Golden Cross is an ideal base from which to explore East Sussex with its many historic towns and beautiful beaches. This is a peaceful location, right on the edge of the beautiful South Downs and close to Glyndebourne, Lewes and Brighton.

If walking and cycling are your thing, then this area is for you. The coastal path at Pevensey will take you past Pevensey Castle to Bexhill and then back again via Herstmonceux Castle and Observatory. The Cuckoo Trail at Eastbourne is perfect for families because it rarely crosses a main road.

Nordon Lodge Plus is a stunning lodge that sleeps up to four people with a double and a twin bedroom. It has a spacious, open plan living/dining area and patio doors that lead to decking and an outdoor hot tub. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with a dishwasher and washer/dryer.

A visit to the Hungry Monk in Polegate won't disappoint - it's a charming restaurant and renowned for its food which is a fusion of traditional and contemporary.

Our Top Tip

The welcome was warm, even though it was freezing cold and snowing! I had a one-night break with my daughter and 2 of her friends and they loved being able to use the private hot tub, especially in the snow! The lodge was beautiful and had everything that we needed. The dishwasher was broken, which wasn't the end of the world, but we were allowed a later check-out to make up for it. We'd love to go back again!

Our lodge was clean, modern and spacious but the kitchen was sparsely kitted out.
Some of the furniture is already showing signs of wear unfortunately.
The hot tub was clean and well maintained.
Overall good value for money

The lodge was very spacious and clean. There was a decent amount of utensils for the purposes of self catering. En suite in the master bedroom as well as stand alone tub in the main bathroom. The hot tub was a welcome addition.

Had a nice long weekend at Golden Cross park. Accommodation clean and warm, pleasantly surprised to find the hot-tub was more private than we had expected. Well equipped kitchen and a welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar/sweetener and milk. Could just have done with some hooks by the hot tub to hang towels, hooks in the bathroom so you don't have to put clean clothes on the floor, and also some hooks in the twin bedroom as there is no room for a wardrobe in there.
A good break. Just what we wanted. A good comfortable bed. All the things needed within a lodge to complete a good holiday. The hot tub/ Spa was refilled and cleaned everyday & ready for use when we got there.
The lodge site was clam and peaceful. Each lodge had it's own car parking space and hot tub (which was not overlooked). The tea, coffee and milk were a lovely touch on arrival. The site was chosen as a base and we were able to explore both Brighton, Beachy Head and Eastbourne from it.
Great place, stayed in Selby which was lovely, clean and comfortable. Quiet area but close to Eastbourne and Brighton. Nearby amenities and local villages and towns. Definitely stay again.
Great spec lodge and had a nice, chilled stay. The staff we excellent and very polite. Only bugbear was a lack of stuff to do in the local area.
Excellent location and value, no play area for kids, but we haven’t got kids, just an observation. Lovely pub in chiddlingly 1.3 mile walk away, great food and drink and very friendly atmosphere. Seven sisters country park is a short journey away for a nice cloud top walk. Eastbourne is close also for shopping and a walk along the seafront. The cuckoo trail is nearby again also for a nice walk, cycle or run👍
The lodge was clean, modern and warm. The Hot tub was fantastic, nice and quiet but could do with a pub or food places closer to the park so you can walk to them rather than drive. The location was very central so can drive to most places within 40 mins.
Loved this lodge..when we walked into it me and my wife both said wow we could live here lol one thing we would change is the sofa (maybe a 2 seater and a 3 seater). Again we loved this lodge.
Lovely lodge on a very quiet site with a hot tub!
Great relaxing holiday with the benefit of hot tub and dressing room!
Lovely lodge in immaculate condition. Nice quiet site. Great hot tub. Location of site is good as a base for exploring but not the most inspiring location just off main busy road. This didn’t bother us though as we didn’t really notice the road noise and it was so lovely within the small site.
