Where's Bluewood Lodges?

Our children booked this as a surprise break for our anniversary. We stayed in Cupid's lodge. It was absolutely beautiful, stunning chandeliers and decor and the hot tub wassomething else! Can't wait to go back again!

Cupids lodge is lovely for a couple, brilliant things in the lodge, very cosy and at night it is very romantic with the dimming lights. Excellent value for money.

Peaceful, romantic and tranquil.... PERFECT!!
Date of stay: 14th May 2018
Peaceful and tranquil. Nice hot tub and surroundings.
Melanie, Coventry
Date of stay: 30th April 2018
We loved this lodge it was really well-equipped and clean. High standard of fittings and decor. The sunken hot tub under the canopy on the decking was just fab a totally relaxing experience. Sauna in the bathroom was a great addition!
Date of stay: 23rd April 2018
Any reference of the on-site restaurant needs to be removed - even in the review section - as we were told that it had closed down a few months ago (possibly longer).
The only minor letdown was the view of the LPG tanks at the back of the lodge.
Jade, Swindon
Date of stay: 22nd April 2018
Linked with stable lodge. Loved everything about it. Only downside was that the back door which opened out to the hot tub was very close to the door up to the bedroom so you could only have 1 door open at a time.
Clare, Lincolnshire
Date of stay: 13th April 2018
Blenheim Lodge was amazing, extremely spacious and modern, clean and well kept, beds extremely comfortable, hot tub 38C and Sauna up to 60C, both bedrooms had their own en suite which was perfect for us, use of own washer and dryer very helpful as having a huge pile to do when you get home is never fun, only downside was that there wasnt anything to do on site whatsoever - no restaurants or play areas or anything like that so children could get bored very quickly if you have not come prepared with plenty to occupy them!
Staff super friendly and helpful and lodges although close together do not overlook each other so when using the hot tub you have complete privacy!
Angela, Iwade
Date of stay: 13th April 2018

Date of stay: 2nd April 2018
Very enjoyable weekend, a bit expensive for a UK break, but it was during the Easter break so I guess the price reflects that

Date of stay: 30th March 2018

Joanne, Surrey
Date of stay: 5th February 2018
Everything was what we wanted with one exception, we were a couple wanting a quite weekend and were surrounded by other couples wanting the same, unfortunately we were also placed next to a very very noisy family with young children. Made using the hot tub unpleasant at times and their music etc could be heard in our lodge .
Bev, Bournemouth
Date of stay: 5th February 2018
We stayed in Cupids Lodge 4 for 3 nights over a weekend in February 2018. The location was superb, very secluded amongst stunning countryside. Our lodge was very private and not overlooked, plus the hot tub area had willow around the balcony to preserve more privacy. We really loved going in the hot tub early evening, amongst the trees and were able to see all the stars due to the low light pollution. When we arrived the guy on front desk was very helpful and could recommend local attractions and places to eat. There was nowhere to eat on site, which we were not aware of before arriving, but we bought some food locally from Chipping Norton to cook in our lodge. The nearest pub was a drive away so we found it easier to eat lunch out and then retreat to our lodge for the evening. The only negatives we had were: no dressing gowns (which would be nice for entering and exiting the hot tub on such cold evenings!) and that the hot tub was right behind where our bedroom was and so you could hear the pump when going to sleep which was a little disappointing for myself as I had to put my ear plugs in. Other than that our break was just what we needed and would highly recommend if you want to escape.
Victoria, London
Date of stay: 15th January 2018
Very relaxing, lots of nearby pubs and places to eat though ensure you have food for dinner at the lodge as a lot of places shut early
Charlotte, Kent
Date of stay: 14th January 2018
Absolutely loved everything about it. Best weekend in a very long time.
Wendy, Isle Of Wight
Date of stay: 27th December 2017
Dont think about it book you wont regret it. Couldnt rate the restaurant it wasnt open when we went over Christmas.
Annalise, Peterborough
Date of stay: 20th December 2017
Bed was comfy. Stain on the bedding. Needed to hoover under the bed as lots of dust/dirt.
Toilet was lose on the wall fixture.
Skirting board behind toilet/next to shower was rotten and needed replacing.
Seemed to have been an issue with bathroom drainage as sink/bath/shower took a while to empty.
Bath shower head clip was broken so this had to be hung round the taps.
Water temperature very hit and miss.
Light switches that were dimmers but didn't dim/had no turning fixture.

Fully equipped kitchen which isn't documented enough - this is a vey rare thing to find so market this more!
Useful to have a washing machine and dryer, even for a short stay.
Liked the waste/recycling bins, as you usually only have a household waste option.
Didn't use the sauna unfortunately.

We arrived around 4pm in the winter so it was dark, would have been nice to arrive to an outside light on. The steps were very slippy, and I dropped the key which took a while to find in the dark.
Lee, Hatfield
Date of stay: 4th December 2017
Super lovely relaxing place. My only negative comments would be the wi fi and the restaurant closing but we managed.
Lindsey, Buckinghamshire
Date of stay: 1st December 2017
Fabulous relaxing few days.
Date of stay: 1st December 2017
We were upgraded to a Kingham Lodge, absolutely gorgeous inside and very nicely furnished.
Emma, St Albans
Date of stay: 27th November 2017
The lodge itself (cupid no.30) can't be faulted. A late November stay was risky, but the heating is fantastic and the hot tub was used every evening. We cooked on two nights and the kitchen is well equipped, there's plenty of living/dining space, a small hallway to leave muddy boats and coats, gorgeous bedroom with a dressing room complete with sauna!!! the bathroom is massive.

