With an enviable hillside setting and panoramic views over the Mull of Galloway to the Isle of Man and beyond, Whitecairn Holiday Park is the perfect holiday destination in South West Scotland.

The Highland 2 Spa Lodge sleeps up to 4 people and has two double bedrooms.  It's well equipped with washing machine and fridge/freezer. And the icing on the cake is the lovely outdoor hot tub.

The Highland 3 Spa Lodge is similar but with an extra bedroom with full size bunk beds and this lodge sleeps 6 in total.  A private outdoor hot tub comes with this lodge too!

Whitecairn Holiday Park is recommended for both couples and families looking to explore this exciting region and children will especially love the outdoor play area and the fact that you'll be located close to sandy beaches.  The local charming village is Glenluce is also on the doorstep.

As an added bonus the indoor pool at the sister holiday park not far away is available for use in the summer months (small fee may apply).

For those who like fishing there is a well stocked trout pond on the park and fishing is free to all guests on a catch and release basis.  Even if you've never tried fishing before the pond is designed to give even beginners a taste of the joy of fishing.  Holidays are a great time for trying new activities.

The surrounding areas are perfect for exploring so your holiday can be as active or as relaxing as you choose.  Holiday hotspots include the Cistercian Abbey of Glenluce which was founded way back in 1190 and the more active can walk the Pilgrim's Way to Whithorn.

We had a great holiday here and would definitely be back. It was good for a quiet and relaxing holiday which was exactly what we were looking for. Shout out to the park warden Adrian- he was a lovely man who kept an eye on us making sure our hot tub was topped up every morning and was always available to give us advice about the local area and offer any assistance.

The lodge was really good plus the hot tub! the only issue we had was the "wifi" which was advertised did not work at any time we were there. This wasn't a big issue for us but would be a deal breaker for some. You can connect but that is all.

Date of stay: 29th May 2016
Could not ask for more, caravan was immaculate, however that does not compensate when you are next to antisocial neighbours. If you suspect a problem deal with immediately, I did not and had my holiday ruined, e.g. loud foreign twentysomethings workers outside your bedroom windows till 3am one morning.
Tracey, Paisley
Date of stay: 17th April 2016
Lovely accomodation but does seem overpriced. Other accomodation of a similar standard at other sites was often cheaper, although granted this pitch was lovely and peaceful.
Andrea, Motherwell
Date of stay: 8th April 2016
We thought the lodge was excellent. It was really clean with comfortable furnishings. The hot tub was fabulous. Really big as there was only 3 of us staying. The pictures of the lodge don't do it justice as it's lovely and cosy inside. We would like to go back and would highly recommend if you are looking for a quite relaxing stay.
Elizabeth, Glasgow

Our fourth visit to this site. Enjoyed the peace and quiet. Unfortunately our first day was a wash out and were unable to leave the caravan but it was very comfortable and warm and were able to relax.

Date of stay: 4th July 2015
The lodge was homely, it felt comfortable and relaxing. All the small little touches were perfect for example they provide soap shower wash, washing up liquid, tea, coffee, sugar, utensils, towls. Basicly everything you need, iron and ironing board, washing machine, hover. It was perfect and so lovely.
Rob, Burley-in-wharfdale
Date of stay: 4th April 2015
The accommodation is great. Spacious, clean, cosy, great facilities and the hot tub really caps things off. Really impressed that there is no skimping, like there is with some lodges, on basics things like dishwasher tablets and toilet rolls. Would definitely stay again.
Sarah, Lancashire

Lodge was stunning. Very spoilt with a large hot tub. Everything you could need was in the lodge (except towels - take your own). We have stayed in other lodges but this was the best one by far.
David, Edinburgh
Date of stay: 30th August 2014
We stayed at the Whitecairn Holiday Park for one week in August. From start to finish the staff were most welcoming and accomodating and we were left to want for nothing. The caravan we stayed in was presented in an exemplary fashion and it was a joy to stay there 5 stars! The surrounding area of Luce Bay, the mull of Galloway and beyond is really stunning and we had a wonderful time. We had our dog with us and the park was well set out for exercising the pooch and free fishing at the trout pond too. I would highly recommend this site on the quality of service of the staff and the level of cleanliness and quality of furnishings. Haste ye back!

Excellent area with good views, caravan excellent, just lacks maybe a friendly pub, so you can relax and take in the pub atmosphere without having to drive to the local village.

Date of stay: 18th July 2014
We booked for a short stay we're very pleased with the site, very clean and pleasant, not crowded plenty of open spaces. Ideal for a quiet break, there are no kids clubs here just a small play area with climbing frames, it is a couple of miles to the sea beaches are rugged but very pleasant. Mull of Galloway a nice place to visit. would recommend for a quiet break.
Julie, Broxburn
Date of stay: 18th July 2014
The lodge was lovely. Finished to a high standard. We loved the hot tub! All the little extras made a huge difference. Things like kitchen roll, cling film, dishwasher tablets and cleaning products being supplied was a lovely touch.

Date of stay: 18th April 2014
Enjoyed staying here very much. Normally the caravans that allow dogs are very basic but here it was different. It had la lovely interior and was exceptionally clean. I noticed when the caravan next door was being cleaned, that it took them a fair amount of time but the result achieved was worth all their effort. Manager was friendly and helpful showing us some of the workings of the caravan-as soon as we arrived. Something that is usually missing from the other caravan holidays we are used too.
James, Glasgow

Our group stayed in a Highland 3 Spa Lodge for 3 nights at the start of November. The lodge was very clean and modern and was everything we were looking for. We especially liked the hot tub which the 5 of us could fit easily in.
Kerry
Whitecairn is a lovely holiday park to stay in. Our log cabin was brilliant and extremely clean! The value for money was excellent, our only problem was having to drive everywhere if we wanted anything as the site was closed. Apart from that problem our stay was brilliant.

Fun Days Out near All

about 21 Miles

An outdoor activity center suitable for families. Featuring one of Europe's longest zip wires, jeep driving, grass sledging, archery, outdoor scooters. A mix of fun and adreneline rides and a lot more.

about 33 Miles
We also recommend a visit to Castle Douglas and the Treasure Hunt Treasure Trails. These treasure hunts are great fun for the whole family and are an entertaining way to explore a new town or village. Children will enjoy solving the clues whilst learning about the history of the area. The walking trail is suitable for wheelchair users and those with pushchairs so no one is left out of the fun.
