Rosewood Stud Park Reviews

"Honestly, the place was really grimy and disgusting. We definitely won't be returning anytime soon. Avoid it!"
Emma - Oct 2024
"Honestly, we were really disappointed with this place. The decking was burnt and damaged, windows wouldnt lock properly and the electrics kept hissing at us. The jacuzzi was disgusting and it was a total mess inside. We left early and got refused a refund. Avoid!"
Emma Carter - Sep 2024
"Great stay, lovely lodge, exactly what we needed for the holiday."
Emma Carter - Nov 2023
"We enjoyed the wedding weekend, but getting there without transport was tricky and the accommodation prices were quite steep for just a couple of days. Still, lovely event!"
Emma - Nov 2023
"Our Rosewood Stud Park review: Great experience, would definitely stay again!"
Emma - Aug 2020
"Great experience, will return soon"
Emma - Aug 2020
"Really enjoyed our stay in lodge 4; it was cosy, nicely equipped and perfect for our needs."
Emma - Jul 2020
"We had a fantastic family getaway; the lodge was cosy, the surroundings peaceful, perfect for unwinding."
Emily - Jul 2020
"Really enjoyed our stay, the hot tub was a highlight!"
Charlotte - Jul 2020
"Really enjoyed our stay, it was just perfect."
Emma - Mar 2020
"The place is quite nice overall, but for the price, a few upgrades wouldn't hurt. The welcome pack was lovely, but with 8 people, two tiny jars of jam and a small cereal pack felt a bit sparse. Still, we enjoyed it!"
Emma - Mar 2020
"Really enjoyed the stay"
Emma Roberts - Nov 2019
"We had a lovely weekend at Rosewood Stud. Even though its only an hour from home, it genuinely felt like a mini holiday. The location is perfect - nice and secluded in the countryside, but close enough to Cambridge, Ely and Bury St. Edmunds for day trips. The only hiccup was that a nearby cabin (we think No. 7) hosted a pretty loud party on the Friday night, which went on into the early hours and disturbed our sleep. Still, we dont blame the place at all - just unlucky with that noise! Overall, a great stay."
Jamie - Nov 2019
"We had a lovely time exploring the countryside and theres quite a lot to keep us busy nearby. Definitely recommend!"
Emma - Oct 2019
"Really enjoyed our stay here. The place is super peaceful and quiet, with gorgeous horses roaming around. Perfect for a relaxing escape, but definitely need a car to get around!"
Amira - Sep 2019
"Looking forward to visiting again soon!"
Emma - Sep 2019
"We really enjoyed the peaceful setting, its perfect for unwinding. The hot tub under the stars was definitely a highlight! Yes, some bits of the lodge look a bit tired-like the fridge door and stained carpets-but overall, its a lovely spot for a chill getaway. Wed come back!"
Emily - Sep 2019
"Overall, pretty happy with it. Just wish there were bedside lamps for reading and the cooker needed a clean!"
Emma - Sep 2019
"We found the apartment to be a decent size and pretty much had everything we needed for our stay. The Wi-Fi was steady enough most of the time, which was handy. We did notice a few things that could be improved-like adding some bedside lamps and a couple of hooks on the back of the doors would be a big help. The fridge was a bit broken with no door on the icebox and a breadboard in the kitchen wouldve been useful. We didnt get a welcome pack, but the staff sorted out our minor issues quickly. All in all, a good stay!"
Emma Carter - Aug 2019
"Really enjoyed our trip, it was just what we needed. Will definitely return, such a perfect spot to unwind and relax completely."
James - Jun 2019
"We had an amazing holiday! Everyone, from 2 to 56, loved every minute!"
Emma - May 2019
"Really enjoyed it, would definitely recommend to friends!"
Emma - Apr 2019
"We had such a lovely, chilled-out day celebrating with friends at our venue. Cant wait to return! Truly a special spot."
Emma - Apr 2019
"Great experience, will return"
Alex - Mar 2019

