Set within a stunning natural location, the lodge enjoys amazing countryside views, allowing you to appreciate the peaceful surroundings whether you are relaxing in bed, enjoying breakfast, unwinding in the hot tub, or sitting outside in the evening. The lodge also features underfloor heating throughout, together with a beautiful biofuel burner, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere that is particularly special during cosy evenings. Living & KitchenThe open-plan layout brings the kitchen, dining and living areas together to create a welcoming space for couples to relax and spend time together. The kitchen features a lovely dining island, making it a natural social space for enjoying breakfast, a romantic dinner or a glass of wine together. The kitchen is equipped with a gas oven, electric hob, fridge with freezer compartment, cooking utensils, cookware, crockery, cutlery and glassware, providing everything you need for a comfortable self-catering stay. The lodge also benefits from underfloor heating and a biofuel burner, adding to the cosy and romantic feel of the accommodation. Does this accommodation come with a private hot tub?
Yes, this holiday rental comes with a private use hot tub that's yours to use for the duration of your stay.
Are the hot tubs cleaned prior to arrival?
Hot tubs are usually drained and emptied at around 10am in the morning which allows them to heat up to the correct temperature for your arival. The one exception being if you're booking a property with a wood-fired tub, which make need to be heated when you arrive. Check the description box on this page for details.
Can children use the hot tub at Retreat Lodge?
Its advisable that those under the age of 5 refrain from using hot tubs. If your child is over 5 years old, it is recommended to maintain a lower water temperature of approximately 35°C and limit their soaking time to 10 minutes. Younger children may have more difficulty regulating their body temperature, so these precautions are essential to ensure a safe hot tub experience for older kids.
How long can you stay in the hot tub?
If you're new to hot-tubbing, it's best to keep your sessions to short bursts. 10-15 minutes is often recommended but even that might be too long for some users. Just be aware that higher temperatures of around 40°C can make you feel faint. Take breaks, drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and turn the temperature down if it's 'too much'.