Just don't forget washing up liquid like we did!
Kim, Liverpool
Date of stay: 27th November 2017
The lodge is well equipped and spacious. We were provided with all we need to enjoy our stay here. However, it would have been helpful if washing up liquid had been provided. Beds and sofa's were comfortable and the whole lodge was clean.
Kimberley, Swindon
Date of stay: 27th November 2017

Date of stay: 3rd November 2017
Valentine lodge was well set out and equipped with everything you needed. The only downside was the dark interior. Brighter lights would have made reading a lot easier.

There was mould in the bathroom but when I informed them of the broken fan they changed it straight away. Same for a broken board on the decking.

Date of stay: 25th September 2017
Cupids Lodge [5] was sited at the rear of the site and was very private and quiet.
It is very well fitted out and has everything you would need for a perfect stay.
It sleeps two and the bed whilst firm gave us a great nights sleep.
As well as a hot tub it also includes a two person sauna with music added
and a whirlpool bath + a lovely shower.
The kitchen is also very well equipped. For a relaxing break it was perfect.
Date of stay: 22nd September 2017
Great cabin very comfortable, our hot tub was very private with fences and facing out into a field - not all cabins are
Lara, Ipswich
Date of stay: 15th September 2017

Sharon, Leicestershire
Date of stay: 11th September 2017
sadly our TV speaker had gone and the fire in the lodge back lighting flame effect did not work but these were the only faults in the superb lodge.
Amanda, Brighton
Date of stay: 8th September 2017
Lodge was large enough to accommodate us all. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen had everything necessary (except a grill pan but we worked around that).
Not quite a clean as other sites I've stayed at but good enough. Hot tub was great, kept the teenagers happy most evenings.
Date of stay: 1st September 2017
Great lodge with plenty of room and loads of pots and cutlery if you are eating in.
Date of stay: 28th August 2017
My rating for Value for Money is based on the inflated cost of the 'Feastival' Weekend. From what I understand the 3 nights we booked were the same rate or more than a full week at any other time in August!
James, Sheffield
Date of stay: 25th August 2017
Had a great time - thanks v much

Date of stay: 21st August 2017

Lovely holiday and would definitely come back.
Sylvia, Hartlepool
Date of stay: 11th August 2017
Very nice but decoration was black and grey so made the lodge very dark would be better in a lighter colour as the shade from the surrounding trees make the lodge dark.
Date of stay: 7th August 2017
Great lodge but could have done with clean outside
Date of stay: 4th August 2017
Really nice place to visit.
Jacqui, Nantwich

Shirley, Portishead
Date of stay: 14th July 2017
Lovely lodge, comfy beds, clean and tidy.
Date of stay: 9th July 2017
Stable cottage was comfortable with plenty of space for a party of six, beautiful surroundings and large garden areas at both the front and back of the property. There was loads of space to play badminton and sports as well as sunbathe and the garden overlooked the stables so we made a few equine friends along the way.

The hot tub and the garden were the main highlights and we spent most of our time outside in the sun however there was a cosy living area with a tv and lovely fire pit that I imagine would be a treat for a winter break. There was a restaurant on site that provided take-away which was really convenient and full cooking facilities in the accommodation meant that we could cook whenever and whatever we wanted which allowed us to make the most of our time at the cottage.
Date of stay: 3rd July 2017
The location was perfect, very peaceful and beautiful. The hot tub was amazing and the way the lodges are positioned makes the decking area private. The lodge was very modern and done to a very high standard the staff couldn't have been nicer and the food in the onsite restaurant was absolutely lovely. Couldn't have had a nicer weekend and will def return.
Date of stay: 25th June 2017
The lodge was lovely, well decorated, spacious. The kitchen facilities were really good. The tumble dryer and washing machine came in handy. The sofa looked a bit chewed up.
Bethu, Milton Keynes
Date of stay: 19th June 2017

Hannah, Ipswich
Date of stay: 2nd June 2017
We were so impressed with our lodge. The utility room was the biggest surprise, as were the spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen facilities were perfect, and unlike other parks, they provided you with all the utensils and cooking equipment you could possibly need! The outside decking was wonderful, too, as were little touches, such as decorative items around the fireplace to make you feel really at home.
Caroline, Bournemouth

Date of stay: 19th May 2017
Every room was just amazing, bathroom was big and had everything you need include an sauna, the hot tub was on a very private covered decking just outside the bathroom doors which was very handy. The bedroom was so comfortable and cost with a tv and sliding door wardrobe. Living room has a nice sofa and chair, good size tv and an electric fire. The kitchen was a great size and shape with all utensils you could need

