"We found the lodge to be quite spacious, plenty of room for our stuff. The lounge was really comfy, especially with the Smart TV which was a nice touch. The decking area, though, was a bit of a let-down-no chairs or table, just the wooden picnic table, so outdoor relaxing wasnt ideal. The mattress on the double was a bit firm for our liking, but it did the job. Also, the kitchen sink was square, but the round washing bowl didnt fit it at all-bit of a hassle. Overall, not bad!"

"We had an incredible stay! The lodge was spotless and the jacuzzi was fantastic for relaxing. We enjoyed the fire pit outside twice - perfect for chilly evenings. Only thing would be adding lamps in the living room and master bedroom, plus a slab by the fire pit to avoid the muddy ground. Brilliant overall!"

"We had a lovely stay at this charming cottage tucked away on a working farm, which made it quite private and peaceful. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are genuinely lovely people who made us feel very welcome. The place itself is spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed. The garden is perfect for dogs, totally secluded and furnished nicely. There are plenty of walks nearby and Thaxted has some great places to eat-The Star and The Maypole being our favourites. Wed definitely recommend it!"

"We recently stayed for four nights with our dog and honestly, we had such a lovely time. The site is really peaceful and well-equipped, perfect if you're after some proper relaxation. The views from the lodge were stunning and theres plenty to explore nearby, which kept us busy. Were already planning to come back for a week over Christmas and New Year! The Hillside Cabin was tucked away but had everything we needed and it felt super cosy. Sad to leave, but well definitely return!"

"We stayed at the lodge recently and found it quite okay, though it could do with more cutlery and plates, honestly. The hot tubs location was a bit inconvenient, being away from the lodge and not very private-wouldve been better if it was on the decking for some seclusion. The activity schedule was limited to Tuesdays and Saturdays, which was a shame since more frequent options would be great. We thought the value for money was pretty good, but our boys, aged 14 and 15, couldnt use the pool or spa alone, even though theyre good swimmers-they needed an adult with them. As for exploring, walking off-site isnt really an option, as the lane is muddy and narrow. Surprisingly, Newtown had quite a few shops and wed definitely return there sometime. All in all, not bad, but some improvements would make it perfect!"

"We had a fantastic stay at this lovely spot tucked away in such a peaceful, private setting. The owners are genuinely friendly and always happy to help if needed, but it still feels quite secluded. The hot tub was a real treat after a long day of cycling - perfect! A little heads up, the cottage is right under Stansted's flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but honestly, it didnt ruin our holiday at all. Wed definitely come back!"
