Heathergate Boutique Holiday Park Reviews

Lovely lodge set within beautiful Northumberland scenery. The free standing bath was a super added extra.
Verified Guest - Jan 2024
Damien and his team have really excellent customer service. They ensure all the guests are well looked after and want everyone to have a great time. I called reception as I forgot to ask for a travel cot before my arrival and that was brought to our lodge very quickly and it was easy to assemble. We stayed in lodge 53 with facilities of a hot tub, steam room and sauna. The lodges are modern and in great condition with everything you need. The swimming pool is a little bit of luxury and is another great feature of the holiday park.
Rebecca - Jan 2024
Amazing from start to finish! 5* plus
Louise - Jan 2024
Stayed for 3 nights. So peaceful and chilled. Fantastic cosy lodge - had everything you would need. Hot tub was brilliant with lovely views to look out over. Swimming pool / sauna / steam room / gym excellent also. Brand new.Very friendly and helpful staff and residents. Will definitely return.
Kevin - Jan 2024
Me and my partner had a two night stay in January and it was above our expectations. The Portland lodge was amazing! Big and homely. The hot tub was the highlight of our stay. It was our first weekend away together since welcoming our second daughter last year and it was just what was needed before I return to work. We left feeling so relaxed. The views and sunsets were beautiful. We will definitely be returning later this year. Ohand the little welcome pack was so lovely! Thank you for a beautiful break!
Amy - Jan 2024
Amazing lodge, we really enjoyed our stay. Hot tub was a bonus. Only thing that let it down was the mattress in main bedroom for being a five star park did not expect to feel every spring in the mattress. It would not stop us from staying again. We would have asked for it to be changed but did not want to disturb someone over the Christmas x
Tracey - Dec 2023
Fantastic lodge with great hot tub. Everything we needed for a great Autumn break - warm, clean, quiet, comfortable.

Absolutely fantastic find. Would definitely come back and stay here, in fact I want to live in the lodge we had! It was just perfect from start to finish and the welcome prosecco and gift pack was a lovely touch
Michele - Nov 2023
A lovely lodge in a beautiful setting
LordL - Nov 2023
We stayed here for five days with our twin grandchildren, age 8, in August. The lodge and site were both immaculate. The lodge was exactly as described on the website, although Hoseasons had not made it clear on their website that towels were provided. As well as towels we were delighted to find towelling dressing gowns for the hot tub. There was a dishwasher and a washing machine. The lodge was spacious and smart, and very clean. The kitchen included lots of pots, pans and utensils, and we were able to self cater without any problems. The lodge felt very private as our decking area was not really overlooked (except by cows and hares) and the hot tub was wonderful. The lodge was in a very convenient location for the major Roman sites as well as the Roman wall. We also had a day up at Keilder Water (the birds of prey centre was excellent) and Haltwhistle outdoor pool.We all had a great time in this lovely, comfortable lodge. We would definitely return as the staff and owners were extremely helpful, the site and its setting are beautiful and there is so much to do and see in the area.
Jennifer - Nov 2023

A lovely lodge in a beautiful setting
LordL - Oct 2023
A very spacious lodge with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The hot tub was a luxury and the new pool, sauna and steam room added to our stay. There's also a gym if you like to workout.
Pauline - Sep 2023
We had a lovely week in the Juniper Deluxe Lodge. It is spacious, well equipped and comfortable. The hot tub is great and the deck has a beautiful view across the field's. The park is quiet, well maintained and all staff were friendly and polite. We will recommend to friends and would definitely return for another stay
Matthew - Jul 2023
The Lodge was spacious and had a separate utility room which was handy. There was a nice view from the Lodge's decking over a field and with plenty of wildlife.
Richard - Jun 2023
We loved the park and Whistler. The lodge was well equipped with lots of extras which made our stay enjoyable. The park was quiet and the team was really keen to make our stay enjoyable. We highly recommend both.
Julie - Jun 2023
abulous site, really comfortable. Hot tub cleaned daily. Staff very welcome and prompt replies with any queries. Definitely would recommend
Julieanne - Aug 2022
ticked all the boxes for us. Lovely field view from our balcony, enjoyed the wild life, glorious sunsets, hot tub. happy to stay here, relaxing, quiet. but if want bit more then, 5/10 mins from Hexham town centre, shops, takeaways etc. 10 mins from A66, 30-45 mins into Newcastle and other places on Northeast coast. Accommodation was clean, almost new, light and airy. bed comfortable, 2 bathrooms meant no waiting .. . . . . . . . . .
Jonathan - Jul 2022
Lovely area to explore very enjoyable holiday.