Date of stay: 7th April 2017
Lovely place to stay in a quiet location about 10 minutes from Stow and Chipping Norton. Lodge was very clean and well fitted out and had all you needed for a relaxing stay. Hot tub was a good size and ours looked out over a small wooded area. Staff were very helpful. Tatty Buntings on site restaurant offered good food and we liked the look of the outside area with pizza oven for the summer (it was too cold for outdoor pizza when we went in April)
Would recommend staying here, great area for exploring especially walking.
Date of stay: 31st March 2017

Date of stay: 6th February 2017
I Booked Cupids lodge, which is advertised as a romantic break for couples however, after having a rough couple of months I booked Cupids Lodge as a treat for myself, to have some time away to reflect, a retreat if you like. I can say, as it is my third time back to Blue woods ( however, my first time at Cupids Lodge) I thoroughly enjoyed my self. Even though I booked in the cold early February, it was a wonderful location with wonderful scenery and beautiful interior and decor. All the facilities you would need for an easy and relaxed and easy holiday. I would highly recommend for anyone/couples seeking time away. Since I live in the city, I found my stay, very peaceful and I was sad to leave. You kind of find yourself feeling "right at home" from the moment you enter your chosen Lodge and I was sad to be leaving. Can't wait to return next year as this is a lovely place to hibernate from the cold winter and a beautiful place to forget your troubles.
Lee, Bracknell

A great lodge perfectly designed for two people. The spa bath is a lovely way to rewind. It was very comfortable and relaxing.
Date of stay: 21st November 2016
Juliet lodge was absolutely beautiful and by far the best lodge I have stayed in.
Spotlessly clean and furnished to a very high standard. The hot tub area is more private than some of the other lodges due to the canopy which makes it a little more special. I would 100% recommend to anyone.
Date of stay: 18th November 2016
Wonderful lodge
Leanne, Tamworth
Date of stay: 11th November 2016
We stayed in Nov 2016 and what a fantastic week we had. The staff were brilliant and extremely accommodating. We can't wait to come back in the new year. It's our new favourite getaway! My family came to visit the one day and they were amazed at how clean, luxurious and spacious the cabin was. Absolutely brilliant! I'd reccomend to anyone wanting to get away and completely relax. The children and our dog had so much fun. Thankyou all for a brilliant stay. See you soon
Michaela, Chester
Date of stay: 4th November 2016
Lovely decor in the Woodstock Lodge but when the entire lodge smells of bad drains and raw sewerage the decor sadly is wasted. The ensuite bathroom was the worst with the drain in the shower just stinking! It got that bad that we chose to not use the ensuite in the end and kept the door shut. The smell from the kitchen wasn't much better either! Just awful!! It was that bad one day that we arrived home from a lovely day out and it took all my strength to stop gagging!! Revolting!! We definitely will not be staying here again which is a real shame since the setting is just beautiful and the restaurant amazing!!

Would fully recommend to couples looking for a romantic relaxing break away! Hot tub was amazing and loved the sauna.
Date of stay: 26th August 2016
See above, great cottage but poor wi-fi. No wi-fi reception inside the cottage, unless standing in the open skylight window in the upstairs bedroom.
Stephen, Tamworth
Date of stay: 22nd August 2016
Not quite as nice as the cupid lodge previously stayed in, as it is a bit smaller, and could do with a few hooks for coats near the entrance. But out of main season would probably be better than the cupid as the hot tub is under cover.
Helen, Eastleigh

The decking needs scrubbing and the Windows require a wash and lodges could be brushed down a bit

It was a very stylish comfortable lodge to stay in. I did feel that the kitchen equipment was of a poor quality, ie blunt knives etc. The lounge area would have been nicer with some larger windows.

Great lodge - specious, smart, well equipped and clean. Hot tub was great bonus.
The only thing that lets it down was location in the centre (25) making it like a fish bowl - looked on from every angle and the decking was shabby.

only small suggestion is for some decent patio furniture as what is supplied is not conducive to the quality of inside and weather was really good so it was spoilt by not being able to sit outside comfortably.

The Blenheim Lodge was very nicely decorated and had everything we needed. Having two en-suite bathrooms was good too. It really felt like a home away from home. The hot-tub was great, even on freezing cold nights. The sauna was also good - all instructions were provided and easy to follow. I would really recommend a stay.

Amazing place to stay! Cupid lodge was so homely and big we didn't want to come home. Hot tub was lovely in all weather conditions! And sauna was a brilliant touch! Honestly can't complain and am so already booking to come back in September! Such a beautiful place and so many lovely villages around it to visit too.
Date of stay: 8th February 2016

Bluewood Lodges makes a great central location to stay. We also made good use of the nearby (1mile) Station. Ticket prices are pretty good going from Kingham and it's nice getting rid of the car for the day. The best thing is to look at the location on google maps and from their you can plan your days out and travel plans...
Date of stay: 25th January 2016
Was very pleased with the Lodge and also the service we got there.
Would visit again.
David, Port Talbot
Date of stay: 18th January 2016
The lodge is totally dog friendly which to us is a big bonus. The lodge is spacious and well layed out. Clean and welcoming. We did think however the lodge needed a make over certain fixtures such as roller blind, fire and some light bulbs didn't work. Little things that didn't spoil our stay but could be put right so easily and should be checked regularly. Still love the lodge thou.
Andrew, Nottingham

