"We stayed in Annog lodge. So quiet and peaceful. Saw geese, herons, kingfishers, ducks, swallows. Take a fishing rod there’s loads of carp. Kids loved catching them. Loads to do in surrounding area. Lodge was beautiful and Host was really helpful. Lots of lovely goodies left for our arrival. Would definitely come again."

"Absolutely first class"
Chris - Aug 2020
"Excellent relaxing break, in a very clean, well equipped lodge."
Andrew - Aug 2020
"Excellent would recommend if chilling, relaxation and quiet time in a beautiful location are your holiday-priorities. It was a wonderful break in an amazing place. I loved it.

I have given a 9 for furniture and fittings as I missed a few kitchen/house essentials like: more kitchen towels, pirex/measuring/glass jug, sweeping brush, plug or bowl for the sink, oven gloves that are completely heat resistant, a second shelf in the oven, keys to open the windows. 9 for comfort as the pillows were lumpy in the main bedroom and not the best for 10/10 nights sleep. Minor things though, on the whole, no complaints."
Michelle - Jul 2020
"Amazing Lodge, very comfortable and was lovely to be greeted with a little hamper with luxuries and then Prosecco on the bed. Was just perfect."
Andrew - Jul 2020
"Excellent will definitely return."
Terence - Mar 2020
"Love the lodge, this was our second time staying in this one. I would say it probably needs a bit of a decorate and a deep clean but this didn't detract from a relaxing stay."
Roland - Mar 2020
"The Lodge was amazing, weve stayed at Lakeside Lodges a few times and the Retreat is definitely one of the best. The co owner Chris was great ensured our needs were met from the moment we booked to day we left he was very approachable and friendly. The Lodge is big and very clean. The Hot Tub was amazing just the right temperature. We loved it at this Lodge and definitely recommend it."
Rigby - Mar 2020
"This is the 4th lodge we have stayed in at Anglesey lakeside lodges. It is one of the best ones we have stayed in. Really good communication with Geoff and a really lovely welcome basket from Olwyn. The lodge is cosy and really well equiped. The highlight I think was lying in bed watching the lambs frolic in the Field opposite."
Keli - Mar 2020
"Fantastic location. The lodge was amazing well equipped we wanted for nothing. We was welcomed with milk in fridge a bottle of fizz and even treat for our dog. The hot tub was well used despite the weather"

The lodges owner is very helpful, and communication excellent . We would have no hesitation in booking again."

Karen - Jan 2020
"Our second time staying at Lower Lake Boathouse and it was as perfect as the first, perhaps a little more special as this time we returned as parents with our baby. As we opened the door it smelt beautiful and it was spotlessly clean. I love how the lodge sits directly on the water, amazing views and we loved saying hello and pointing to the ducks! The lodge has everything you need, I was impressed with all of the baby facilities, Steve the owner really has thought of everything to make a wonderful stay. A bottle of prosecco was a lovely touch. Towels on all beds, perfectly placed and every room was so inviting and warm. The heating in the lodge was lovely to wake up to! The mattresses are so comfortable, the best nights sleep I've had in months! We used both bathrooms, upstairs for a relaxing bath and the master bathroom for the wonderful power shower! The kitchen, all the essentials you need are provided and the lodge's open plan layout is great to still chat and watch the baby play whilst cooking. There is a cupboard with ironing board, iron and brush, vacuum etc. Really useful for us having the baby. I enjoyed the dishwasher alot, a luxury for us as we don't have one at home. Being January we had rain for few days and then the rest dry. So the tv was great, nice and big (we took our Chromecast and this was brilliant for watching babies favourite programs on YouTube and nexflix for us in the evening etc) Wifi once connected is fabulous as our signal with 02 dropped and it was emergency calls only displayed on our devices. (Tip- I found that standing on the decking at the bottom gave me 2bars of signal) You can easily use WhatsApp to connect to humas if you wish, but we didn't bother . The evenings, the highlight of our stay, to have a bit of us time in the delightful hot tub. We took our video baby monitor which of course meant I could relax when baby was sleeping. The surroundings are so peaceful and we enjoyed going on walks around the lake. We have made lovely memories. Our stay was perfect and I felt so at home and safe. So thank you Steve for sharing your Lodge with us, we will of course be booking to come back!"
Hayley Lewis & Baby Noel - Jan 2020
"Stunning lodge, in a stunning location. Peaceful and everything you could wish for. The lodge had been beautifully decorated for Christmas and a Xmas hamper and wine was awaiting our arrival. Hot tub and sauna are a fantastic addition and were well used. We all spent a great week over Christmas, along with family, who had booked a neighbouring lodge.
Will definitely be returning."
Kim - Dec 2019
"Tranquil setting, excellent lodge, hits the spot every time"
Joe - Dec 2019
"We had a lovely Christmas in this wonderful lodge. Everything we needed and more. Linda the owner was more than helpful."
Cath - Dec 2019
"Perfect location for our pre Christmas getaway"
Carl - Dec 2019
"Brilliant. Relaxing. Just what we needed."
