Clean and spacious enough for 14 people. Great layout that allowed us all to spend time together. Great pub within walking distance too, and not far from Dovedale in the Peak District. I couldnt have asked for more.

Great lodge with hot tub. Cold when initially entered but once we found the boost buttons and lit the wood burning fire it became warm and cosy. Matches should have been supplied though! Little touches like soap, ice in freezer etc would have made it even more special.

Really lovely family holiday. Beautiful lodge in beautiful surroundings.

Date of stay: 21st July 2017
The lodges were clean and tidy with all the practical things you need. We did not meet any staff but everything was so well explained there were no problems.
The hot tub takes a long time to heat up so we were unable to use it on the day or night of arrival which was a shame, also a few of the jets were broken so it was a bit like being in a bath.
We have stayed at Ramshorn Estate Lodges before in 2010 and 2011 and everything was just that bit newer and shinier then, but over all we had a terrific holiday and would use the lodges again.

Great lodge. Spacious and very well equipped. Decking area and fixed bbq was great. Beds very comfy. Needs a good dust high up for cob webs but it is in the woods so expected. Kitchen had everything you could need. Good size fridge

Fantastic lodge and weekend, will definitely return!
Michelle
We had a fantastic time here for my 40th birthday. The lodges are gorgeous, with lots of space for eating and relaxing. Everything has been thought about with plenty of everything needed in the kitchen. The hot tubs are amazing and set in a lovely wood. The staff were very helpful in some changes we needed to make. Would totally recommend.
Kelly
Lovely location but missed the signpost to turn into the lodge estate. Could be better signposted. Lodge was beautiful, modern and well equipped and plenty of space for 12 people and 2 children! Only issue is that they prefer to have old fashioned kettles that you heat on the stove. When there’s 12 people wanting hot drinks it takes an awful long time! Please put in electric kettles! Location is quiet and excellent location to Alton Towers and other attractions.
Carla
It was a perfect weekend get away for my 40th Birthday.. the staff were amazing and although we had a problem with the gas at first the staff were brilliant and did everything possible to get it sorted straight away even fixing it at 10pm (way past their finishing time of 5pm). You are not bothered by the staff at all unless you need them. The hot tub was cleaned and refilled every morning. Will definitely be booking again.
Oliver
Lovely Lodges in a quiet setting
Gaynor
Had a lovely time would not hesitate in returning. Had issues with the gas bottle freezing up had to constantly keep going out to release it with hot water as it snowed the weekend we were there maybe you should insulate in some way. If I was to make any criticism it would be the little touches that make a difference like supply of toilet paper and maybe a few toiletries like hand soap. Other than that a well equipped kitchen which pleased us as like to cook.
Stephen
Hi we have just returned from our mid week break staying in Stanton Lodge at Ramshorn. I am just writing to say what a wonderful time we had there everything was far better than we had wished and hoped for. We had it as a family get together for my wife’s 60th she was over the moon with it. The hot tub was fantastic as was the accommodation. Such a lovely location we felt that we could have been anywhere in the world not just an hour away from home. We are already planning on a return visit. Thank you very much
Joanne
We had a great weekend! The lodge was very clean and plenty of space for a party of 12. The only problem we had was the temperature of the hot tub and the attitude of the man who maintains this who wasn’t helpful at all.

This is a really unique opportunity to see the fantastic work going on at this centre.  The purpose of the British Wildlife Rescue Centre is to treat and care for injured wildlife which cannot be released into the wild.  Many of the animals are brought to the centre by members of the public or the RSPCA.  Visit their website to see the picture gallery and to find out how to help if this is something which interests you.  There are also regular fundraising events such as the Sponsered Leg Wax.
