Pen Y Clawdd Reviews

Lee - Mar 2025
Very lovely cottage in an ideal location. Loved watching the pigs in the forest from the hot tub and the birds visit frequently, which was lovely. The beds were very comfortable and it is a great place to relax to recharge.
Althea - Feb 2025
A lovely place to stay! The cottage was clean and very well equipped. Plenty of storage space and very comfortable. Having a washing machine and tumble dryer was a definite plus after a muddy walk. The hot tub was a lovely bonus! We will definitely be staying again in the future.
Robert - Oct 2024
What a gem of a property! Wellmaintained, everything you could need for a stay and lovely and warm. It was spotlessly clean and the location was beautiful. Ill miss opening the curtains to the views of the cloud on the valley below. Family hired the lodge next door and there was a gate between the two lodges perfect for larger family groups if you can book the two. Well definitely be back!!!
Sharon - Sep 2024
Lovely peaceful comfortable lodge, read a previous review about kettle full of limescale, when you look it up its salt residue not lime scale as the water at the property has borehole water, it came off with a gentle rub, other than that very well equipped, home from home, weeds on slabs around hot tub need a pull up but as its in the middle of very rural country side its to be expected. Hopefully will return as we love this area.
Karen - Sep 2024
Cabin was great and comfortable, very good facilities. Location was ideal for us and owner was lovely and informative of any issues. However, we were originally taking our pets as cabin was advertised with secure garden but we have terrier dogs and didn't find the garden that secure, perfect without pets for us. I did notice that general cleanliness was fine but the kettle was full of limescale and we couldn't use it, everything else was generally fine. Hot tub was great but the jets didn't work that well and the patio area needed a jet wash and tidy up. On the sykes app, the whole place appeared in better condition than what we saw when we arrived and we paid alot of money for our stay. I would recommend the cabin as a holiday and would go again if the things mentioned were done, I would definitely more than recommend
Jeremy - Aug 2024
Fantastic 4 days away with the family in absolutely stunning backgroundcountryside. A fabulous place to spend some real quality time. The host was very friendly and helpful l, particularly when we had some new noisy neighbours arrive. We would definitely recommend this to anyone, and we will be going next year!
Beverley - Jun 2024
It was a great place to stay, very relaxing and everything you could want, home from home. Loved the hot tub. The dogs loved the enclosed garden. Only thing to mention is the longer grassnettles around the edge of the patio and rear garden could have been cut back.
Dana - Nov -0001

Karen - Nov -0001

Beth - Nov -0001
Lovely lodge lovely setting ! And it snowed which was magical! Very well equipped! We loved it
Gareth - Nov -0001
Pen Y Clawdd is possibly one of the most peaceful and scenic places I've ever had the privilege to stay at! !The ability to get up and out was slowed down by the view. The peace and relaxation was invaluable. You're close enough to visit places, especially HayonWye, a must in our book!!
David - Nov -0001
It was as much, if not more, than we hoped it to be. Great property, great location. Would definitely visit again.
