we managed to clear it ourselves. It might be worth the cleaning team giving that a quick look. Overall, wed definitely recommend it and would stay again!"
Emma - Jul 2020
"Great experience, would do again"
Liz - Jul 2020
"Great experience, definitely returning soon!"
Emma - Jul 2020
"We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is perfect, peaceful with lovely surroundings. The place itself is beautiful, though it could use a bit more attention to cleanliness - dust under the bed and a spill on the sofa. Still, we had a wonderful holiday!"
Emma - Jul 2020
"Perfect for a chill weekend, we really enjoyed it."
Emily Carter - Jul 2020
"Honestly, I was a bit taken aback finding dirty cups in the cupboard when we arrived. Thankfully, housekeeping sorted it out pretty fast, but it did make me wonder if everything else was properly cleaned. The lodge was well sealed and check-in was smooth with social distancing, but those cups made me want to give the place a wipe down myself just to feel safe. Not the best way to start our holiday, really."
Emma - Jul 2020
"Really enjoyed our stay, can't wait to visit again sometime soon! Definitely recommend."
Emma - Jul 2020
"We had a lovely stay overall. The lodge's style is stunning and really well put together. The staff were friendly and helpful. Only downside was the floor, which wasnt as spotless as wed hoped for the price."
Amelia Carter - Jul 2020
"Although our trip was cut short due to Covid, Wareham Forrest Lodge really cheered us up. As key workers, we needed a break and this place delivered! We left with great memories and are already looking forward to coming back someday. Absolutely loved it!"
Emma - Jul 2020
"Great spot, peaceful and well-kept, cant recommend enough, really enjoyed it!"
Emily Roberts - Jul 2020
"Really peaceful spot, exactly what we needed. No fuss."
Charlie Morgan - Jul 2020
"Really enjoyed it, will come back"
Emma - Jul 2020
"Great experience, would recommend highly"
Emma - Jul 2020
"We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge, nestled among the trees in a peaceful spot. The kitchen had everything we needed, though a few more teaspoons wouldnt hurt! The only downsides were the slow-draining basin in the ensuite and the closed reception because of Covid."
Emma - Jul 2020
"Great place for a family getaway! We loved the cosy vibe and central location. Highly recommend."
Emma - Jul 2020
"Good overall experience"
Emma - Jul 2020
"Really enjoyed the stay, the lodge was super comfy and spacious!"
Mark - Jul 2020
"We had a wonderful weeks break away at Wareham Forest lodge. We were allocated a lovely peaceful lodge which was completely private. Wareham Forest Lodge is on a peaceful location of you don’t mind driving. It is a great base to explore Swanage, Poole, Bournemouth and Weymouth."
Julie - Aug 2022
"The location and the surroundings were brilliant and the staff were helpful"
Keth - Aug 2022
"Absolutely lovely. The site was clean and tidy, the shop whilst small had essentials. The lodge itself was first class, no cheap utensils or saucepans, (same as I have at home) a dishwasher and washing machine within the lodge, even a wine cooler to use. Bedding and towels provided and again couldn’t fault quality. Would highly recommend and definitely will return"
Anthony - Aug 2022
"Highly recommend, very relaxing and quiet. Great accommodation."
Natalie - Aug 2022
"A great place to stay!! Extremely clean and tidy lodges and very well kept grounds. Very quiet and perfect for exploring the Jurassic coast and it’s beautiful seaside towns due to its location. Would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend ??"
Libby - Aug 2022
"Very peaceful site , fabulous staff and accommodation with fabulous little touches."
Debbie - Aug 2022
"This is our third holiday . lovely lodges really peaceful"
Sharon - Jul 2022
"Absolutely lovely lodge very clean and so quiet at the retreat"
Kevin - Jul 2022
"Wareham Forest Lodge retreat was a quiet site it did not have any entertainment or cafes or bars which suited us. It is surrounded by lovely grounds. The buses to Poole or Swanage are right outside so handy to hope on. There is a pub serving meals (the Claypipe) just a short walk down the road"
Marion - Jul 2022
"Absolutely beautiful and peaceful site. The grounds are well kept and maintained and there is a lovely pub the clay pipe inn about 5 minutes walk away that does a gorgeous carvery but you do need to book a table in advance."
Lisa - Jul 2022
"Lodge was very well equipped, comfortable bed, veranda with hot tub secluded and welcome after a days walking. Location was perfect with bus stop to Poole or Swanage just outside entrance, and a good pub/restaurant a 5 minute walk away."
Andrew - Jul 2022
"Lovely clean accommodation with all amenities. The hot tub was amazing and the location was lovely and quiet. The only small niggle was We stayed during the hottest couple of days and neatly baked alive, the accommodation could do with air conditioning, but other than that was perfect"
