for me this was just the break I'd wanted. An excellent holiday for real tranquillity. A proper chance to take yourself away from the hustle and bustle of the outside world and truly relax in beautiful surroundings. Due to the severity of the snow I wasn't able to visit some beautiful little towns nearby but was more than happy to walk around the local area taking in the breath taking views on the odd occasions cabin fever set in. The remoteness of this Lodge does need to be taken into account especially if possibly staying in bad weather. The Lodge was really warm and cosy throughout my stay, which was certainly needed during early December. It was beautifully furnished and had a number of lovely unexpected finishing touches such as fresh eggs & shortbread biscuits. Having travelled to and from the Lodge in very bad snow the Lodge owners were available to help me get to and from the main road up to the Lodge in such bad conditions. They really do couldn't do enough for which I really am grateful. My only reasons for down marking on the overall rating is the due to the fact the shower appeared quite old and really didn't work that well and the kitchen was quite limited in utensils and cooking dishes. This does however seem petty when I consider what a truly amazing week I had in the most amazing of surroundings. I would most definitely recommend Heartsease Lodges to friends, family and others and would love to think I will return in the very near future.

A lovely log cabin set in a quiet peaceful location. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived and had everything we needed for a few days of chilling. Beds were made up for our arrival and clean towels were provided. The chemicals in the hot tub were checked daily. All in all a lovely place to stay if you want to get away from everything.

Brilliant Lodge! Clean throughout and much more space than expected. Quiet location but close enough to places we wanted to visit. Our dog loved the garden and making friends with the sheep (that he couldn't get to as garden enclosed.) The lodge contained all we needed and the owners were both friendly and helpful.

Date of stay: 4th April 2016
Brilliant place to stay for a chilled weekend. Weather wasn't the greatest but doesn't matter with the hot tub. If your looking for a walking weekend and a lodge in the middle of no where Heartsease Lodges are perfect. Owners were extremely helpful, example being the hot tub stopped working late Saturday night and an electrician was down 1st thing Sunday morning to fix it. The nearest pub was the red lion which was a good hour, hour and a halfs walk but worth it, friendly and amazing food. We walked there with the dog & because it was dark by home time the owner of the red lion offered us a lift home. Llandrindod Wells town is about a 15 minute drive which has everything needed as in superstore, takeaways etc so even though lodge is in middle of nowhere everything needed is easily accessible. The lodge itself was perfect, clean & tidy, and equipped with everything needed. Couldn't have asked for more
Jane, Bury St Edmunds
Date of stay: 18th March 2016
We had a lovely holiday here. The lodge is superb, really clean and one of the best equipped lodges we have stayed in. Lovely quiet and peaceful location which is just what we wanted. Ross the owner is so friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our chats with him each morning. Places to visit: Powis Castle, Aberystwyth and for stunning walks visit Elan Valley, the Four Waterfalls in the Brecon Beacons and Devils Bridge (warning - very steep steps!! ) and for a scenic drive go to Llyn Clywedog Lake.
Would definitely recommend these lodges for a lovely, relaxing break.

Lovely, well equipped lodge in peaceful surroundings well away from a main road. If you want to escape this is the place. Hot tub in enclosed garden was great with plenty of space for the dog to run around. Lovely to see twinkly lights and Christmas tree waiting for us - made it extra special.
Matt, Kidderminster
Date of stay: 27th December 2015
We stayed here over the week of Christmas. The lodge was brilliant. Great layout, was fab having a washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher and a good sized freezer. The garden is large and enclosed so no worries of escaping children or dogs. Hot tub was amazing. Towels all included, as was a lovely bottle of wine for us and Christmas chocolates for the children. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Extremely clean and well equipped (we easily cooked our Christmas dinner). Beautiful full sized Christmas tree was up in the lodge and the outside had fairy lights on which really helped make a special Christmas for us. Fully recommend

A beautiful lodge in stunning surroundings. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the lodge had everything you need for a short break.
The hot tub was a very welcoming feature after a long day of hiking in the mid Wales countryside.
The enclosed gardens were perfect for our little dog to explore.

We will definitely be booking again.

Quality accommodation and friendly owners. Completely enclosed large size garden which meant that our dog also had a good time, and we were relaxed knowing that he couldn't escape and get lost. The hot tub was well maintained and a great way to relax at the end of the day.

Wow!! again this lodge had everything, the hot tub was inspected every morning at the same time.

The only thing is that there are not glass glasses for indoor use.

Plastic is fine for outdoors but indoors should also be accounted for.

Date of stay: 14th November 2014
We stayed Lodge 2, it was amazingly clean, couldn't fault it. The layout and facilities where excellent and we couldn't find anything we would add, from frying pans to knives to soap there was bits of everything to keep you going. The hot tub was amazing and secluded it was constantly on and hot, so whenever you fancied you just took the cover off and turned on the bubbles. We would not hesitate in returning or recommending. A very nice, clean and homely lodge with all the mod cons. As for phone signal we are on 3 and EE we both had signal. Not the best but good enough, and I found a spot where it was good so put my phone as a hotspot so we could connect ipad to Internet. I've seen a few reviews about phone signal so thought I'd mention it. Don't hesitate in booking a stay here. Excellent.

Bluebell Lodge is warm and welcoming, felt homely from the moment we stepped through the door. Since it was fully equipped, fully furnished and also had a few DVDs/books/board games it automitically felt like home from home. The hot tub was a bonus! Was romantic in the evening and relaxing during the day. This was my second stay at the lodges, and will definitely return!

We loved this place, we were on honeymoon and wanted to be in the middle of nowhere, this fitted the bill perfectly. We had our baby with us and a highchair and travel cot were provided, we also had our big bouncy dog with us and the garden was very secure for him. There are loads of walks In the surrounding areas and Elan Valley is just a short car journey away. Be aware this is a remote place and lacks phone signal but if that's what you want then this is definitely the place for you. Lodge had all amenities and was very clean and modern, not forgetting the awesome hot tub to relax in at the end of the day. Thank you for a great week!
