"We loved this cosy little cottage! Perfect mix of seclusion and convenience-close enough to town but still peaceful. The hot tub was a real highlight and the underfloor heating kept us super warm. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie were lovely hosts. Cant wait to return soon!"

Alex - Apr 2024
"We had an absolutely lovely stay! The owners are genuinely wonderful-so kind and always ready to help. The cottage is charming, with that lovely half-timbered look and its kept spotless. The shower is really powerful and the cosy kitchen plus the comfy bed made it feel just like home. Parking right next to the cottage is a bonus and the location is perfect for walks to Thaxted and exploring nearby villages with their pretty windmill and traditional houses. Wed definitely come back!"
Oliver - Dec 2023

"Best lodge we have stopped in the fridge and cooker and kitchen are topped notch In fact all the facilities are 5 star. The lodge overlooks the 10th fairway and green and it's quite amusing seeing how many golfers end up in the trees Would highly recommend"
James - Jul 2022
"We absolutely loved our time here, the lodge is immaculate and stunning. The hot tub was amazing. Very well equipped kitchen and a coffee machine. We really couldn’t fault anything about the lodge at all, it’s beautiful. The only two things we would like to mention is the lodge is not actually owned by Cambridge Country Club and the staff there were not very helpful at all, it felt very awkward like we had gone to the wrong place, and like they were having to go out of their way just to get our key. They did not mention anything to do with the restaurant, pool or anything they offered which I thought was a missed opportunity for them. The other thing which would not put us off going again but might do if you had a young family, was on the first three nights we had very noisy people in the lodge next to us, some nights playing music loud until 4am, again no fault of the owners of the lodge but just to make you aware. You do need to travel for days out but not very far. The owners of the lodge should be incredibly proud, they have got Trinity Lodge just perfect."

"Very accommodating staff."
Gavin - Jun 2022
"Fabulous accommodation. Very relaxing however outside of the facilities on site there is little to do in the surrounding area. We did however travel into Cambridge for a sightseeing and shopping day!. The Country Club is beautifully decorated, has a good gym and swimming pool and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we did not get to play golf due to the weather (Storm Eunice)."
Jane - Feb 2022
"We had a great weekend and already booked the lodge again for next year, 10/10 from us!"
Joanne - Dec 2021
"Loved it here so so much. Can’t wait to go back. The Country Club was all new and the facilities were brilliant."
Sophie - Dec 2021
"The facilities are amazing and the venue is beautiful. The staff were really welcoming and helpful. Great location to access to Cambridge for the day too."
Sallyanne - Nov 2021
"We very much enjoyed our weekend away, there are a few areas that require improvement, but I will put this down to the lodges being fairly new. When we arrived, we checked in at the Country Club and were handed the keys which were labelled lodge 4, however there are no numbers visible on the lodges so it wasn't clear which lodge was ours. When we finally located the correct one, only one of the keys worked in opening the lodge. It was advertised as having bunk beds, but we found there to be only 2 singles, which was actually a positive for us. However some beds were missing bedding and the hot tub was not only emptied but in a serious need of clean. Once we alerted the staff to this they brought round the bedding and started cleaning the hot-tub and refilling. We arrived at around 4 on Friday and couldn't use the hottub until Saturday afternoon as it heats up at around 1-2 degrees an hour. Being there for 3 nights this wasn't a problem but had it been shorter it would have been more frustrating. The lodge itself was fantastic, it was equipped with everything we needed. The Bluetooth sound system was excellent, and it was decorated nicely throughout. The kitchen came equipped with everything and more including oven, grill, hob, double fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, toaster and almost every utensil you could think of. We were greatful that there was also plenty of cleaning products so we could clean up after ourselves as we needed to. Beds were very comfy and both bathrooms were just brilliant. Having an iron and ironboard was a nice surprise and really helped. There was only a small waste bin provided and no indication of where we could take our rubbish. There was quite a lot after 3 days and would have been helpful if there was somewhere on site we could have taken it. When we have stopped in these type of lodges before, there is often a welcome pack/guest information pack of some sort that gives you all the information you need about using certain things in the lodge (TV, hottub, Bluetooth sound system, heating/boiler etc.,) as well as listing what you could do on site and in the local area, there was neither no health and safety signs up in terms of hazards including the decking surrounding the hot tub which could become slippery. Whilst we didn't need these as we used our common sense, I suspect they may be required at some stage. Overall it was a pleasant stay and we would definitely visit again and recommend to freinds and family, there are certainly still room for improvements and I suspect these will be refined over time as they become more popular."