Date of stay: 16th November 2015
Our lodge was in a very good position and the hot tub was very private. Everything we needed was there and it was clean and tidy. We enjoyed having a field of sheep directly behind us, particularly with the young fox's exploits early on the Saturday morning!
The lodge was, however very cold on our arrival and took hours to reach a good temperature.
Carol, Newport
Date of stay: 16th November 2015
Perfect for a relaxing peaceful break. Lodges contain all the essentials and non essentials that makes it feel home from home.
Date of stay: 6th November 2015
Lodge very nice, however Microwave did not rotate (Broken), the TV remote had no batteries and the other remote was broken, The cutlery in the drawer was dirty and had to be cleaned! Disgusting! Such a shame or this would have got a much better rating.
Heidi, Southampton
Date of stay: 2nd November 2015

Date of stay: 2nd November 2015
This is our second visit to Cupid and it felt like the Lodge needed some refurbishment:

The blinds in the bedroom were falling off
The blinds in the dressing room were missing (making it unusable)
The bathroom curtains are completely see through (several people have listed this on reviews) making it difficult to use the nice feature bath
The TV in the bedroom and the lounge have DVD players built-in but the drawers don't open properly
The TV Remote in the lounge doesn't work properly
The Dishwasher was temperamental
The lights in the hot tub didn't work

All of the above are minor things that can be easily fixed but are annoying when you pay such a high price. It's such a shame as this really is a great lodge in a nice quiet private location.

Despite these issues, we had a fantastic relaxing weekend. The lodge was very warm, the beds very comfy and it was a peaceful relaxing weekend. However, based on our experience we would try somewhere new now.
Date of stay: 2nd November 2015
Bathroom and toilet downstairs with bedroom upstairs with a very narrow door leading up to . Park is lovely and peaceful, restaurant delightful and staff extremely friendly and helpful. Had serious issue with shower as it alternates between scalding and ice cold. Maintenance did look at it and the issue was improved but not resolved . Would stay again but in a lodge rather than cottage
Date of stay: 30th October 2015
Some of the furnishings and fittings may need to be repaired or replaced soon, maybe a bit of decorating - but overall the standards were good.
Brenda, Rochford Essex
Date of stay: 26th October 2015
We were awaken first morning because of noise from road near bedroom window with digger going back and forward. Taking mounds of soil back and forward past our lodge. Also next day the water was off 1.5 hours when they burst a water main whilst my husband was in the shower all soaped up he had to wipe suds off on towel made him itchy. We then couldn't use hot tub. Next day digger still going past at 5pm. Thought we had booked a tranquil break in 5 star accommodation.
Annabel, Kent
Date of stay: 26th October 2015
The lodge was perfect, we were surprised with the number of lodges on the site however when you are inside the lodge you forget all about that. Lodge was well equipped, a few light bulbs didn't work and the flip bin lid was broken however we did not care about this. Was a perfect stay.

Date of stay: 23rd October 2015
Lovely lodge well equipped. The only slight issue we had was with privacy for the hot-tub but we felt a bit better when we moved the table and chairs in front of the steps to get onto the decking. Maybe a covered gate would be good.

Had a wonderful stay at Bluewood lodges, plenty to do around the area or if you don't want to do anything the lodge is perfect to relax in. Everything very clean, jacuzzi lovely. The only thing that would of made it even better would be if there was an onsite swimming pool. Have already been reccommending and would return! :)
Jeanette, Greater Manchester

We have stayed 3 times in this lodge as we have a small dog.
The only negative is that there is no screening around the decking and hot tub

Beautifully furnished lodge in lovely location looking over fields. The hot tub was an added bonus. Well equipped but a few basic supplies on arrival would be welcome. Advertised tea/coffee/milk supplied but the quantity left would barely last one day.

A dog friendly lodge with a little dog welcome pack of a blanket, towel, bowls, mat and treats. Very nice touch. Immaculate with no signs dogs have ever been there. Only down side is there is no garron the decking to stop the dog getting out. Very comfortable.

Four poster bed seemed too big for size of room. Liked the utility room area, good for storing coats, shoes etc. although our drier wasn't working and we were told it would be replaced but it wasn't. Bathroom radiator very rusty which ruins look.
Maxine, Milton Keynes
Date of stay: 10th August 2015
The lodge was a home from home with everything that you needed. The only very slight negative was that it was a little tired round the edges - nothing major and something that will probably be done at the end of the season - but it could have done with a repaint and some of the wallpaper was starting to peel away.
Date of stay: 10th August 2015
Beautiful lodge, very well equipped.
Mike, Newbridge, Gwent
Date of stay: 31st July 2015
The lodge and the site itself are faultless but the only thing that let's it down is the very poor wifi speed. During the day it is virtually unuseable. The staff told me that they are due an upgrade in the coming months.

