"The owners were genuinely lovely and went out of their way when the storm knocked out the power. The place was spotless and cosy, plus our dog loved the secure garden and the hot tub was a real treat!"

"We had such a lovely stay! The owners are genuinely warm and thoughtful, making everything feel so welcoming. The cottage itself is adorable, with that charming half-timbered look and the shower was surprisingly powerful-perfect after a long walk. Speaking of walks, the fields around are perfect for exploring and its a quick trip to Thaxted with its beautiful timbered houses and windmill. The parking right next to the cottage was a real bonus too. Spotlessly clean, well heated and super cosy overall."

"Rob and Sharon really put a lot of effort into transforming this old building with care and theyre genuinely lovely hosts-plus Bonnies a sweetheart! The place has a cosy, welcoming vibe, perfect for relaxing. Its situated in a lovely bit of Essex, so wed definitely recommend exploring Thaxted and the nearby villages; theres so much history and charming architecture to enjoy. We felt right at home and will be coming back for sure!"

"We had such a lovely stay in this peaceful spot, tucked away in a really private bit of the countryside. The owners were super friendly and always ready to help if we needed anything, but they kept a respectful distance which we appreciated. The hot tub was a real treat after long cycling days! One thing to note, the cottage is just under Stansteds flight path, so there's quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us much once we got used to it, but it might be a problem if you're sensitive to noise. All in all, a great place to relax!"

The owners were super friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything, but it still felt tucked away from everything. The hot tub was a real highlight after a long cycle day! One thing to note, the cottage is right under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of noise from the planes. It didnt bother us too much after a while, but its worth mentioning if you're sensitive to sound. Overall, wed definitely come back!"

"We stayed in a rustic VIP pod for a long weekend. The pod itself was nice - there is a lovely little kitchen area, a cute little bathroom, a comfy double bed but very uncomfy sofa bed. The hot tub was ok - we knew before going that it was a log burning one, but didnt realise how difficult it would be to reach and control a nice temperature. It got upto 45 degrees which was way to hot for my husband and daughter (I managed to last until 38 degrees) It would have been lovely to have temperature control.The pod doesnt really need the little table and chairs as it takes up room in the pod, as there is one on the decking outside that could be brought in if you needed one. For us it was just a waste of valuable space that we could have used for our luggage.All of the staff were lovely, friendly & helpful. The pool and arcade areas are small, but theres enough to do around the area to keep you occupied."

The hot tub was a real treat and the underfloor heating kept everything super comfy. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie made us feel right at home. Cant wait to return for a longer stay!"

"We had such a great weekend here, it really ticked all the boxes for us. The garden was perfect for the dogs and they had a blast with the underfloor heating-Luna even wagged her tail so much she strained it! Honestly, everyone was happy, pups included. Were already planning to return soon. Cant recommend it enough!"

"We had a fantastic stay at this charming cottage tucked away on a working farm, yet it felt surprisingly private. Robert and Sharon are such lovely hosts, making us feel really welcomed. The place is super spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed that we didnt want to leave! The garden is perfect for dogs-completely secluded and furnished nicely. Plenty of scenic walks nearby and Thaxteds eateries like The Star and The Maypole are worth a visit. Definitely recommend!"

"We had a fantastic stay! The house was really cosy and well kitted out, perfect for chilly December days. The bath was great and the shower was a lovely bonus. Even though its near a flight path, it didnt bother us at all - honestly, you barely notice. Ideal spot for dog owners, especially if fireworks scare them. Beautifully converted, really peaceful.
