"We really enjoyed our stay! The kitchen corner was a bit dark since theres only a row of spotlights down the centre, so we thought a bit of extra lighting might help, but honestly its no biggie. We also mentioned maybe adding some hooks in the hot tub area for hanging towels or robes and possibly a small shelf or st and to hold a tablet or speaker for watching or listening to music - just little tweaks. Overall, it was a fantastic weekend and were already thinking about coming back someday! Nothing major, just small suggestions for an even better stay. Cheers!"

"Would not return and had to leave early as the place was so freezing. Hot tub wasn't ready so couldn't use this even although we explained it was the reason for booking the getaway. They were expecting us to arrive and no staff were there. We had to go knock on a guests home to find out how we could get into our pod to be told it's open just go in. We had no phone or internet signal and with it being in the middle of nowhere you would think the staff or owners would be there to help guests. Shower was broke pod was so cold we had to leave early."

"We had a lovely week here from 15 to 22 July with our two mini dachshund girls, who had a great time making new friends in Thaxted. The cottage itself is very charming and the hot tub was definitely a highlight, especially during the hot weather - it was cooled down and quite refreshing. The hosts were genuinely welcoming, which made us feel at home. It was nice to see their dogs being taken out to the fields daily. And watching the planes land near Stansted was surprisingly relaxing. Wed definitely recommend it!"

After a long day of cycling, the hot tub was just what we needed-so relaxing! The only thing to note is that the cottage is quite close to Stansteds flight path, so there's quite a bit of aircraft noise. It took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but it didn't ruin our holiday at all. Would definitely recommend!"

"We recently stayed at this lovely lodge and honestly, it exceeded our expectations. The place was spotless and super comfy, making it a real home from home.
