Medmerry Park Reviews

"We had a fantastic time at Medmerry! The staff were genuinely friendly and always happy to help, which made us feel really welcome. The dog-friendly facilities, like the agility area, fields and the beach, were perfect for our pup. The dog wash was such a clever idea too. The accommodation was spotless, modern and well-equipped. Weve already booked again-cant wait to come back!"
Emma - Apr 2024
"We stayed here for my sisters birthday and honestly, it was a pretty great experience. The chalet was super clean and had a nice layout, though we did find the second bedroom lacked enough storage space. Also, a few cooking utensils were missing, but Im sure if wed asked at reception, theyd have sorted it quickly. The bar and restaurant were really lovely, with tasty food and drinks at good prices. The whole site was spotless and well maintained. Everyone we met was friendly, especially the staff and the dog-friendly vibe. The hot tub guy was really nice, checking the tub daily. We had a brilliant time and cant wait to come back!"
Ellie - Mar 2024
"Nice little place"
James - Mar 2024
"We found the stay quite reasonable for the season we visited. The dog-friendly amenities really tipped the scales for us when choosing this spot. We've been before and definitely plan to return again soon!"

"Our Medmerry Park review: We had a lovely, relaxing stay and are already thinking of returning. The chalet was spotless, beds comfy and the space decent. Just wish there was a bit more room for clothes! Definitely recommend."

"The lock issue was minor and the maintenance team sorted it out swiftly. The bed was so comfy, we didnt want to leave! Parkings a bit tight, but overall, a lovely stay."
Emma Carter - Nov 2023
"We had such a lovely stay! The beds were so much better than usual caravan ones-really comfy and spacious, with nice bed linen. The staff were super friendly. Even though we dont usually use the facilities, theres so much to do-dog agility, eco kids area, outdoor pool, its great!"
Emma - Nov 2023
"We had a fantastic weekend here and really enjoyed our stay. The place was just what we needed and well be returning for sure! Our dogs had a blast, especially with the underfloor heating and the garden was perfect for them to play in. Luna was wagging her tail so much she strained it, but alls well now. Happy pups, happy us!"
James - May 2025

"We stayed at this lovely cottage on a working farm and I must say, its surprisingly private despite the location. Robert and Sharon are such lovely hosts; they really make you feel welcome. The place itself is huge, with well-equipped kitchen and bathroom and the beds super comfy. The garden is perfect for dogs-completely secluded and nicely furnished. Plenty of scenic walks around too. Thaxted has some great places to eat, like The Star and The Maypole, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommend!"
James - May 2025
"We had a wonderful time staying here! Sharon and Robert really went out of their way to make us feel at home, which was lovely. The place was spotless, comfy and perfect for our dog Archie - we felt totally secure. The location was spot on, with loads of great walks and the charming villages around Thaxted. Honestly, it was just what we needed to unwind and recharge. Wed definitely come back!"
Emma Carter - May 2025
"We recently stayed here for a week in July with our two mini daschunds and honestly, it was a lovely break. The cottage itself feels really cosy and we loved the hot tub - especially since it was boiling outside, so cooling down in the water was just perfect. The hosts were super friendly and made us feel really welcome. Watching the planes land near Stansted added a bit of entertainment too. The village of Thaxted is charming and our pups made loads of new friends. Definitely would recommend if you're after a relaxed getaway!"

"We spent a week here in July with our two little dachshunds and honestly, it was such a lovely stay. The village of Thaxted is charming and our dogs loved making new friends around the area. The cottage itself is really nice - the hot tub was a real highlight, especially during the scorching days when the water was cool enough to be super refreshing.
