Thurston Manor Reviews

"Great caravan, shower was amazing! Would be better if there were fitted sheets in the bedroom but appreciate that the beds are not a standard size. Had everything we needed.."
Vicky - Aug 2025
"The lodge was massive, very clean and well looked after"
Barry - Aug 2025
"Very nice caravan... All we need we had..."
Carlos - Aug 2025
"A cute, clean caravan. Quite small in the rooms but made it cosy. Some items in the kitchen needed a good, good scrub."
Elizabeth - Aug 2025
"Our Thurston Manor review: The lodge was boiling , you could not turn the raidiators off , there was a hole in one of the room walls (look like it had been punched) it was very dusty and did not look clean, windows were drippy fall of cobwebs and dirt"
Sabrina - Jul 2025
"A well spacious and presentable caravan. Clean and tidy throughout with the added bonus of a little welcome pack"
Leon - Jun 2025
"The duvets on the bed were not big enough and due to this reason it became cold on an evening. The location of the boiler was not ideal and was very noisy during the night and distrub the sleep of our young child so therefore we had to switch this off after the first night. The options of blinds inthe bedrooms would also be an great added touch as the curtains were very thin and let alot of light in"
Lyndsey - May 2025
"Beautiful location and fantastic park, everything from check in to check out was perfect, will certainly be back!"
Verified Guest - Apr 2025
"Spacious & very clean lodge. All the mod cons. Nice decking to sit out in. Decking furniture needed a clean."
Liz - Apr 2025
"We had a great holiday for Easter break at Thurston Manor. Our caravan was clean and had everything we needed, the wifi in the van worked great. The only thing which would have been nice to have would have been a wee brush to keep the floor clean as a week stay with two children comes with some mess and no way to clean up. Also as the week went on the machines in the arcade kept breaking down and werent repaired during our stay. Would still return as pool is great, location is brilliant and the entertainment was fantastic. Staff were superb ????????"
Ruth - Apr 2025
"Unlike all my previous stays in similar places there is no Iron, clothesline or dishwasher. The soap and shampoo are just for one person and there were 6 of us and the caravan was for 6 adults."
Verified Guest - Apr 2025
"Bad tv reception not good signal for watching terestial tv"
Tony - Apr 2025
"We had a really lovely stay at this cosy little park. The caravan was spotless, with nice touches like towels, tea and coffee. The courtesy car was a real lifesaver since we were stuck at the bottom of a steep hill. Definitely recommend!"
Annabelle - Mar 2025
"We didnt end up using it, but the place looked spotless and lovely when we arrived. Sadly, our caravan was missing a bedroom TV, so they sorted us out with something else."
Emma Carter - Mar 2025
"I spent a week in the caravan and found it very comfortable, warm and cosy, well equipped with good quality kitchen and dining utensils. Lovely fluffy white towels, comfortable beds. Highly recommend."
Janet - Mar 2025
"We stayed in the caravan for a week and honestly, it felt like a home away from home. The beds were comfy, the towels were fluffy and it was warm and welcoming throughout. Highly recommend!"
Sarah T. - Mar 2025
"Lovely caravan, cosy and comfortable with everything we needed well equipped ????????"
Anne - Mar 2025
"Very enjoyable stay"
Chris - Feb 2025
"We had a fantastic stay at the park! Ivy was spotless, super comfy and cosy. Even in December, it stayed warm. The sports facilities are top-notch-definitely coming back! Highly recommend!"
John - Dec 2024
"Excellent caravan (Ivy), spotless, clean, comfortable, cosy, we visited in December but was warm all the time. Sports facilities are excellent at this park.Highly recommended, we will return x"
Peter - Dec 2024
"Very pleased, its perfect for our small family!"
Lucy Carter - Oct 2024
"Nice little place, perfect for a quick stay."
Harriet - Aug 2024
"Excellent caravan."
Lindsey - Aug 2024
"We found the place really comfy and well kitted out, with a separate fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Modern digital TVs and reliable Wi-Fi made it feel homey. The only downside was its a 6-person unit but seating for just 5 in the living area, which isn't ideal for six adults. Also, its a bit of a trek up a steep hill to the main facilities, but it didnt bother us much."
