The one bedroom Morning Lodge is perfect for couples and has a sauna and a king-size four poster bed. The Discovery Lodge is luxurious and a good choice for small families with two bedrooms and a patio and lawn area with outdoor hot tub. Where's All?
Mr and Mrs Handford, Northumberland
We have just come back from Loch Shuna and felt we had to tell everyone how good it was. This was our 1st time to Scotland and out 1st lodge holiday and we were very impressed with everyting from the views to the hot tub. We went on some great walks (wrap up warm!) and spotted some rabbits and even a woodpecker. Hoping to go back next year.
Julia Piper
Just heaven. peace and quiet at all times, only the birds for background noise. it was just what we needed.
Sandra, Frodsham

Date of stay: 19th May 2018
Great place to stay if you want some peace and quiet and to relax. a very good first impression when we arrived and clean, tidy lodge with a basket of logs and a box of chocs to get us going! The rooms were exactly what we expected and clean, bedding was of good quality too. Most enjoyable relaxing in the hot tub at night or during the day, also the fact you don't need to go anywhere just enjoy the surrounding beauty and tranquillity of the setting. Would definitely go back again.
Simon, Cotswolds
Date of stay: 17th March 2018

Date of stay: 27th December 2017
Ideal place to have a romantic break, accommodation was lovely, some nice walks in the area and a couple of places to get good food. All in all a great Christmas holiday.
Gary, Leeds, West Yorkshire
Date of stay: 28th October 2017
Lodge was lovely and reasonably well equipped. The promise of wifi was unfortunately not delivered (this had apparently 'broken down' a few weeks ago and not been repaired) and therefore with no mobile reception, there was no access to internet (or the outside world!) at all at the lodge. Had we known this, we'd have done our detailed research of the area and things to do before we went, but expected to be able to do this whilst we were there on ipad/tablets. The 'back to basics' lifestyle was quite nice I suppose (re lack of tech) but the wifi was one of the reasons we booked this place. We would have booked elsewhere had we known. So it was back to the old tourist brochures to find things to do. The Lodge was on a very remote but beautiful island on the West coast of Scotland. Travel by car each day really was a must and this did mean some hours on the road most days as there are no 'direct' routes to anywhere! Excellent scenery and beautiful landscapes close by with some interesting heritage artefacts and standing stones. No real beaches to speak of nearby (our dog loves the beaches but these were limited). Would have liked to have maybe got to Mull or Skye but it was really just a bit too far for a day trip there. Still enough nearby to fill a week. The jacuzzi was a lovely way to spend the twilight hours (even in the rain) relaxing after a days walking and with a clear sky, the inky black depths of space show up the Milky Way and any passing shooting stars fabulously. We counted about 8 in an hour one night.
Lauren, Glasgow
Date of stay: 26th September 2017
I cannot thank Falcon enough for how welcoming he was with my partner and I, he showed us around and left us to it and we had the most amazing time. I cannot wait to get back
Maureen, Buckie
Date of stay: 16th September 2017
The lodge itself was perfect. In a great location, so relaxing. As pet owners the only fault for us was the garden was not enclosed, so we had to keep our two inquisitive Westies on a lead all the time, but that won't stop us going back.
Mark, West Lothian
Date of stay: 1st August 2017
Just what we wanted from our break away, perfect
Howard, Billingham

Although not a large cabin it was perfectly adequate for both of us and two small dogs. Comfortably furnished and well equipped. Quiet and private too. The hot tub and sauna are a great addition.

The only improvement could be to have some sharper knifes. Everything else is great.
Janice
Date of stay: 9th April 2016
Lodges are well equipped with all you need with the exception of towels, this was not however an issue as we were aware before we went.
Yvonne, Perth
Date of stay: 27th February 2016

if you need a break from the riggers of every day life then this is the place to go wonderful walking and very helpful people
Mark, Edinburgh
Date of stay: 22nd December 2015
Very warm and pleasant lodge. Good facilities for cooking and cleaning. Great hot tub and sauna. Some very low level lighting on the footpath leading to the hot tub would be beneficial. Just requires a few finishing touches to truly make it a luxury lodge... things like providing soaps in the toilets, providing towels, most of all providing robes and slippers for going to and from the hot tub.
Tracy, Alloa
Date of stay: 14th November 2015
Had a great 4 days with our two dogs, pub on the mainland were very welcoming of the dogs. The cabin itself had everything we needed and was very warm and cosy. Lovely and quiet and the hot tub was great after a long wet walk. Luke and Tilly the owners dogs were hilarious and very freindly, visiting every day for their buscuits. Oban is only 20 miles away and well worth a visit. We would definately go for another break at Discovery Lodge.
Heather, Glasgow
Date of stay: 10th November 2015
Lodge & surroundings were lovely & was very peaceful even though we had awful weather , my only problem was I wasn't sure if the water in the hot tub had been changed before we arrived it was dirty round the sides of the hot tub & the smell of our skin when we came out of it(wasn't very pleasant ) that was my only issue, would still recommend!
Sharon, Ilminster
Date of stay: 24th October 2015
Had a lovely relaxing week. We'll worth the 550 mile journey. Booked again already but for 2 weeks next time.

