Great Harlow Views Reviews

"Great holiday location"
Christine - Apr 2024
"Greatstay, all facilities in Goodworth g order. Great view and lots of local walks to do."
Steven - Apr 2024
"We stayed in the Great Harlow View Spa, beautiful and spacious accommodation with all the facilities you need for a short break. Tony greeted us on arrival and gave us plenty of information about the lodge itself and the local area. The park is situation close to the railway station and ideally situation in the Dales and surrounding places of interest. I would highly recommend staying here for a nice, relaxing break."
Wayne - Mar 2024
"Great place and location. I have rated based on value for money as it is not perfect, however you do get what you pay for. This is not a 5* luxury lodge, however is decent for the reasonable price. Amazing views, site manager very friendly and helpful. Downsides are that there could be better kitchen facilities, felt these were lackinghowever not the end of the world. A few cobwebs about so a bit of attention to detail would make it better (however I am not one to complain, just something to point out and manage other peoples expectations). Take your own dishwasher tablets if you want to use the dishwasher.Lovely walk up to the Ingleborogh cave100% recommend doing that. Very good chinese in Settle too!Overall, good trip, just dont expect ultimate luxury."
Kiki - Mar 2024
"hot tub only big enough for two. clean and plenty of space"
Leah - Mar 2024
"The property was really good value for money with an easy booking process."
Nick - Feb 2024
"I recently stayed at the Great Harlow Views lodge, I booked the Luxury cabin for a weekend away and all I can say is that Im disappointed with the quality of the cabin, nothing about the cabin I stayed in screamed luxury. For example, they do not provide towels however provide a shower and a hot tub, this makes no logical sense to me and it is the first cabin I have been to that have not supplied towels. Another example would be that the cabin has an oven for you to use as much as you want however no oven glove was provided now how am I going to get a boiling hot oven tray out the oven without an oven glove? And lastly the general condition of the log cabin was not the best and the cabin could do with a refurbish and touch ups again, this does not scream luxuryOn a positive note the area was amazing with top class views and a friendly town with great pubs for food and drinks, unfortunately this was the only thing that made my stay slightly better because I must say I was extremely disappointed with the misleading description of the cabin luxury, this review is to inform people looking for a luxury trip away this is not the place for it I will not be returning again."

"Absolutely amazing. Tony greeted us as we arrived and what a lovely person he was. He gave us loads of information about the surrounding areas and gave us pointers what we could do while we were there. The lodge we stayed in was absolutely fabulous! No negative comments about this place at all. Definitely will come back :)"

"Amazing! Only thing I could say is we had no blind over the kitchen window. And with everything being open plan we had no privacy at bed time and we was up at the crack of dawn with the light shining through. But other than that absolutely amazing. Would definitely stay again and recommend"
Natasha - Aug 2020
"Beautiful, clean, relaxing stay, very small lodge but for two of us it was perfect, we really enjoyed the hottub and local views."
Kerry - Aug 2020
"Fantastic few days away "
Samantha - Aug 2020
"Overall a good location and good place to stay. Some confusion when we arrived as the lodge we were meant to be staying in was already occupied. On our third day, we were questioned by other occupants as they were meant to be staying in the lodge we were placed in instead. Would suggest an indoor table for eating as it rained a couple days and we were forced to eat on the sofa bed provided. Our TV also did not work, but we were not fussed as we werent using it anyway. Staff are not easily contactable on site, but understandable considering all COVID related precautions."
Callum - Aug 2020
"Cabin need clothes storage"
Susan - Jan 1970
"Fantastic, we enjoyed every thing about our break and the hot to made it extra special to relax and rewind after touring countryside"
Alison - Jan 1970
"Could do with a table inside to eat when its cold"
Bethany - Jan 1970
"The cabin was brand new and was lovely! The beds were comfy and is fully equipped with oven, microwave etc. However, I few things missing such as nowhere to hang coats/clothes which would be useful especially after a wet walk."