Alex - Jun 2024
"Good accommodation and very well equipped with separate fridge and freezer, dishwasher, washing machine etcModern digital TVs and wi fi in the unit.Only gripe would be its a 6 birth unit but only seating for 5 in living area so not great if 6 adults sharing.Unit is a distance from the main facilities up a steep hill so something to consider but wasnt an issue for us."
Tim - Jun 2024
"We had a lovely stay at Thruston Manor, the caravans were really nice and comfy. The pool was decent, but it was a shame that most of the other stuff like the jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and showers werent working. Still, wed definitely return!"
Sam Harper - Apr 2024
"We loved this caravan-so spacious, spotless and comfy. Everything we needed was there and the cleaners did a fantastic job, really appreciated it!"
Emily Carter - Mar 2024
"We found the caravan to be quite lovely, much nicer than we thought from the photos. Given the current restrictions, like the pool being off-limits, we do think the price could be a bit lower for now. Its a really beautiful spot, but some improvements could make it even better during peak times."
James - Jan 2024
"We had an amazing stay at this charming lodge! The furniture was lovely, it felt super cosy and everything we needed was available. We honestly felt like we were home!"
Layla - Jul 2023
"The holiday was fantastic and the house was cosy overall. Just a bit surprised to find some clothes left behind, which made us wonder about the cleaning standards, though. Still, we enjoyed it!"
Daniel - Aug 2020
"We stayed in Lakeside 59, a 3-bedroom lodge. The lodge was clean, spacious and sufficiently equipped for a holiday stay. A little sparse on cutlery but we could live with that. We had wifi but the connection wasn’t great. The few queries we had were dealt with swiftly by the staff, whom we found to be very friendly and helpful. As we’re the many semi-permanent residents we encountered in The Glen ?. The swimming pool was a big hit with our granddaughter, as we’re the organised activities for children. The shop is well-stocked. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will definitely consider going back."
Marijke - Jul 2022
"Excellent site amazing staff can’t wait to go back"
Kayley - Jun 2022
"Beautiful surroundings. We was down in the Glen in lodges. Beautiful location. Very clean. Not a blade of grass out of place. Wonderful stay. Lovely food in restaurant and a wonderful bar manager. Overall 10/10."
Joanne - Jun 2022
"Great little park , close to beaches. Play park and swimming pool great too for kids. Restaurant and bar good value for money too. Shop on site is very handy with everything you need. Very helpful friendly staff."
Jodie - Jun 2022
"Excellent weekend away at Thurston Manor. Brilliant facilities, staff, value for money. I recommend this place to everyone"
Agata - May 2022
"Brilliant caravan park, lovely views and caravan was excellent and spotless, best park we have been to and very clean, pool great, quieter park than others which we've been to and this was a bonus, will be back."
Carolyn - May 2022

Here are some of the activities and experiences you can enjoy on your visit to Thurston Manor. If you discover a worthy inclusion to this list on your hot tub break, please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too.
Conundrum Farm - EX5 3AQ
about 19 Miles
With easy access from the A1 this lovely farm just north of Berwick makes a fantastic family day out.  Follow the farm trail and meet an array of friendly farm animals.  Kids will also enjoy the indoor and outdoor play areas, pet barn and tractor circuit.  The admission fee is excellent value and you will get a free bag of food for the animals and a bag of fish food for the trouts in the fish pond. When you want a bite to eat, the licensed restaurant is the place to go with quality home cooking and a charming location in some of the converted farm buildings.
Smoo Cave - IV27 4QB
about 27 Miles
Smoo Cave is a popular attraction which can be enjoyed all year round but visitors should wrap up warm during the winter months.  This spectacular limestone sea-cave in Sutherland is the largest in Britain and is simply spectacular. The cave was formed by a burn that runs down into the rear chamber, as well as erosion caused by the sea. Guests can take the path from the car park which runs right through the cave. Boat trips are available in the summer months and are an excellent way to fully appreciate the cave from all angles.
Kailzie Gardens - EH45 9HT
about 34 Miles
Kailzie Gardens are another popular attraction and are an excellent place for a day out in the summertime. The gardens are a peaceful and colourful place to spend the day with a wide variety of flora and fauna on display. Other attractions here include live viewing of the Tweed Valley ospreys, a Gift Shop where children can pick up a souvenir, a Tearoom serving tasty local produce and home cooked meals, a Children's Corner, Putting Green, and a gorgeous private 2½ mile stretch on the River Tweed where visitors can enjoy Fly Fishing and a Picnic Area.
