Just a great time
Tracey, Mansfield
Date of stay: 29th June 2018
Beautiful lodge(sunset deck) which certainly lived up to its name. Lots of extras which made the break extra special, even a dishwasher & washing machine. The kitchen cupboards were packed with everything that you would need. The only downside was the balustrade surrounding the decking was very loose in places. It wasn't a problem to us but worried if a small child leant against it there could be an accident
Samantha, Bridport Dorset
Date of stay: 29th June 2018
We had a fabulous stay and booked to go again before we left
The park is situated perfectly so you can reach local sites easily by car and has a bus stop outside if you care for adventure
The lead receptionist Jenny took the time needed with the eldest member of our party and nothing was too much trouble
We cant wait for next year so much more to explore
Jackie, Cardiff

Date of stay: 2nd June 2018
Croyde 3 was a lovely lodge. One thing that would have improved our stay was hooks on back of bedroom/bathroom doors. We had lovely big bath towels provided but no where to hang them other than over the bedroom doors then we couldn't close them at night

Lodge is spacious and comfortable and the heating is definitely efficient. Plenty of towels and good facilities in the kitchen. Some issues whilst we were there with several bulbs blown on our arrival and the dishwasher not working, but the staff were quick to resolve / work around. Hot tub is fantastic, but you cannot place the cover where the staff want it, on your own.

Really enjoyed our stay here it was lovely and ideally located for Woolacombe. The lodge had everything you needed and was very clean and it was a pleasure to spend time in it. On the site there was a place to take our dog for a walk which was ideal. There is also a pub at the entrance which is dog friendly so handy if you don't want to drive. Would definitely return here.
Shirley, Stoke On Trent

Date of stay: 31st October 2015
The lodge was larger than expected, with great facilities. Not brand new, so unsurprising to find a few minor defects (towel holder broken from wall, one light not working), though in no way affected enjoyment of the lodge. Do wish there'd be some appropriate place to put dirty boots when getting home in the evening, even with sheets of newspaper the carpet/rug got a bit of a battering. Spa was lovely and well maintained (cover was a bit knackered, and heavy to lift, but not an issue for us really, though some might find it too heavy to move). Overall, lodge was really comfortable and lovely, beginning to show it wants some tlc in places!
Jane, Worcester
Date of stay: 30th October 2015
Excellent lodge, we paid extra for a country view which was definitely worth it. Some road noise but that didn't matter as we did not sit outside. Lovely surrondings and very near both Ilfracombe and Woolacombe but you need a car
Emma, Tamworth
Date of stay: 5th October 2015

Val, Wellington
Date of stay: 25th September 2015
The lodge was home from home. Our only criticism is that on wet days or evenings, we settled down to watch the television but could only receive BBC Wales channels. The reception is almost zero. Otherwise everything is provided including irons and hairdryers. No need to take anything electrical.
Hannah, Ross On Wye
Date of stay: 21st September 2015

Our lodge was fantastic. It had everything we needed. We were surprised by how big & spacious it was. We loved the open plan living & the second bathroom was great with two children!
The outdoor area & decking was lovely. We went for a lodge with a hot tub & weren't disappointed. It was a nice bit of luxury! We also had an amazing sea view which we weren't expecting. Fab, fab, fab!!! : )
Palak, Birmingham/oxford
Date of stay: 6th April 2015
Fantastic place to vacation. Only problem was that the help desk was not open when we arrived - but the staff (very friendly) had left directions in the window to our lodge.

The place is very close to the beach, Tesco, a very nice pub, and has a cafe on sight.

We will definitely visit again - provided we get the lodge with a hot tub again!

Sian, Reading, Berkshire
Date of stay: 23rd February 2015
The only reason I couldn't give 10 out of 10 for value for money is because I was a little disappointed that the lodge lacked any basic items. When we arrived there was no handwash, no washing up liquid or dishwasher tablets, no washing up brush, no soap. Whilst I don't expect the lodge to be fully kitted out it would have been useful to know that there was no handwash or washing up liquid as we arrived late, after the shop was shut, and had to pile our dinner plates in the sink overnight.
However, I could not fault the cleanliness or comfort of the lodge, it was absolutely fantastic. One bit of feedback would be that the upholstery on the chairs for the dining table is starting to come apart/flake off but this can be easily fixed and didn't bother us.

The hot tub was regularly checked (even in a hail storm!) and I didn't find one spider lurking in the lodge- thank goodness! Really excellent lodge :)
Nicola, Wiltshire
Date of stay: 20th February 2015
The only downside was some trouble with the hot water, the problem was quickly resolved everywhere except the lovely spa bath so couldn't use it sadly, otherwise very impressed for the cost.

only down was no hooks on doors to hang towels in the bathrooms nor coats in the hallway, however we have come to expect this from all accommodation we hire, they none of them seem to cater for this.

Date of stay: 19th July 2014
Lodge generally as described, kitchen well equipped but lacking some basic utensils, e.g. scissors and cooking tongs. Crockery, glasses and cutlery, only the bare minimum for 4 people.
Biggest disappointment was that the 'superb views' we were expecting were not available from our lodge (AC6) due to the height and depth of the hedge immediately adjacent to the property.

Date of stay: 30th May 2014
Unfortunately we arrived to a very strong smell of bleach in our lodge, at first we thought it was coming from the fridge however as the days went on it became apparent that the smell of bleach was something used to mask the smell of sick on two of the leather chairs at the dining table, we had to keep moving the chairs outside to rid the smell leaving two less chairs for us to use. I reported this to reception on departure only to be told that they do not use bleach. Both myself and my sister could smell the bleach and our parents who were staying in a lodge the other side of the park could smell it so to be told it could not be bleach was a blow. I am not sure if it was maybe something to do with a 21st birthday party of people in prior to us as I found '21st birthday' confetti in the cupboard in the bedroom so clearly that had not be cleaned either. Such a shame as this was really the only thing that let the holiday down.

Considern it was a mini lodge it was very spacious . 2 bathrooms . And very clean. The carpet in sitting area could do with renewing for darker colour as there was some stains .maybe due to bad weather they had .we made full use of the kitchen cooking most nights.. we had a great time and scenery is magic.

Date of stay: 14th March 2014
We stayed in a VIP lodge beautifully located on the edge of the park overlooking fields with distant sea views. Would definitely recommend paying the extra as otherwise the lodges are a little close together to command any real views. The lodge was clean and well presented. My only slight critisims would be that a) no basics were supplied eg washing up liquid, starter supply of dishwasher tabs, oven glove and b)cutlery, crockery was limited to strictly one of each ie 4 knives, forks, plates so you had to wash up after each meal rather than wait until the dishwasher was full.Otherwise a perfect break with wall to wall sunshine-amazing for mid March.

Absolutely perfect! Very quiet and perfect for a quiet romantic break. We were booked in for one week starting Saturday. Unfortunately heavy snow was forecast. A quick phone call to the site and Jenny in the office had arranged an extra night for a small charge. We arrived at 11pm at night to find the lodge ready for us complete with two lots of scones, jam and cream (what a lovely surprise!) We realised what a great investment these lodges can be and purchasing one of these may be a real possibility when we retire in five years time.

Excellent holiday even at a colder time of year, plenty of good walks, which was great with our dog Riley. everybody very friendly and almost all the local pubs were dog friendly which made everyday out alot easier, although I think Riley may have a drink issue now..lol.
Stuart