HOWARD - May 2022

Angela - May 2022
Lovely spot. Very quiet with fab views across the countryside.
The lodge was very comfortable and well equipped. The hot tub was great.
The area was perfect for exploring Northumberland being in easy reach of Hexham, Newcastle and Hadrians Wall, as well as being close enough to drive up the coast.
Gillian - Aug 2020
Fantastic lodge for a well deserved break. Very Well equipped and the very surprising addition of a lovely welcome pack and also robes for when you are out of the hot tub. Only let down which is very minor is the need for hooks to hang the robes when not in use.
Yvonne - Jul 2020
Fantastic stay at heathergate country park in the Portland lodge, hot tub at night looking up at the stars was so relaxing, definitely be back again,
David - Mar 2020
Amazing would definitely come back
Kim - Jan 2020
Other than a 25 minute wait to check in despite calling both numbers on reception door a number of times, our stay was amazing. The lodge was beautiful and had everything you would need for any length of time staying. We didnt want to leave. Hot tub was serviced daily which was great.
Elaine - Jan 2020

Zoe - Oct 2019
Great place to holiday if you want a relaxing peaceful break.
The cabin is great, very well equipped. I could have transported the kitchen home.
On a clear night it has fantastic view of the stars.
Hexham is a lovely place. Lots of good food pubs in nearby villages.
If we were going back to that area we would definitely book there again.

Attractions Near Heathergate Boutique Holiday Park

Here are some of the activities and experiences you can enjoy on your visit to Heathergate Boutique Holiday Park. If you discover a worthy inclusion to this list on your hot tub break, please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too.
Go Ape Northumberland - NE48 1NT
about 9 Miles
Go Ape! has really taken off and become one of the most popular attractions in the UK.  The Northumberland course is set in the stunning grounds of Matfin Hall.  Described as a high wire forest adventure this really is one for the more daring as the course takes place right up in the tree tops.  Giant tree top obstacle courses include ladders, bridges, tunnels and some of the country's best zip lines.  You will be provided with all safety equipment and training on site.
Kielder Water Bird of Prey Centre - NE48 1BT
about 20 Miles
Housing the most fascinating collection of Birds of Prey in the North East this centre is definitely worth a visit if you are staying in the Kielder Water area. Located in Falstone it's easy to get to and makes a great day out for both families and couples.  As well as seeing the amazing birds you can learn all about the captive breeding programme and the excellent work being done there.  Some of the highlights of the day might include watching a Falcon stoop down from the skies at over 100mph and admiring the grace of the Eagles, Kites and Hawks.
Cragside House and Gardens - NE65 7PX
about 26 Miles
Cragside House and Gardens (National Trust) are a popular Northumberland attraction with a beautiful stately home and gorgeous grounds to explore. The rhododendron labyrinth is a unique and fun addition to the grounds and there is also an adventure playground where children can let of steam. It is the stunning scenery that attracts most of the visitors though with many bringing a picnic for a relaxing family day out. The house itself hosts exhibits which change regularly. World of the Water Wizard is currently on display.
Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery - CA3 8TP
about 31 Miles
This is a museum and art gallery in one and will suit those looking for an educational and cultural day out.  You can explore the fantastic art collection including Fine Art, Decorative Art and Textiles.  If you love nature then this aspect of Tullie House will appeal. The museum holds large and important collections of zoological, botanical and geological material. And for lovers of history there is plenty to wet your appetite here. Tullie House collects a wide range of historic materials including objects, ephemera (printed material), photographs and associated information files.  We think this museum and art gallery are excellent value for money as well.
Alnwick Castle and Gardens - NE66 1NQ
about 35 Miles
Alnwick Castle and Gardens today are perhaps best known for their roles as Hogwarts in Harry Potter movies but have for many years been a family favourite attraction in Northumberland. The beautiful medieval castle is open to the public and during school holidays and at Christmas and Halloween a range of activities can be enjoyed including Santa's Workshop, a Pumpkin Parade, Spell Making Lessons and Owl and Bird of Prey Flying.
