Oakcliff Holiday Park Reviews

"We had a fantastic stay at this lovely little spot. The setting is so peaceful and private, yet the owners are super friendly and nearby if needed. The hot tub was a real treat after cycling all day! Just a heads up - the cottage is directly under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of plane noise. It didnt bother us after a while, but if you're sensitive to noise, its worth considering. Overall, a great find and wed definitely come back!"
Rajesh - Apr 2025
"Absolutely loved our stay! The owners really go above and beyond. It was super relaxing and well be telling everyone about it."
Craig - Mar 2025
"We really enjoyed our stay, but a small hiccup with the radiators was a bit disappointing. We mentioned that some werent working and lacked knobs to adjust the temperature, but it seemed like they werent checked beforehand. The team was quick to respond once we alerted them, which was good. Still, we ended up without heating in the main bedroom and bathrooms, which was a bit of a pain. Overall though, its a lovely place and were planning to come back!"
Emma - Mar 2025
"Really surprised by the space inside, its so much better than we expected for the price!"
Alex Turner - Feb 2025
"Our Oakcliff Holiday Park review: We stayed at this charming little cottage and honestly, it had everything we could think of - we didnt need to bring a thing! The welcome pack was full of useful info and the little extras for our dogs were a lovely touch. The enclosed garden was perfect for the pups and the hot tub was spot on for relaxing after a day out. Sharon and Rob were quick to reply whenever we had questions, which was really helpful. Its a fantastic place for a peaceful break, well definitely be back!"
Ellie - Dec 2024
"Really enjoyed the stay, the Jacuzzi was definitely a highlight!"
Jordan - Dec 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay, lovely place for families."
Lucy - Dec 2024
"We just got back from a really nice four-night stay at this cottage. The owners are super friendly but not at all intrusive, which was great. The big fenced garden was perfect for our dog to run around freely. The place had everything we needed, including a fully equipped kitchen and even a BBQ for one evening. The hot tub was definitely the highlight! Wed happily come back and already recommended it to friends. Thanks for a lovely break!"
Jess - Nov 2024
"It was odd not to find a hair dryer included, but the site sorted it quickly!"
Oliver - Oct 2024

Jessie - Feb 2024
"We had such a lovely stay at this place! The location is absolutely stunning and feels very private, which we really appreciated. The owners were super friendly and always available if we needed anything, but it still kept that peaceful vibe. The hot tub was a real highlight after a long day out cycling. One thing to note, though - the cottage is right under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but it didnt ruin our trip at all. Definitely recommend!"
Raj - Feb 2024
"Absolutely loved our stay! The owners really went above and beyond. Perfect spot for a chilled weekend away. Highly recommend!"

"Nice cabin, but a little cramped for six adults. Would suit fewer people better."
Jamie - Jun 2023
"We had a fantastic time at this lovely cottage! It's set on a working farm, but surprisingly private and quiet. Robert and Sharon are such warm, welcoming hosts. The place itself is really spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed that made us feel right at home. The garden is perfect for dogs-completely secluded and nicely furnished. Plenty of nice walks nearby and Thaxted has some great places to eat. We especially enjoyed The Star and The Maypole. Definitely recommend!"
Simon - May 2023

"We had a lovely stay! The place was super clean and comfy. The only annoying thing was the tiny toilet, but having a shower room toilet helped. We'd definitely come back. Definitely recommend for a chill getaway!"

Olivia - Feb 2020
"A lovely quiet holiday park great for relaxing and the views are fantastic over the bay!"

"amazingly clean lodge"
Vilma - Jul 2022
"Apart from arriving after a long journey to find they didn't have my booking, the holiday was great. The park is very quiet in a beautiful setting. The site is kept clean and tidy at all times. There's no club house just a pool but you can use there sister site which had everything there. A short walk and your by the sea and local shops or ten minute drive and your in the town. Plenty to do or just chill. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again."
Pauline - Jul 2022
