The Bothy is a home away from home, situated in a beautiful setting located close to Brotherswater with stunning views down the valley amongst the hills in the surrounding Lake District. This unique cottage is one of a kind and the only cottage featured on this small lodge site. A converted barn, the Bothy gives that rural feel whilst giving you luxury and warmth with its modern heating, WIFI and cooking facilities. Both bedrooms are spacious and boast their own ensuites.

Yes, this holiday rental comes with a private use hot tub that's yours to use for the duration of your stay.
Are the hot tubs cleaned prior to arrival?
Hot tubs are usually drained and emptied at around 10am in the morning which allows them to heat up to the correct temperature for your arival. The one exception being if you're booking a property with a wood-fired tub, which make need to be heated when you arrive. Check the description box on this page for details.
Can children use the hot tub at The Bothy?
Its advisable that those under the age of 5 refrain from using hot tubs. If your child is over 5 years old, it is recommended to maintain a lower water temperature of approximately 35°C and limit their soaking time to 10 minutes. Younger children may have more difficulty regulating their body temperature, so these precautions are essential to ensure a safe hot tub experience for older kids.
How long can you stay in the hot tub?
If you're new to hot-tubbing, it's best to keep your sessions to short bursts. 10-15 minutes is often recommended but even that might be too long for some users. Just be aware that higher temperatures of around 40°C can make you feel faint. Take breaks, drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and turn the temperature down if it's 'too much'.