Enjoyed our stay very much, Lodge was everything that was described in advert. Only 1 issue, could do with a couple of extra towels, 1 pair not enough for a four night stay , what with hot tub and showers.
David, Nottingham

Date of stay: 12th June 2015
This lodge was great for me and my mum, we each had an ensuite double bedroom. This lodge certainly is well equipped, even with washing machine and dryer!
The hot tub was a great size. My only minor issue, was that while the water may have been changed for our stay, it didn't seem like the tub had been cleaned out as well as it should have been, but this might just be me being picky. They have screened the hot tub well considering the lodges were so close together. Overall a great stay.
Leanne, Thurrock
Date of stay: 29th May 2015
The lodge is a home away from home with even a utility room !! The lodges are spacious and spotlessly clean and are in a great location with beautiful views. Would thoroughly recommend. The hot tubs are great - the staff check them everyday to ensure they are the right temperature etc. We were very impressed with the whole site.

Few small issues that we put in the feedback form at the time. Would have been great to be able to alter hot tub temperature ourselves. Internet issues but to be expected in rural areas. Shower issue to be fixed once we had left.

Other than these very minor issues. The lodge was stunning and was very comfortable. Great mini break away

This is the second time we have stayed in Cupid's Lodge - it really is very luxurious and the hot tub is fabulous - we tried to use it at least twice a day. Sitting in the tub watching and listening to the local birds was a real treat. The facilities in the lodge are second to none and having a tumble dryer is a great help in drying your swimming costume and towels ready for your next dip in the hot tub! Would highly recommend staying here and also there is he added bonus of the Tatty Bunting cafe/restaurant on site. Can't wait to go back next year!
Jo, Matlock
Date of stay: 3rd April 2015
We booked a last minute short break at Bluewood in the Easter holiday, having not stayed in a lodge before. We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of space inside our Churchill Lodge and how well equipped it was. The living/dining area was a great size for four of us and the bedrooms were fine for a short stay, with loads of storage. It was spotlessly clean and practical for a family, with everything we needed (although to be picky, washing up liquid and more than one dishwasher tablet would have been nice).

The kids loved the hot tub and we went in it every day, despite it not being that warm outside! They also loved watching the activity at the stable, and seeing the horses going past.

Bluewood is a nice small park and was extremely quiet, although I imagine in the summer when everyone is outside it would be more lively. Our only slight disappointment on arrival was the level of privacy, as we had a lodge surrounded on all sides by others. If we went back we would try and get one on the outside edge overlooking fields. For a last minute booking though, we did understand we might not get the best location. The decking and hot tub were well screened.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the takeaway pizzas from the cafe were fantastic! The location is very convenient for lots of local attractions, and is very quiet and rural. We would definately go back again.

Stayed in the Juliet Lodge and it was beautiful, everything you needed and more! The only issue we had was that the DVD player in the Living room wouldn't read any of our DVD's and within 5 minutes of calling to report the issue someone came out and replaced the player and checked all was working ok. had a meal at Tatty Buntings one night and the food was excellent and good value for money.

Date of stay: 16th March 2015
Really lovely lodge, you could see the owners took great pride in providing fantastic accommodation
The whole lodge was exceptionally clean, very spacious with a real touch of luxury.
A pair of oven gloves would have been really useful as had nothing to use to take things out the oven, had to make do with a tea towel but hey that's not a criticism just an idea.
The TV in the lounge did feel to high and we both had a stiff neck trying to watch it with the way the sofas were arranged but we had the TV in the bedroom so it wasn't too much of a problem.
Wayne, Milton Keynes
Date of stay: 13th March 2015
A couple of little things let the place down from 10/10..
The bathroom really needed some robe / towel hooks on the walls, when you are in and on hot tub / shower you can't be without some!
The mat / curtains through the patio need some attention, the mat was fixed to the floor and soaking wet when we arrived, and the curtains needed some TLC, lining was hanging off and with the location it really shouldn't have been touching the floor, where it was getting soaked.
We had a "little visitor" one night when ate our pasta and sweets in the kitchen cupboard, totally happy as we were in the country and expect this type of thing, but no evidence of any bait / preventative measures (rentokill boxes etc) in place to control the situation.
Value for money was great however, and we'd visit again / recommend to friends.

Stayed in Romeo lodge number 7 for a mon-fri breakThe lodge was lovely and cosy had everything we needed. The sunken hot tub was at the front of the lodge but well screened buy a hedge so privacy not a problem. We ate in the on site bistro a couple of times for breakfast and dinner and the food and staff were excellent also 10% discount if you're staying at Bluewood.Things to do in the local area,we will be coming back for another stay before too long.
Georgina, Mansfield
Date of stay: 2nd February 2015
I really enjoyed a long weekend in the Romeo Lodge with my partner, it was very stylish, spacious and clean. The added twinkling lights above the hot tub where a lovely touch, friendly staff and they do very nice pizzas! Plenty of shops near by such as tesco and sainsburys, if your looking for a relaxing getaway this is the place to come!

Lovely and clean, we went in January's the heating was a blessing. The hot tub was also great! The lodge had everything you would need too, very nice.
Date of stay: 26th January 2015
Lodge lovely and cosy, slightly too hot and needed windows open during night but better than being too cold !!!
Only thing I would say is hot tub could be hotter as I ve been to other lodges and found them hotter and this one I never saw checked or cleaned during our stay. I would.live to come back here again though.