Alex Turner - Mar 2019
"Really enjoyed our stay, would definitely return."
Jamie - Mar 2019
"It was a beautiful, quiet location with a cafe, play area and a pub no more than a 5 minute drive away. The cabin was lovely and spacious. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We all said that we would look forward to staying again."
Katrina - Aug 2022
"Lovely location, very quiet but only a ten minute drive from Tesco should you need anything. Not a huge amount to do or see on the site, but perfect for a quiet break. Family of 7 here (5 children) and the kids loved the accommodation and hot tub. Cambridge and Ely only 30 mins or so away. Wicken Fen is a great place to visit and is only a 20 min drive. Accommodation was very clean. A few minor repair jobs were probably needed (shower bracket loose and one missing Oven Knob) but nothing major."
Colin - Aug 2022
"An amazing, tranquil gorgeous holiday park. Lodge was top notch. Staff very helpful and just so great to wake up see the horses. Lovely stay, thank you."
Margaret - Jul 2022
"Restful break easily accessible to different areas, all in all highly recommendable!!"
Michelle - Jul 2022
"Shame it was just a set price for set nights? More flexibility would be nice. We travelled up for a weekend wedding from Hampshire and we had to pay for Fri/sat and Sunday stay over??? So bit expensive for two nights needed."
Allison - Jun 2022
"Had a fantastic stay nice and peaceful, hot tub was great in morning with the sunrise."
Verified Guest - Jun 2022
"Everything was perfect for us, quiet place between trees with a small pond, with ducks and geese. Good for disconnecting for a few days. We visited some national trust locations in the area, parks, and a close mill. We saw horses close by, rabbits, sheeps and heard so many birds between the trees. Also there was a wedding, but we managed to sleep."
Adriana - Jun 2022
"Lovely 4 night stay-beautiful surroundings!"
Corinne - Jun 2022
"The caravan was spotless hot tub was lovely we went out to ely which was great the country park there was lovely if you have children take them there walk along the river grab some lunch fantastic and the dog loved it as well"

National Horse Racing Museum - CB8 8JL

This is a museum with a difference and a must see if you are into horse racing.  You can take guided tours around the museum or choose to wander round yourself admiring the exhibits.  New for 2010 is a Junior Fun Tour which is ideal for children.  Simply ask the gallery staff for a Fun Tour pack when you enter the museum and kids can answer questions and spot clues and tips on the way round.  One of the most popular recent exhibitions is the Thoroughbred: State of the Art exhibition in Gallery 5 on until 31st October.  Check out their websites for the latest exhibitions.

Banham Zoo - NR16 2HE
about 26 Miles
This award winning wildlife attraction has much to offer both families and couples looking for a fun and educational day out.  You can discover a whole wild world of animals with over 1000 different animals from around the world. You will probably want to try and spend the whole day here so you don's miss out on anything.  Highlights include the amazing animals presentation, the birds of prey display and the feeding talks, all of which take place at set times of the day.  This attraction is fantastic value for money and highly recommended.  Their latest event is the Snow Leopard Club Naming Auction and there has recently been a baby giraffe born at the zoo.
Melsop Farm Park - NR20 3DT
about 27 Miles
We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals.  Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas.  On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks.  Hot food is available over lunch times.
Great Notley Park - CM77 7FS
about 30 Miles
This attraction is currently under construction but we are looking forward to it opening in early 2011.  The philosophy of the Discovery Centre is 'healthy body, healthy mind, healthy planet and aims to change people's attitudes and actions towards our planet.  Educational as well as fun there are plenty of activities such as outdoor sport pitches, cycle and walking trails and indoor activity rooms.  This is a unique attraction for the whole family.
Suffolk Owl Sanctuary - IP28 6HX
about 30 Miles
This amazing owl sanctuary located in the Stowmarket area of Suffolk should be high on your list of places to visit in the area.  The attraction is also a registered charity and carries out important work in the care & rehabilitation of owls from the region.  The sanctuary also raises awareness of owl conservation throughout the UK.  Between April and the end of September there are two superb flying displays each day so you should try and make your visit coincide with one of these displays if you can.
Colchester Zoo - CO3 0SL
about 35 Miles
Colchester Zoo is a fantastic place to visit with something for all the family.  Wander around and see the array of animals in excellent habitats.  Don't forget to visit the Leopards at Ussuri Falls, this new expansion can be located opposte the White Tiger Valley and the Medellin Momkeys.  Other popular areas of the zoo include Tiger Taiga, Chimp World and Wallaby Walkabout.   Look out for special events throughout the year such as Shriek Week on Halloween.  If you book tickets online you can obtain a discount of 10% and are also fast tracked on entry to the zoo - a great idea in the school holidays.
Dinosaur Adventure Park - NR9 5JW
about 39 Miles
This fun family day out has been well planned and we think is certainly worth a visit.  New for 2010 is the PrimEvil at Dinosaur Adventure.  Other fun activities include the Dinosaur Trail, Arachnophobia, the Raptor Races and the adventure play area.  The secret animal garden is also popular.  You can play a role in wildlife conservation and sponsor an animal if you wish.  At the moment if you sign up for their newsletter there is a chance to win a family ticket.
