Date of stay: 9th April 2018
Fantastic location for a peaceful getaway with close friends. Layout means you have a lot of privacy. Lovely spacious lodge, more than ample facilities inside (full oven, washer/dryer, dishwasher, shower and bath etc). Very clean inside. Hot tub was fantastic, at temperature when we arrived and the chemical levels were checked every day by a member of staff. Love the outside seating area. Will definitely be returning.
Only negative would be that the waitress service in the club restaurant could have been better - staff didn't appear familiar with the drinks available or the menu and they didn't appear to communicate very well with each other. However the food was lovely.
Roger, Bexhill
Date of stay: 30th March 2018
Very comfortable lodge

Date of stay: 26th February 2018
Would def go back again !
Jodie, Basildon
Date of stay: 19th February 2018
Lovely cabin which is much bigger than it looks, overlooks Hole 1 on the golf course but due to the time of year we visited, this wasn't an issue as until the Monday morning no-one was playing golf.
If you are going to visit a supermarket, I would suggest visiting the Sainsbury's as advised in the guide book - we thought we'd visit a Tesco the same distance away but this took us up in the hills down little one way country lanes & took much longer due to this.
The only issue we found really was there was no tea-towel or anything provided for drying cups / plates & this isn't something we would ever bring as we have stayed in a lot of This companies properties & a tea-towel has always been provided, there was only 1 baking tray for the oven - could do with one or two more & all of the symbols have rubbed off the oven so it's quite difficult to figure out what setting you have got it in - we put food in and hoped for the best.
The hot tub is brilliant - biggest one we've ever had, wasn't fully hot until around 11pm on the first night due to it being fully drained as the last people had got glass in it. Not sure how when plastic wine & pint glasses are provided for use in the tub.
Nice little place & good for the money we paid - we'd go back for the same price.
Gail, Gillingham Dorset

Date of stay: 26th August 2017
Good size lodge with great views. There kitchen wasn't stocked with all of the utensils we have had in other lodges. Double bed was two singles pushed together, the headboards overlapped and weren't fixed on.

Peaceful, relaxing, Clean - We will be back

We grabbed a great last minute deal and headed down to Exeter. The four of us (Two Couples) were greeted by a nice chap in reception who gave us our key and pointed us to the lodge. The lodge was in very good shape and although needing a lick of paint on the outside, was perfect.

The hot tub was in constant use and we found ourselves sat outside until 3am both nights watching the shooting stars.

We had a few hours on the golf range which was great but spent the majority of the time relaxing in the hot tub.

The only downside was the shower - the boiler was tiny so the showers were literally a quick 2 minute shower then jump out - any longer than that and everyone else would be showering in cold water or waiting an hour for it to fill back up (As we found out on the first night).

Stayed April 2017, travelled as a couple
Rebecca
Date of stay: 24th April 2017
Really nice lodge clean and plenty of facilities inside. Hot tub was clean. Staff at reception were not very welcoming and didn't explain how to get to the lodge. Think a better map layout would be a good idea and a net protecting parked cars from the golf balls next to the lodges. Went fishing, one of the lakes is very polluted and dirty so avoided that one. Other then that great weekend away. Thanks hoseasons

Deep cleaning high level and edges needed apart from that all was good.
Stacey, Solihull
Date of stay: 17th February 2017
Attention to detail with cleaning (flies and cobwebs in lights, mark on the bed on arrival, kitchen walls were grubby).
Instructions required for how to use the cooked due to numbers and details on oven warn off

Date of stay: 30th September 2016
The Lodge was spacious and well stocked for self catering, although the fridge/freezer needed defrosting and we couldn't work out how to use the hob. That just meant we ate out at the club house restaurant , which was a bonus.
Paul, Poole
Date of stay: 2nd September 2016
Hot tub made the whole experience really relaxing.
Martin
Date of stay: 27th August 2016
Few problems which were sorted as soon a reported . Washing machine broke lights not working step broke when husband stood on it , toilet leak, cold hot tub on first night and dvd not working. But didn't cause a problem staff friendly and we had some good banter with them as there for 2 weeks became a ongoing joke.
Lorraine
Date of stay: 5th August 2016
The lodges were spacious and well equipped. The only downside we found was that the sofas are very low and slightly 'tired', so could do with renewing. We had a few issues on arriving at the lodge (dishwasher not working and light fittings missing) but these were fixed on the day of reporting. On arrival, we were told the washing machine was broken and would be replaced during our holiday, which it was. This didn't cause us any problems as we didn't need to use it until nearer the end of our holiday.
Nicola
Date of stay: 9th July 2016
Very nice place to stay & would return. However few maintenance issues in lodge itself need attention i.e. broken kitchen floor tiles, dishwasher door wouldnt open fully & shower room was mouldy. Needed attention on cleaning issues

Purchased the break as a present for my boyfriend and neither of us were disappointed. The lodge itself was clean and extremely comfortable, the staff were polite and always ready to help and the location was perfect; we couldn't have asked for more. Only downside to the holiday was the unpredictable English weather, but i guess that's to be expected at the start of November! Would definitely choose to visit in the future.

Very nice and clean lodge. DVD player needs to be updated and slightly biggeR tv. Rooms are a good size. Nice to have a choice of a bath or shower. Kitchen is well stocked. Not much about but we enjoyed our selfs. We had to travel to go places. Breakfast a little expensive. But very nice and a variety of choice. Kids LOVED the hot tub! Overall we really enjoyed our selfs and would be back!