Date of stay: 16th January 2015
The lodge that we stayed in (Juliet 26) excelled our expectations.Although in the centre of the park we found it very private. the lodge contained everything to make your break perfect. The hot tub outside was made private by screens and being covered it was useable when it rained.
Stephanie, Camberley

This place is so beautiful and so relaxing, hence we never moved out of the cottage for the entire stay.
Suky, East Midlands
Date of stay: 15th December 2014
The furnishings are a little dated ie. Curtains. The master bedroom was very small with little walking space around the double bed. The cupboards were difficult to access due to lack of space and the lighting was poor in the ensuite bathroom, the hot tub had debris from the tree which is inevitable though there were also polystyrene pieces too! Again poor lighting on the decking.
Date of stay: 12th December 2014
As above faultless
Date of stay: 8th December 2014
Fantastic lodge only let down by a couple of things - lumpy mattress and very wobbly tap in the toilet.
Date of stay: 8th December 2014
Excellent. Highly recommend. Will definitely be returning.

Light in hot tub didn't work (this was not a problem but thought I should mention. Also, we noticed other lodges had privacy screens by the hot tub. This would be nice

Date of stay: 24th November 2014
we was very pleased how clean everythink was, except in the main bathroom there was milldew on wall and ceiling which could just wipe off ,(this spoilt the bathroom made feel dirty) it needs a fan extractor, as the window was dripping with condensation so window sill full of water,we did keep wiping it,as such a shame as the rest of the cottage was fantastic, everythink you wish for. we wanted to book again for xmas 2015 but already booked.
Staff at reception and bar excellent very helpful and kind.Thankyou it made my dad's 70th birthday perfect and special
Natalie, Kingswinford
Date of stay: 24th November 2014
Over priced. However, was a lovely lodge and was worth the extra money for a special occasion.
Lisa, Gloucester
Date of stay: 21st November 2014
My only concern was that you were expected to use 1 white towel for both the bathroom and hot tub, which is not very hygienic. I had to buy towels.
Lynne, Wolverhampton
Date of stay: 17th November 2014
Did need more disher washer tablets being left in the lodge as i think leaving one was trying to make it go a bit far. And once one shower was on the other you could not use as it didn,t have any hot water
Alex, Chesterfield

Cottage was great for the dog but unfortunately there was no safe enclosed garden. The neighbours could walk through the garden so the hot tub wasn't very private.
Paul, Birmingham
Date of stay: 10th October 2014
The accommodation was spotless, warm and welcoming on arrival, we were so suprised at the quality, and all appliances that were availible. The Hot Tub was fab!
Date of stay: 10th October 2014
The bed in the master bedroom was a double bed and we prefer a king or super king size bed. All the furniture that was there was comfortable and this is only our preference not a criticism.
Date of stay: 10th October 2014
Romeo lodge was beautiful, very clean and very luxurious. The Hot tub and twinkling lights on the verandah was pure bliss. Myself and my partner enjoyed hours every evening in the hot tub even though it was cold wet and windy it didn't make the slightest difference it was brilliant in all weather, very clean and stayed hot. The sauna was very good too, the downside being 2 of the heater panels didn't seem too work, it didn't seem to affect the temperature thou. The sauna also had a CD player connected too it once again a great touch if it worked. The lodge is beautifully furnished and has everything you need including a dishwasher.
Rachel, Devon
Date of stay: 10th October 2014
The lodge was lovely. Nice & spacious with a very comfy bed. Good facilities. The only criticism was the slight smell of dog at floor level (we had a crawling toddler) but I guess that's just the disadvantage of allowing people to bring their dogs.
Robert, London
Date of stay: 6th October 2014
My partner and I arrived just after 4pm and our lodge was ready for us . We walked in and both of us were knocked off our feet ( I had an idea what I was getting when I booked ) but this was much better . very clean and tidy , with all the mod con's . The Hot tub was AMAZING .
Will be back .

Beautiful place to stay, Really relaxed and a great location.
The staff were extremely helpful, We had a wonderful weekend at bluebell lodges. i will most definitely be recommending and visiting again.
Date of stay: 6th October 2014
Brilliant little cottage that suited our needs. the only problem we could see was the location of it next to the stables and close to the main drive. It was ok for us as we went in October so it was dark quite early and the horses were put away. I can see it being a problem in the summer.
Chris, Caernarfon
Date of stay: 3rd October 2014
did have an issue with foul smells in the en-suite, came back in the evening and it smelled of bleach. but by the next morning the foul odour was back but no one asked any more about it.
It was advertised as having wi-fi but it was totally useless would have been a deal breaker if I would have known beforehand.

Lodge was really clean. Only downside was the mess on the decking area. It looked like a bird had nested there recently and on the floor and up the wall was a lot of bird mess. This could have been cleaned up before we arrived

Only marked down as the hot tub did not feel very private as it felt it was overlooked by the entrance and car park. Other than that it had everything that you could want.

