"Our Riverside Cabins review: We had such a lovely stay at this place, nestled in a really peaceful, private spot. The owners were super friendly and always on hand if we needed anything, but it still felt secluded. The hot tub was a real highlight after a long day of cycling! Just a heads up, though - the cottage sits right under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of noise from planes. It took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but honestly, it didnt ruin our holiday at all. Would definitely recommend!"

The hot tub was a real highlight after a long day cycling around. Only thing to note is that the cottage is directly under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of noise from planes. It didnt bother us much once we got used to it, but its worth mentioning if noise affects you. Overall, a great spot!"

We loved the walks right outside the door and meeting the animals was a real highlight-especially Penelope the curious pig! The host was really friendly and quick to respond. The big comfy bed was a real highlight after a day of exploring. Sitting outside at the table with a hot drink, birdwatching and spotting squirrels and ducks was lovely. The hot tub was a real treat! The staff struck just the right balance-friendly and professional, giving us privacy but always on hand if needed. We cant wait to come back!"

The owners were genuinely warm and super helpful, making us feel at home. The bed was so comfy and we loved relaxing in the hot tub, which was spotless and checked daily-something we really appreciated after some dodgy places we've stayed. Were already planning our return and will be telling our friends about it!"

The place itself is spacious and well-equipped - the kitchen and bathroom facilities are spot-on. The bed was super comfy and the garden, dog-proof and secluded, was perfect for relaxing outside. There are plenty of walks nearby and Thaxted has some cracking restaurants like The Star and The Maypole. Honestly, wed totally recommend it!"

"The house was fantastic - really well kitted out and super cosy, which was perfect for a rainy December day. The bath was just lovely and the shower was nice and big. Being on a flight path didnt bother us at all, so dont worry about that! Its in a perfect spot for dogs that hate fireworks since its so remote. Such a beautiful place, loved it. Thanks a lot!"
