Me and my partner have just got back from a long weekend here, absolutely perfect if you want to escape life!!!
We got there at half 12/1 even though we couldnt check in until 4 and was just going to ask if they could give us a call when the lodge was ready (if it was going to be done before 4) and the plan was to explore while we waited but the owner said we could go straight to the lodge which was great! He was really friendly, showed us to the lodge and how the hot hub worked etc then he never bothered us again all weekend (although he was on hand if we had needed him). I read a review saying that the cabins were dirty but ours was immaculately clean... to the point where my partner tested the top of the four poster bed for dust as a joke (expecting there to be a bit as its high up and out of the way) but there wasnt any at all... the whole cabin was spot less! Has everything you would need for self catering... and the dishwasher was a nice extra! Hot hub was lovely... it rained the first night but we were still sat in the hot bubbles! And luckily the sun was lovely the rest of the weekend so was brilliant to sit in the hot tub in the sunshine... especially with the bbq going!
The pub down the road is nice although we never got chance to eat there as they dont serve all day on a Sunday and we had just missed dinner so we were a bit disappointed as we had read how good the good is (check the times)!
As we missed dinner at the pub and we had both had a drink we were a bit stuck for food so you need to think a head, luckily we found an Indian take away in just eat! Highly recommended! shabagh tandoori in Leominster! I rang and explained where we were staying, they delivered to us we just had to meet them at the Entrance... we were even cheeky and asked them to stop at the shop for us on their way and they did!!
These cabins are a hidden gem, they are in the middle of no where but still close enough to towns etc if needed. Great if you just want to get away from life and relax. We were a bit worried about no phone signal in case there was a problem with the children back home but we both had a signal the whole time. Would definitely recommend and will be going back!
Highlight of the weekend has to be sat in the hot tub at 10pm looking at the stars and as their isnt any light pollution from street lights etc the sky is pitch black and a real treat when the stars are shining!

Third visit here & although not far from home, feels a world away. The Riverside Inn is just 5 minutes walk away & excellent.
Amazing Finland wood cabin in a fantastic well maintain woodland area. The riverside inn serves amazing food. Another great long weekend away, which we will do again next year.
I wasn’t sure I was going to make it on holiday due to recent surgery and still unwell and due more surgery but went anyway and boy am I glad I did what a wonderful place to wake up in everyday. Wonderful views every morning to wake up to in a warm comfortable lodge. Has absolutely everything you need. We are coming back!! I’ve had my second surgery now... and will be looking to come back very soon xxx
Beautiful setting and immaculate lodge. Staff wonderful and helpful. A very relaxing break.
Love this lodge, this area. Perfect location for exploring Hereford. Great pub with amazing food within walking distance. For 7 years in a we have had our annual friends catch up here. Would have left a big 'Thank You' to the owners but no guest book available this year. Simply great, may return next year.....
Booked as a suprise weekend away for my husband, the lodges were easy to find, it was a lovely & quiet & very relaxing weekend, had a lovely meal at the riverside pub about 300 yards away from lodge, there was no signal on mobile phone o2 but that just added more peace for us, the hot tub was delightful & I will be defiantly be booking here again