Date of stay: 4th July 2014
This was our first stay in a cottage (as opposed to a lodge) and it was fantastic. Plenty of space, extremely comfortable for a large family (2 adults, 3 children), gardens were excellent for the children to play and for the price it was ideal for a week long stay. Cleanliness of the lodge was not 100% (one bathroom bin was unemptied from the previous stay) but on the whole it was ok. Apart from that I could not rate the place more highly, it was superb!
Dawn, Llanelli
Date of stay: 4th July 2014
A lovely lodge. Accommodation and style were not compromised because we had taken the family dog. There was plenty of space and the facilities were excellent. You could live there.
Date of stay: 30th June 2014
Beautiful, clean and modern and well looked after. The Churchill lodge was huge, more than enough room for the 6 of us. The hot tub was a massive success!
Tania, Kent
Date of stay: 30th June 2014
Inside was very clean however the decking outside could have done with a good wash and sweep.
Date of stay: 30th June 2014
Accommodation roomy and bright, perhaps the patio furniture could be upgraded.
Judy, Harrow, Middlesex
Date of stay: 30th June 2014
The Juliet Lodge was very comfortable and had everything in it you'd need for a short, or even long, stay. The only thing I would improve on is to give two sets of towels, one for the bathroom and one for the hot tub. We didn't take extra towels so had to use the same towel for the hot tub - not very pleasant!
Darren, Midsomer Norton/ Bath
Date of stay: 30th June 2014
A fabulous lodge, beautifully decorated and well kitted out! The addition of the Sauna was an extra treat.
The Juliet lodge was the perfect place for a spot of luxury and a romantic break.

Comfortable & roomy lodges.
Date of stay: 27th June 2014
Fabulous overall, lovely 4 poster, nice large living area with comfy sofas. Nice tv, dvd, and wifi included. only 2 negatives to the accommodation were the dining area didn't fit with the rest of the property, and the rooms only had windows which opened onto our neighbours garden, which was odd.
Craig, Southampton
Date of stay: 23rd June 2014
Lodge was in the shade, so even when it was hot we had no sun at back where hot tub was, fridge was damaged when arrived but got sorted next day, sheets had a dirty stain on, and cupboard with what was supposed to be in there was not, some of the knifes was blunt and not cut anything so went and brought our own

We love Bluewood lodges, it's a very attactive well run park. Perfect place to relax and absorb the outstanding surroundings. We have returned to the same lodge for past 3 years, it's private in location, and has the best views. However, with the lodge being privately owned, does not seem to have a great deal of money being invested back into it, we have seen no change in the last 3 years, and there are areas that do need improving to warrant the class and money. We will defiantly return to bluewood, but hope to try another lodge next time. The park owned lodges are very well kept and recently renovated, which falls in line with the rest of the park. The new cafe/bar/restaurant is very nice and very handy for takeaway!
Date of stay: 6th June 2014
Our lodge was spacious and clean. There was plenty of space for my 18 month to run around in living room/kitchen area and room in the other double bedroom for his travel cot.

Our only minor issue was the DVD player was dodgey but when we reported this they quickly brought a replacement over.
Christina, Kent

Most enjoyable. Would recommend it to any wanting a quiet, relaxing break.
The hot tub was magical at the end of the day.

Date of stay: 26th May 2014
Great lodge. No 17 has super location and decking with hot tub very private, unlike a few of the lodges on the site. Spacious lodge with everything that you could possibly need. Comfortable, clean and relaxing. Only two minor criticisms - decking and furniture could probably have done with a bit of TLC and although lovely, not sure if main bedroom needed the four poster as it seemed to hamper access to wardrobes. Small pickings though as loved the lodge and was very sad to leave.
Andrew, London

Easy drive to local villages and nice country walking trails nearby. The cottage was adorable.

would have been better if hot tub wasn't over looked but it is probably better in the summer when trees have leaves.
Tina, Islington, London
Date of stay: 17th March 2014
Beautifully decorated, my only discrepancy is about the bathrobe hire....which you can only get if you order with champagne?! Which costs you £105?!
Why not offer a bathrobe/disposable slipper hire? Unfair for those who don't drink. We again, had to bring bulky bathrobes which took up majority of space in our case.
Menjung, Brisbane Australia

The Norton Lodge is an amazing lodge with decor which mixed modern with a touch of classic. The spread of lodges provided a good sense of privacy.

Excellent , highly recommend
Date of stay: 17th February 2014
Great lodge and although the hot tub was working ok, it was a little tired with some of the jets not working and loose. Plus only 1 towel each and no robes to get to and from the tub it took a slight edge of the overall great experience at the lodge
Date of stay: 3rd February 2014
Twin room beds - the duvets were a little thin for the time of year (Jan), could have done with a blanket on top. Otherwise lodge was great.