Date of stay: 27th June 2015
The interior of the Lodge was clean and tidy. We had a faulty toaster which we reported to the staff and it was exchanged the same day.

I would like to see wi fi as standard in the lodges as you have to pay extra for each day to use it. It is free in the club house. All my family and I would like to return to Fingle Glen in the future.....

Nice lodge. OK for 2 but could be a bit crowded for 4 adults.
Being a bit small limited to what furniture it could take.
Hot tub was great. First time we had one of these. Did not order one but were upgraded upon arrival.
Craig, Bristol
Date of stay: 13th April 2015
Only downside was a little far away from anything. But the views were fantastic and the rest of the break was faultless
Mark, Hampshire
Date of stay: 10th April 2015
We had a fabulous time!! The lodge was lovely but could have done with a deep clean around the edges. The restaurant was very slow (not easy with a 7month old). However, the staff were lovely the location beautiful and would return in a heartbeat.
Leesa
Date of stay: 3rd April 2015
The first lodge we were allocated had a broken shower and bath tap, but we were moved within 30 minutes to another Fairway lodge. I will say that the second Fairway did look like it had just been built, everything looked brand new, and it was much nicer than the first, although that was by no means bad.
Belinda, Christchurch
Date of stay: 23rd March 2015
We had a lovely break, hot tub amazing although a little tricky to get the cover back on after use. lodge was clean and warm and had everything we could need. will be returning very soon.

Date of stay: 2nd February 2015
Lovely lodge. Perfectly laid out. Clean tidy.
Only thing we could have done with was a cover over the hot tub area (maybe a retractable one would be good ?) as it was a rainy weekend.
We improvised by buying tarpaulin & clips.
We had a fabulous weekend though. It was very nicely situated and had everything we needed.
Thank you.
Rebecca, Bridgwater, Somerset
Date of stay: 19th January 2015

These log cabins are beautiful, always lovely and clean with bed linen and towels provided, although I would take an extra towel for when you get out the hot tub!
It's such a comfortable relaxing place, very peaceful.
The furniture is all modern and comfortable, we noticed new sofa's this year, everything you need is there..you can hire BBQ's aswell. The hot tub was amazing, very well maintained and was ready to use when we arrived.
Lorraine, Birmingham
Date of stay: 30th August 2014
Lovely acommadation in a nice relaxing setting. Our bins wasn't emptied the whole week we were there and the sofas could do with being changed as worn.
Susan
Date of stay: 22nd August 2014
Lodge was very spacious
Janet, Newquay, Cornwall
Date of stay: 2nd August 2014
We loved the lodge and the hot tub. There was plenty of room for the 4 of us (2 parents and older teenage daughters). The units are bit tired and there was a minor problem with the hob. Some of the kitchen items could have been cleaner but it was not too much of an issue: pots are quite small (had to cook pasta in 2 saucepans as not 1 big enough) so if likely to cook much consider items you might need. Very nice having a dishwasher though!
Stephen, Newport
Date of stay: 1st August 2014
The lodge has dishwasher, oven, hob and microwave plus a bath and separate shower all of which are modern and practical. Food is available at the club house at discounted prices for residents although we didn't eat there ourselves.
Adrian, Wolverhampton
Date of stay: 26th July 2014
lodge was very nice and large enough for a family. cleanliness was only an issue because we were there for two weeks and it would have been great to have had a hoover, everything else was great and the hot tub in the V I P lodge was fantastic
Duncan
Date of stay: 25th July 2014
Excellent accomodation - ideal for our purpose. Quiet location
Rebecca, Gloucestershire
Date of stay: 25th July 2014
The lodges were fantastic and were situated perfectly on the first tee of the golf course overlooking fantastic views!! Only negative was because of the hot days the lodges seemed to hold the heat so sleeping was an issue!! Maybe a fan could be an option??
Kaz, Brighton
Date of stay: 16th June 2014
Lodge was very well equipped and spacious. Good do with a thorough clean above the eye line as dust apparent on pine walls in both bedrooms. Bed very comfortable but sofa could do with replacing. Television very small and needs updating. Very large pine tree right in front of our lodge which prevented any late afternoon/evening sun shining on our verandah, whilst all the other lodges had full sunshine! Overall though very pleased with the lodge.
Peter
Good mini break
Gina
Lovely lodge , good value for money, a little bit out of the way but plenty of places to drive to.
Holly
We visited Fingle Glen Lodges in April and had a fab time. Our lodge was very spacious, clean and tidy and had everything we needed! We especially enjoyed the hot tub. There are lots of shops and days out within a 20 min drive. We would definitely recommend Fingle Glen Lodges and we will be returning!
Steven
Ideal for a wkd break, getting booked in was straight forward we were in the lodge within 5 minutes of arriving and the lodge itself was already cosy warm and clean , couldn't fault the hot tub either. All the staff I spoke to were polite and friendly, would def go back again .
Natasha
We were very happy with the lodge and surrounding area. The hot tub was nice and the staff were really nice. We will look to cone here again
Gail
This is our 2nd time staying here, a beautiful place and the lodges are fab - roomy and clean with everything you need. Restaurant food is excellent and staff more than helpful and pleasant. If you just want to park up and not have to drive there is a bus stop just outside which takes you into Exeter city centre which is great. Will definitely be returning again 🤗
Anthea
Only disappointment was being there with the family and having no option other than Valentine's set menu to eat in bar on the evening!
Lesley
we had a wonderful break and hope to visit again next year !