Date of stay: 3rd October 2015
The lodge was very comfortable. Lovely to stay in a wooden property. Suited us as a couple as it was a one bed room. Very private location and everything catered for. Didn't use the sauna but the hot tub was bliss!
Yvonne, Ayrshire Scotland
Date of stay: 26th September 2015
Excellent!! As stated prior would benefit from better path to hot tub.exterior light for evenings when using hot tub & more routine cleaning as situated directly below tree.
Daryll, Glasgow
Date of stay: 19th September 2015
Best ever we go every year now!
Hannah, Essex
Date of stay: 22nd August 2015
The lodge was comfortable with excellent facilities. Allowed us to get away from it all, switch off and relax.
Lindsay, Edinburgh
Date of stay: 18th July 2015
What a wonderful find! The cottage is "compact" and very cosy and in a secluded spot. We were lucky with the weather and able to enjoy the hot tub in the garden in beautiful sunshine. The twin bedroom is very small and more suitable for 2 children than 2 adults as we had in our party. However, that said there was everything we needed in the lodge to make our stay enjoyable. Lots of lovely scenery and wildlife in the local area too.
Laureen, Scarborough
Date of stay: 23rd May 2015
Perfect location, beautiful lodges, it was over too quickly. These lodges are fantastic as is the area. We definitely want to come back every year. Loved it.... Thank you!

Date of stay: 27th September 2014
Excellent accommodation and location.
Julia, Ayr
Date of stay: 27th September 2014
Sauna an hot tub. What more could you want? Internet is coming - eventually we are told. Otherwise, it's a weak connection at the pub, or a trip to a cafe in Oban.
Carol
Date of stay: 26th July 2014
Very well-equipped lodge
Rita
Date of stay: 31st May 2014
Would recommend
James, Tillicoultry
Date of stay: 10th May 2014
Very pleased with the Lodge , only reccomendation I would make is the need for a washing line as we spent so much time in the Hot Tub and it would have aided in drying our swim costumes ans towels .
Collin, Dunbar, East Lothian
Date of stay: 26th April 2014
First Time in the Terra Nova Lodge (had stayed in Discovery Lodge before which is almost identical). We had a wonderful relaxing break in this lovely lodge. Hot tub and sauna fab and facilities very good with everything you need supplied except towels and provisions.
Amanda, Carluke
Date of stay: 22nd April 2014
The bins had not been emptied on our arrival and the rugs were needing a wee wash. Having dogs with us we lifted the rugs and put their own blankets/beds down so they were happy.
Aileen, Ayr
Date of stay: 5th April 2014
Fully equpped Lodge and would definitely book again if we were to visit this area again.
Karen, Harrogate
Date of stay: 15th March 2014

Simply brilliant
Jeanette
Date of stay: 28th December 2013
Cabin was lovely and cosy - only minor criticsm was kitchen which wasn;t particularly well equipped. But if it hadn't been Christmas I certainly wouldn't have been doing so much cooking and probably wouldn't have noticed. In any event though, 3 mugs just isn't enough!
Christine
Lovely clean cottage in beautiful surroundings. Second time at this cottage and will be back. Everyone was so friendly, the pub was great and the local riding stable was awesome.
Lilias
This was a lovely lodge in a spectacular location - everybody should go there once but if everybody did I would not be able to book this again. I had a wonderful time exploring the surroundings and even spotted a house from the TV programme "Grand Designs". If you want to explore Argyll I can think of no better choice.
Simon
Secluded area, lodge has everything you need, owners dogs are fantastic, even came with us for walks. Will definitely be returning
Howard
This place is just the spot to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet, a stunning little Island with the chance of seeing an otter if that's your thing.
Martin
Ideal place to have a romantic break, accommodation was lovely, some nice walks in the area and a couple of places to get good food. All in all a great Christmas holiday.
Kelly
Fantastic lodge and facilities - great get away from everything
Rachael
Fabulous lodge!! Great hot tub and sauna, great surroundings. Everything you need is already in the lodge, firewood is provided and if you need more all you have to do is pop over and ask and you will be provided with more. Would 100% stay here again.
Nikki
Had a great few days at Lovh Shuna lodges! Beautiful peaceful setting and we will definitely be back!