Jane - Jan 1970
"Accepted that some things couldn't be provided due to covid but could have done with another towel each so we didn't have to use the same one for showering and drying after being in the hot tub. Everything else was great."
Victoria - Jan 1970
"Had a lovely time and the cabin and hot tub were brilliant with excellent views over to Ingleborough. The site was very clean and Tony was very helpful and informative , the site warden. Kerry also was very flexible with my check in request and sent me all the information prior to our check in. Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again hopefully very soon"

"We had a lovely four days here with our little 2 year old and puppy. You will need a car. however, you are in a quiet location with beautiful views with Clapham and Settle nearby. The staff were very friendly, helpful with recommendations and even moved us to a lodge with better views and position. I would recommend."
Elizabeth - Jul 2022

Bowland Wild Boar Park - PR3 2QT

Head for the Bowland Wild Boar park and we don't think you will be disappointed.  A popular attraction in Preston there is so much to do for the whole family.  From picnics, walks and wildlife to experiencing feeding the animals you are sure to have a memorable day out.  Also popular is the kids tractor play area.  For rest and relaxation the cafe is ideal serving hot drinks and snacks with a lovely view over the pond and wildlife feeding station.  The Forest of Bowland has been declared an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Lakeland Wildlife Oasis - LA6 1JH
about 15 Miles
Located in the Milnthorpe area of Cumbria we love this local attraction.  With an eclectic mix of fascinating wildlife and hands on displays this centre is educational as well as fun.  You can wander around at leisure admiring the exhibits which range from chameleons to computers. Some of the most threatened species are kept at the park as part if international breeding programmes.  Check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs which are great value for money.  There are discounts for pre-booked parties of 12 or more.
Happy Mount Park - LA4 5AQ
about 18 Miles
Happy Mount Park has attractions for the whole family including several play areas, a miniature railway, crazy golf, putting green and trampolines, there is also a paddling pool where the little ones can splash around in the summer and a café where the adults can relax with a drink. During the summer months and especially during school holidays live music can often be enjoyed.
South Lakes Safari Zoo - LA12 0LU
about 31 Miles

This is an amazing Cumbria attraction well known locally as well as nationally for how close you can get to the animals.  Described as the most interactive animal park in Europe it's well worth a visit if you are staying in the area.  Open from April to end October some of the highlights are the tigers, penguins, bears, hippos and rhinos.  At 2pm during certain seasons it's feeding time so don't forget to plan your day around this so you can watch the animals enjoying their feed.  Look out for seasonal events such as Halloween Zoo Boo (free entry for kids in fancy dress) and The Magic of Christmas.

Fountains Abbey - HG4 3DY
about 33 Miles
This is an outstanding world heritage site located close to Ripon in the North Yorkshire area. Nature lovers will be in their element with an abundance of wide open spaces to explore and there are special guided tours for families.  Some of the highlights may include seeing wild deer and bats during your visit.  The grounds are fantastic to wander round but there is also an Elizabethan Mansion, Victorian Church, Georgian Water Garden and the finest example of Cistercian Abbey ruins in the country - Well worth a visit!
Rydal Mount & Gardens - LA22 9LU
about 33 Miles
Rydal Mount & Gardens are wonderfully situated between Lake Windermere and Rydal Water offering breathtaking scenery. The home of William Wordsworth from 1813 - 1850 the grand home is now lived in by the poets descendents but parts of the house and grounds are open to the public. Why not take a guided tour and see the rooms where many of the famous poems were written. The gardens are beautiful at all times of the year but in the summer offer a spectacular display of colour. There is also a gallery and a tearoom. Discounts are available for group bookings.
Lightwater Valley - HG4 3HT
about 34 Miles
Situated in the Ripon area of North Yorkshire this popular theme park makes a fantastic day out for the whole family.  The more daring will love the big and thrilling rides such as Raptor Attack, The Ultimate and Trauma Tower.  For the little ones there are some excellent attractions such as Flying Camels, Dodgems and a Magic Wheel.  Toddlers will like the Dragon Boats and the Lightwater Express amongst other things. There are over 40 rides and attractions in total and we think this is excellent value for money too.  If you book your tickets in advance online you can save even more money and beat the queues.
Big Sheep - EX39 5AP
about 35 Miles
This is a recommended day out for families with young children visiting the Bedale area of Yorkshire.  Visit the farm and receive a warm welcome as well as a guided tour.  You will have the chance to bottle feed the lambs, bath a pig and handle some of the smaller animals.  Kids will love the big sandpit and the outdoor play area. There is also a cafe and indoor play area for when the weather is not on your side.
Ullswater Steamers - CA11 0US
about 37 Miles
This is an award winning Lake District attraction and they have been operating cruisers on Lake Ullswater for over 150 years.  There is no better way to explore the lakes than on water and you could even combine a cruise with a spectacular walk.  For great days out in this region then this attraction is highly recommended and will appeal to couples as well as families.  Corporate groups are also well catered for.
