Kentisbury Grange Country Park
Kentisbury Grange Country Park has much to offer both families and couples as well as groups of friends. The lodges themselves are luxurious with spacious living areas and glass ceilings. The private outdoor hot tubs command stunning views of the waterside, and make the most of the glorious setting.
One of the hidden gems in this region we can't recommend these lodges enough, especially for special occasions. The Coach House Restaurant provides fresh, delicious food and will appeal to those who like fine dining.
The local area is beautiful with plenty to see and do. Some great family days out close by include The Big Sheep in Bideford and Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park. Of course you could just get out and enjoy the Exmoor National Park or the first class beaches and pretty villages close by.
The Kentisbury Lodge sleeps 4 and is a superb lodge with plenty of mod cons. The living area has mood lighting and a rotating TV. The master bedroom has a walk in shower, while the twin bedroom comes with en suite and free standing roll top bath. The ipod docking station and luxury toiletries are just some of the things which show attention to detail, and make this lodge extra special.

Amazing holiday and would return next year

Would 100% recommend

The young lady who greated us on arrival and was persistent enough to show us around our lodge, took the wow factor away from us arriving at to our honeymoon destination!

The holiday lodge was amazing. The only niggle was that it's starting to show major wear and tear. The laminate floor is ripped and jagged in multiple places and catches shoes and socks - it would hurt bare feet. The bathroom floor was stained too. Other than that the lodge was amazing it just needs a bit of maintenance. It would have been nice if there was a little welcome package with things like butter and oil in small quantities etc as getting these for a short stay is difficult. I would stay here again.

Beautiful place to stay! Shame that the weather wasn't great, but that didn't matter as the lodge was stunning and more than made up for it. It is in a great location, in close proximity of lots of different places to visit, most within a 20 min drive max. All of the food that we ate everywhere we went was amazing and I would definitely recommend a trip to the Coach House Restaurant on the site as the food is incredible.

Brilliant lodges!!! Very happy. Great location for attractions and beaches for our son. The reservoir, just around the corner was well worth a visit for a walk/run. We have booked for next year too and recommended to our family!

Great value for money. Lodge and hot tub wonderful.

Fab lodge, I have stayed in many others but this one was the best so far.
Date of stay: 6th August 2016
The lodges are excellently presented and extremely comfortable.
The only (small) gripes are:
- Internet access is patchy (due to being Satellite delivered at the moment)
- Some of the technologies weren't usable such as DAB radio, Samsung Sound bar, iPod dock (old connector and no adaptor)
- No welcome pack (milk, bread etc) which would have been a nice touch
Superbly equipped lodge that is well maintained and spotless. It is very spacious and overlooking the small fish pond. Very quiet location. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was good although lacked a baking tray - small point. Hot tub was excellent too. The resident fox was also a joy to watch and we saw him everyday and got some cracking photos. We were there during a heavy snowfall and the site was slow to clear the lanes and paths albeit that the roads were blocked anyway. Just need to prepare a little better in future. That small point we would recommend and hopefully be back.
Such a lovely tranquil place to spend time in. Both my husband and I lead very stressful lives in our work so it was a superb place to stay
We spent August bank holiday 2017 at Kentisbury Grange Lodges and returned this Easter 2018 as we enjoyed it so much
It's a place where you can rest and enjoy the facilities and the lovely surroundings or go out and about in the car and explore. Barnstaple, Lynton and Exeter must be on anyone list if they stay at Kentisbury
We will book again
the property isloveley but there could be more information on places to eat around as difficult to locate anywhere due to the rural location a less expensive place on site would be good
Loved the hot tub and peace and quiet. Our 4 year old loved it too!
Amazing lodge with hot tub would defo return
A fabulous stay at this stunning lodge .Fantastic staff very helpful will definitely return.
Lovely location and the lodges have large ponds surrounding them which makes it even more relaxing while in the hot tub. The lodges are very well equip with top of the range kitchens. The bath had a tv at the bottom of it! And the lodge has speakers built into every room, including the shower room, with equipment that you can use via Bluetooth.
Beautifully modern furnished log cabin with everything you need for a relaxing stay.
Fantastic short brake, would highly recommend for anyone looking for that extra special place to stay
The best lodge we have ever stayed in. Could do with option of being able to order a welcome hamper on arrival as our journey from Kent was pretty awful and not a local shop to get essentials, not a compliant at all, just a suggestion.
Cant wait to come back x
Exmoor Zoo is described as a "family zoo" on their website and it certainly makes a great day out for families. There are many exotic and rare animals as well as birds to see which are living in natural surroundings. Some recent improvements at the zoo include a new 5 metre tower at the cheetahs and raised walkways at the "beast". There is also a new viewing platform over the sitatunga. As well as the amazing animals to experience there are regular fun activities such as face painting, daily events and zoo trails.
Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park is a big hit with families and has a wonderful setting within 26 acres of Sub Tropical grounds. During a stroll around the site you will encounter so of the worlds most endangered animals and also take a peek back to prehistoric times when Dinosaurs roamed the earth. The park is home to the worlds only full size animatronic Tyrannosaurus Rex as well as Lions, Wolves, Sea Lions, Meerkats and many other species, Top attractions include the amazing Sea Lion Shows, Falconry Display and Sea Lion Swims.
North Devon Farm Park is a haven for wildlife and has a fantastic location making it the perfect place for a day out during the summertime. As well as gorgeous scenery, picnic areas and plenty of space for children to play the park offers a Play Area, Tea Room serving local produce, a Petting Zoo where little ones will love meeting the affectionate animals and Nature tTails. There is also a Play Area.
This is a really unique attraction in the Devon region with many unique events taking place throughout the year. The Halloween Festival in October is well planned where you can take pumpkin carving workshops, ride the ghost train and go to witches flying school. All year round there are some excellent
