Heart Of Wales Lodges Reviews

"We had a lovely stay at the lodge! The place was well-equipped and exceeded our expectations given the price. The views were stunning and it really felt like we had the whole area to ourselves-perfect for a relaxing weekend. The only minor grumbles: the couches could have been more comfy and the hot tub wouldnt go above 37.5 degrees, which was a bit disappointing. Still, overall, it was a great experience and wed definitely return. Definitely recommend for a chilled getaway!"
Alex - Feb 2025
"We had such a lovely stay at this good place! The location is super peaceful and private, perfect for relaxing. The owners are genuinely friendly and always ready to help if needed, without intruding on your privacy. The hot tub was a real treat after a long day of cycling - absolute bliss! Just a heads up, the cottage is under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us much once we got used to it, but if you're sensitive to noise, its worth knowing. Overall, a fantastic place for a quiet getaway!"
Raj - Oct 2024
"Weve been coming back to the Heart of Wales Lodges for a couple of years now. Our last visit was in 2021, after having to postpone our 2020 trip because of the pandemic-luckily, everything was smooth. The lodges are always spotlessly clean, which we really appreciate. Duncan was lovely, greeting us at 5pm with the keys and checking in on us during a particularly stormy week. Weve recommended it to friends and family whove also booked and everyone agrees-its a lovely place to stay and well worth it!"
James - Jul 2024
"We loved our stay here! The lodge was spotless and felt really roomy. The hot tub, tucked away in a private spot, was a great touch. The views of the countryside are stunning. Its such a peaceful, cosy place to unwind and just relax. Definitely coming back!"
Emma - Jan 2024
"Our Heart Of Wales Lodges review: We had a lovely stay here. The place is perfect for relaxing, with all the amenities you could want. The host was really friendly and knew the area well."
Sam - Jan 2024
"We had a fantastic stay at this cosy lodge! Its super clean and feels like a real home from home. The private hot tub in its own garden was perfect for relaxing and star gazing at night. The bed was comfy and the shower was excellent. Plus, having a washer and dryer meant no washing to lug home. We definitely recommend visiting Ellan Valley nearby - its stunning. This place was just what we needed to start the new year fresh. Well be back!"
Lauren - Sep 2023
"We had such a lovely stay! The hot tub was fantastic and the hosts made us feel really welcome. Watching the birds come and go outside the window was a lovely touch. Definitely recommend!"
Emily - Jan 2020
"Beautiful area, really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend this place to others."
Mark - Dec 2019
"We really felt at home in the lodge, its cosy and inviting. My only tiny gripe was the mattress being a bit soft for my back, but overall, it was a lovely stay!"
Rachel - Sep 2019
"We had such a lovely time at this place! The location is simply stunning and the lodges are really well equipped - honestly, everything you might need is provided, which makes everything so easy. The hot tub was a real highlight, especially after a long day. The owners are super friendly and make you feel right at home. The kids didnt want to leave either, which says it all. Weve already booked for next year and cant wait to come back. Thanks for a fantastic stay!"
Lucy - Aug 2019
"We had an amazing stay at the lodge! Everything we needed was there, making us feel right at home. The hot tub was spotless and checked daily, but it didnt bother us at all. The scenery is breathtaking, especially with Elan Valley just minutes away. Were definitely coming back - cant wait for our next visit!"
Harriet - Mar 2019
"A lovely secluded lodge in beautiful countryside. Totally secure for any size dog and a wonderful hot tub. Lots of lovely walks a short drive away and enjoyed the boatlake at Llandrindod Wells. All friendly welcome on arrival too."
Sarah - Jul 2022
"Loved the lodge!!.. hot tub was excellent!..would definitely recommend for a relaxing secluded break"
Maxine - Jul 2022
"Absolutely just what we were looking for. Huge lodge in the middle of nowhere. Only two lodges on site. Everything absolutely spotless. Duncan couldn’t have been any more helpful with daily visits to service the hot tub and six fresh eggs waiting in the fridge for us on arrival."
Kevin - Jun 2022
"Absolutely amazing place."
Caylan - Jun 2022

Abimbola - Apr 2022
"A beautiful and peaceful location."
Rachel - Apr 2022
"If you want a escape from the hustle and bustle of life this is the place to pick. The lodge it’s self is first class with lots of space comfortable beds and a fantastic hot tub we’ll definitely be booking again. Highly recommend 5 stars"
Diane - Apr 2022
"It’s by far the most beautiful lodge me and my partner have stayed in. With there being only 2 lodges at the place, it is so quiet and private you cannot beat it. The location itself has beautiful views and is very quiet, but there isn’t an awful lot to do unless you travel. But we went for a relaxing holiday so not having things to do was not an issue for us personally. The lodge is fully equipped with everything, some bathroom products such as shampoo, conditioner and body wash would have been appreciated but with COVID this may have been the reason for their absence I have recommended (and will continue to recommend) this lodge to lots of family and friends and hopefully me and my boyfriend will return at some point in the future."