Relaxation under the stars : )
We absolutely loved it! Lovely lodge, clean and had everything you needed! Looking forward to coming again!
Had a wonderful week with my husband, two daughters (12 and 14 yrs) and the dog. Accommodation was lovely and clean, comfortable and felt like home from home with dishwasher, washing machine etc. Was a great base to visit nearby villages and towns. We all loved the hot tub which was maintained daily and always lovely and hot. The site was nice and quiet without all the distractions of arcades etc. Would definitely return. Thank you.
I Booked stable lodge and wisteria cottage as there were 8 of us and the 2 join together. We absolutely loved the accommodation we left the adjoining door open so we just had a massive lodge for the weekend. The grounds of bluewood its self were stunning. Very well maintained and looked after. We also had horses right next to us which we would stroke every morning which was lovely. Accomodation had everything you need, firdge, freezer, toaster, washer and dryer etc. Staff were very welcoming and helpfu, answered any questions we had. Would definitely recommend and will be returning. May make it out new yearly get away. Thank you
Amazing holiday. Location, facilities and hot tub all perfect. Secluded and private. Beautiful views. Staff really helpful on reception too- thank you highly recommend.
Loved every minute of it, the staff we're very helpful would recommend!
We had a lovely long weekend very relaxing
Lovely week spent with the family
Excellent accommodation, well equipped. We needed the heating, which worked efficiently, as the weather was not kind. Hot tub an added bonus.
Perfect getaway, hot tub was a treat after busy days out and about.Lodge was much bigger than expected with everything we needed. Will definitely be back!
Brilliant, thanks
Great place for relaxing with the family. Superb facilities. Hot tub amazing.
Clean, comfortable lodge. Some fixtures and fittings were a little tired (bathrooms in particular) but the lodge was still good value for money. Dishwasher, washing machine & dryer were much appreciated! Our lodge (14) had it’s hot tub overlooking the beautiful countryside - fantastic

Fun Days Out near Bluewood Lodges

about 8 Miles
This has to be one of the most popular days out in Oxfordshire and is sure to appeal to nature lovers, animal lovers and keen gardeners.  Families and couples will enjoy wandering around this amazing park with a wide variety of mammals and birds to see as well as reptiles. Some of the most popular animals are the Burrowing Owl, Dexter Cow, African Pancake Tortoise and the Bar Headed Goose.  Check out their website for the latest admission costs and special offers.
about 19 Miles
Farmer Gows is a recommended attraction in the Faringdon area of Oxfordshire and will be especially suited to families with young children.  The little ones will love coming to see the farm animals including pigs, cows and lambs.  The meet the animals session takes place every day and includes handling the animals, walking the goats, feeding the pigs and cows and egg collecting.  Look out for special seasonal events throughout the year such as the Halloween Party, Lambing and children's workshops.  The latest news from the farm is that they have some Saddleback piglets and Speckledy chicks arriving shortly.
about 22 Miles
Avon Leisure Cruises offer a relaxing way to spend an afternoon exploring the beautiful river and the sites all around it. The trips have commentary to point out places of historical importance and interest and are educational as well as fun. During school holidays the area is very popular with tourists and with families and daily activities can be enjoyed.
about 24 Miles
This is an all weather attraction in Abingdon, Oxfordshire which will appeal to all ages.  The model trains are fascinating to watch and we love the model village in the Vale Scene.  The exhibits have been well thought out and it's a pleasure to wander around this museum looking at everything on offer.  You can be assured of a warm welcome from the moment you arrive and for kids and adults alike this makes a fun and educational day out.
about 26 Miles
This is a really unique attraction and certainly worth a visit in our opinion.  Established in 1995 and situated in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside this attraction will appeal to those looking for something a little different.  You can't ride the animals but you can trek alongside them and enjoy the fantastic scenery.  From farm tracks to country lanes the gentle animals will carry your rucksack for you along the way.  There are personally guided treks available all year round and you will have your own Llama for the trek.
about 26 Miles
Studley Grange Garden and Leisure Park is a fantastic attraction based in Swindon, Wiltshire.  For nature lovers and those who like to get out and explore this is the perfect day out.  It's also an all weather attraction with Butterfly World being part of the site.  Butterfly World is kept at around 85 degrees year round so this makes a perfect place to visit in all seasons. A visit to the Craft Village is also recommended where there are a wide range of handcrafted gifts.
about 30 Miles
Spetchley Park and Gardens in Worcestershire are the perfect place for a day trip all year round. During the summer months the gardens are really at their best with beautiful displays of flora and fauna. Many families choose to bring a picnic and there are several picnic tables in the grounds. The deer park is also a big hit with children as well as grown ups. The onsite tea room serves tasty sandwiches and cakes and uses local produce where possible.
about 31 Miles
Suited to families with children of all ages this is a fantastic attraction in Northamptonshire.  There are many special events held throughout the year so don't forget to check what's happening while you are staying in the region.  Some highlights include the lambing weekends and the monthly local food fayres.
about 31 Miles
From shopping to home cooked refreshments this is a wonderful day out in the pretty village of Upper Stowe.  You can enjoy amazing views over the Northamptonshire countryside and wander around the complex of stone built farm buildings.  Each building houses something different such as the Occasions Florist, Itsy Bitsy Gifts, Hayrack Gallery and Sheer Delights Lingerie.  When it's time for a rest the Barn Restaurant and Tea Room is the place to go.  There is a small selection of animals at the centre too which younger children will love.  They currently have two Kune Kune pigs, sheep, hens and ducks.  If you are looking for upmarket holiday accommodation in the Northamptonshire area then the luxury lodges at Wicksteed Park are sure to impress.
