"Could fault the lodge maybe a welcome pack with more information. Just the company who runs the site could handle things better"

"Ive recently returned from a midweek break here for just myself and my 2 Pomeranians, and 100% will be returning in the future! ????On arrival I checked in at Reception and was given the loveliest, warmest greeting by Elle. She was super professional, very down to earth and explained everything thoroughly in relation to checking in & out and the resort in general. She also gifted me two Dog Welcome Pack boxes which were beautifully presented and were completely unexpected - a really lovely touch to our stay! She gave me a quick guided tour of The Clubhouse (Restaurant & Bar) and the veranda which overlooks the Golf Course & the Tennis Courts. *The Clubhouse and the Resort in general are Dog Friendly, however dogs are understandably not allowed on the Golf Course or the Tennis Courts*. Elle then kindly assisted me back to my car so I could then head over to the lodge. We stayed in Lakes View 15 which is a 2 Bed Lux Garden Lodge Pet Friendly Hot Tub. The lodge was brand new and cleaned to a very high standard. Cleanliness is something which is generally overlooked in Pet Friendly accommodations but not here - everywhere was immaculate! The Lounge area featured a smart tv, an Echo Dot (Alexa) and the lodge had free Wi-Fi. The Kitchen area featured a full size fridge with a separate 3 drawer freezer (fantastic for my 2 dogs who are fed a raw diet), a full size dishwasher AND a washing machine! There were small touches which I really appreciated - a Tea Towel, 1 Dishwasher Tablet & the Bin had a bin liner already installed. This lodge also featured a twin room, a separate shower/toilet room and the Master Bedroom had an en-suite complete with a full size Bath! More small touches - both the separate shower/toilet room and en-suite had 1 toilet roll & the bins had bags already installed. The Master Bedroom featured a desk with light up vanity mirror, had a hotel style hairdryer left in the wardrobe drawer but one downside - there were no coat hangers, which in the grand scheme of things is very minor and only a small criticism of what was overall a fantastic lodge! Bed linen was provided (made up on arrival) as were towels and bath mats. The garden area was quite substantial in size. It had both grass & patio terrain, featured a picnic style table with 2 benches, as well as 4 bar stools alongside a Pergoda complete with Hot Tub. A lovely gentleman from the Park Maintenance Team visited every morning to carry out mandatory daily checks on the hot tub - he discreetly lets himself into the garden via the gate, so dont block the gate closed with a bar stool like I did ???? (There was a fault with the patio door lock barrel. I logged this with reception but they were already aware and were awaiting Willerby to sort under warranty, so as an extra security measure I put a bar stool behind the gate to stop anybody from potentially walking in).The resort in general was so peaceful and relaxing - the only noises heard was the occasional vehicle passing on the road, most of which were farm vehicles. I would absolutely recommend this resort to anyone, whether you have dogs or not. Ive been praising this resort since visiting but advised friends/family not to book it too much so that theres enough availability for me to go back at some point ????"

"Lodge needed cleaning outside and decking a good sweep. Made use of old pallett as gate for pet security on deck area, believe full gate made to fit should be fitted espwcially for (dog friendly den) holiday.Kitchen utensils and equipment very sparse.Plastic glasses for adults not pleasant.Over all,a friendly park, with fab bar/restaurant and good facilities."

"We stayed in lodge 17 which was perfect for us and the dog as the garden was enclosed with a hot tub and seating area. The lodge was immaculate, and new, with new lodges being delivered whilst we were there, staff were friendly and also gave us a doggy welcome pack. Shops and takeaways are local and there is a pub/restaurant, golf, tennis on site and a driving range over the road. Good site for walking the dog around too and very quiet, would definitely recommend for a relaxing break"

"We had such a great weekend at this place! Everything we hoped for and more. The underfloor heating was a hit with our dogs, especially Luna, who was wagging her tail non-stop. The garden was perfect for them to run around. Were already planning to come back soon - cant wait! Definitely a lovely spot for a break."

"We had an absolutely lovely stay here! The location is stunning and really private, which we loved. The owners are super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed without intruding. After a long day cycling, the hot tub was just what we needed - total relaxation! The only thing to note is that the cottage is right under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of noise from planes. It took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but it didnt ruin our break at all. Great place overall!"

"We recently stayed at the lodge during the off-season and honestly, it was a pretty good deal. The place was massive, which was a big plus for us and the hot tub was a lovely touch after a day out. The beds were already made up and towels were provided, so we didnt have to worry about bringing too much. Theres an Asda and a few pubs and shops just a short drive away, handy for supplies and some evening drinks. On the downside, the dishwasher seemed a bit overloaded and didnt wash the pots properly, which was a pain, especially since we had to wash some ourselves before using them. Also, there was a strange, foisty smell, probably from the carpet being washed and not quite drying yet. When returning the key, we had to wait a bit because the young guy was busy on his mobile, which felt a tad rude. Still, overall, not bad for the price!"

"We recently stayed in a cosy one-bedroom lodge that welcomed our dogs and honestly, it was a pretty great experience. The place was spotless and the decor felt modern yet comfy. The super king bed was a real treat after long days exploring. We really appreciated the good WiFi, which kept us connected. The lovely touch of welcome packs for our dogs made us feel so cared for! We often hung out at the Clubhouse, where all the staff were genuinely friendly and happy to help with anything. The food was fantastic - we tried the cooked breakfast, a roast dinner and an evening meal, all fresh and tasty, totally recommend! If I had to suggest a couple of improvements, adding oven gloves and a tea towel in the lodge would be handy. Also, some basic essentials like soap and washing up liquid would be helpful. With two dogs, a broom and a gate on the decking to keep them safe would have been great. Overall, we had an awesome time and wed definitely come back - lovely people and a lovely place!"

"We stayed at this lovely cottage nestled on a working farm and honestly, it felt like a peaceful retreat. The owners, Sharon and Robert, are such charming people, making us feel right at home. The place is surprisingly spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed that we didnt want to leave! The gardens really private and dog-proof, perfect for relaxing. There are loads of walks nearby and Thaxted has some cracking restaurants like The Star and The Maypole. Wed definitely recommend it!"

"We just got back from a great four-night stay at this cottage. The owners were really friendly and helpful but never intrusive, which was perfect. The big fenced garden was ideal for our dog to run around freely. The cottage had everything we needed, including a fully equipped kitchen and a lovely hot tub-such a treat! We even enjoyed a BBQ one evening. Definitely planning to come back and already told friends about it. Thanks for a lovely break!"

"We had such a cosy stay! The house was packed with everything we needed and kept us warm during a rainy December day. The bath was a real treat and the shower was perfect for quick freshen ups. The location is ideal if your dogs arent fans of fireworks - so peaceful out in the middle of nowhere. The house is beautifully converted and really well equipped. Thanks a lot!"

"We had a lovely stay at this cosy cottage. Perfect for some peace and quiet, though the planes from Stanstead can be a bit loud at night. The hot tub was fantastic! Definitely recommend."

The place itself is huge, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed that we didnt want to leave! The garden is perfect for dogs, completely secluded and with nice furniture for relaxing outside. There are plenty of walks nearby and Thaxteds restaurants, like The Star and The Maypole, are worth a visit. Wed definitely recommend it!"
