Hoburne Park Cottages Reviews

"We had a pretty good time on our trip, honestly. The walk to the beach was around ten minutes and we strolled along Highcliffe, Avon and all the way to Mudford Quay - its a nice area for exploring. We also headed to the shopping centre on Saturday, which was about twenty minutes away - quite handy for a day out. The location really is great for getting to different places easily. The park facilities were a bit on the small side, but the pool was lovely and the parks themselves were quite nice. The staff were friendly, which made things easier. One thing that did bug us a little was the arcade - on several visits, there were no prizes, so I asked a lady if she could put some in and she kindly sorted it for us, which was sweet. The hot tub in the accommodation was set at 38 degrees, but since it was freezing outside, the temp dropped quickly to about 36.5, so it felt more like a warm bath than a proper hot tub - a bit disappointing. The heavy doors in the flat kept slamming shut and caused my mum to hurt her back when she was opening them. Also, on the last day, one of the laundry trucks beeped loudly as it was leaving, which really startled us! Still, overall, we really enjoyed our holiday."
Harper - Jan 2024
"We had a really lovely stay. The whole vibe was friendly and the pool outside was great fun."
James - Oct 2023
"We had such a lovely time at Avon Cottage on Hobourne Holiday Park! It truly felt like a home away from home, especially with that amazing hot tub. The place was spotless and had all the little luxuries we could want. Its only a short stroll to the reception, where theres an indoor and outdoor pool, a restaurant and nightly entertainment - perfect for relaxing. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Were already looking forward to coming back, thanks for a fab holiday!"
Harriet Bennett - Oct 2023
"We had a lovely stay in the two-bedroom cottages. Plenty of space for our family of four, with all the kitchen essentials. Spotlessly clean too and the location's perfect-near the beach and a big supermarket. Brilliant!"
Emma - Oct 2023
"Our Hoburne Park Cottages review: Really enjoyed our time at Mude Cottage! Its super cosy, spotless and has everything we needed. Felt just like home. Definitely returning!"
Emma Roberts - Oct 2023
"The place was really spacious and beautifully decorated, we loved the modern vibe. It was spotless! Only downside, the hot tub wasnt checked during our stay, which was a bit disappointing."
Emma Roberts - Jun 2023
"We had a fantastic stay! The house was really well kitted out and kept us warm, which was a lifesaver on a cold, rainy December day. The bath was perfect after a long walk and the shower was big enough to feel indulged. Although it's near a flight path, it didnt bother us at all. Perfect spot for dogs that dislike fireworks since its so remote. Thanks a lot!"
Ellie - May 2025
"We had such a lovely weekend at this place! It really ticked all the boxes for us and were already planning to come back. The pups were especially happy, thanks to the underfloor heating and the garden space. Lunas tail got a bit strained from all the wagging - guess she had a blast! Definitely a great stay for everyone."
James - May 2025
"We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was charming and peaceful, perfect for escaping busy city life. The hot tub was a lovely bonus and the owners were super helpful without being pushy. Theyve got it just right!"
Alex - May 2025
"We had such a lovely stay at this cottage! The place is really well looked after and has everything you could need. Our dog loved the nearby walks and meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig, was a real highlight. The host was super friendly and easy to communicate with. Were already planning to come back - great value for money!"
Emily - May 2025
"We had such a lovely stay! The place is nestled in a really peaceful, private spot which we loved. The owners are super friendly and always happy to help if needed, but you still feel like youre on your own. The hot tub was a real treat after cycling all day. Just a heads up, the cottage is right under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of noise from the planes. It didnt bother us much after a while, but it might bother sensitive sleepers. Still, overall a great find."
Raj - May 2025
"We had such a lovely stay at this cottage! Its tucked away on a working farm, so it feels super private, but still peaceful. Robert and Sharon are really friendly and make you feel welcome. The place itself is huge, with a well-equipped kitchen and bathroom and the bed was really comfy after long walks. The garden is perfect for dogs, totally fenced and with nice furniture to chill out. There are loads of walks nearby and Thaxted has some good restaurants-The Star and The Maypole are our favourites. Wed definitely recommend it!"
Emma - May 2025
"We had a really lovely time! Sharon and Robert made us feel super welcome from the start, which was much appreciated. The place was spotlessly clean, comfy and perfect for our dog Archie - he loved it! The location was just right, with loads of nice walks nearby and Thaxted along with the surrounding villages are such charming spots. Honestly, we left feeling completely refreshed and relaxed, it was just what we needed."
Emma - May 2025
"We stayed here for a week in July with our two tiny dachshunds and honestly, they had a blast! The village of Thaxted is charming and friendly, perfect for a peaceful escape. The cottage itself is lovely, especially the hot tub - a real treat after those scorching days when the water was cool enough to be super refreshing. The hosts were lovely and made us feel really welcome; we enjoyed seeing their horses being taken out each morning. Its close to Stansted, so you do get some planes overhead, but honestly, it didnt bother us at all. Would definitely come back!"
Emma - May 2025
"We loved staying here! Sharon and Robert really go above and beyond to make everything perfect. Its peaceful and cosy and after our second visit, were already planning to come back again soon. Cant wait!"
Emma - May 2025
"We absolutely loved this cottage! Such a peaceful spot, perfect for unwinding. The hot tub was a real highlight and the place was spotless with everything we needed. Plenty of lovely walks nearby, both in the village and beyond. Would definitely stay again!"
Emma - May 2025
"We had a fantastic weekend here and honestly, wed definitely recommend this place to anyone. Lovely spot."
Emma Carter - May 2025
"Really enjoyed our stay. The place was spotless and had everything we needed, plus the hot tub! Lovely!"
Emma - May 2025
"We loved the peaceful vibe and super friendly hosts. The hot tub was a real highlight! Perfect spot for couples and our dog enjoyed the garden too."
Sarah - May 2025
"We needed a quick escape for dog walking and this place delivered! Lovely accommodation, plenty of nearby pubs and eateries, plus endless fields and off-road routes. Our dog loved it so much, he didn't want to leave!"
James - May 2025
"We had a fantastic stay! The place was super peaceful and well kitted out. Loved the hot tub and the vibe was just right for unwinding. The hosts were lovely too. Perfect spot if you want some quiet time."
James - May 2025
"Great location, cosy atmosphere and everything was just right."
Emma - May 2025
"We had a lovely stay at this charming cottage. Its so well equipped, we barely needed to bring anything and the welcome pack was really thoughtful, covering all the info and menus. The owners, Sharon and Rob, were quick to respond if we had any questions, which was great. Our dogs adored the enclosed garden and the little extras for them were a nice touch. The hot tub was definitely a highlight - so relaxing! Overall, a fantastic break and well definitely be returning. Thanks for everything!"
Alex - May 2025
"We just got back from a week at Goddards Mead and loved it. The cottage had everything we needed and was super cosy. The hosts were really friendly, making us feel at home. Even on a working farm, it felt so peaceful and relaxing!"
Emma - May 2025
"Really enjoyed our time at Goddards Mead, such a lovely place to relax. Definitely coming back soon!"
Emma - May 2025
"We just got back from a fantastic four-night stay at this cottage. The owners were really friendly and helpful without being overbearing, which we appreciated. The fenced garden was perfect for our dog to run around freely. The place had everything we needed, including a fully equipped kitchen and a great BBQ. The hot tub was a real highlight! Were already telling friends about it and definitely plan to return. Thanks for a lovely break!"

The place itself is cosy and spotless, with a great shower and comfy bed - perfect after a day exploring.
