"Our Ladera Retreat Lodges review: We just got back from a four-night stay at this cottage and honestly, it was lovely. The owners were really friendly but not intrusive-just there when needed. The big fenced garden was perfect for our dog to run around. The place had everything we needed, including a BBQ one evening and the hot tub was absolutely brilliant! Wed definitely come back and already recommended it to friends. Thanks for a great break!"

"We had a really lovely stay at this place. The setting is quite private and scenic, perfect for some peace and quiet. The owners were super friendly and always there if we needed anything, but still respecting our privacy. After cycling all day, the hot tub was just what we needed - so relaxing! Only thing to note is that the cottage is directly under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us much after a while, but might be worth considering if noise is a problem. All in all, a great spot!"

"We really enjoyed our time in lodge number 1. Its quite spacious and nicely decorated. The kitchen had all the essentials-fridge, freezer, washing machine, you name it. A couple of issues, like the waterfall shower head wobbling and the hose being loose, but otherwise everything was spot on. Definitely recommend and would come back!"

"We stayed at a lovely, modern house that felt really spacious. The garden was a big plus, especially since it was gated, so the kids could run around safely. The kitchen was gorgeous, though itd be handy to have more oven trays-cooking for ten was a bit tricky with what was there. A couple of outside doors didnt lock, but given how remote the place is, it wasnt a huge problem. Thanks!"

The hot tub was just what we needed after a long day cycling around. Only thing to note is that the cottage is right under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but honestly, it didnt spoil our trip at all. Wed definitely come back!"

"We stayed at this lodge recently and had a pretty relaxing time. The semi-detached setup didnt bother us at all, since it was really quiet and private. Loved sitting on the veranda watching animals and relaxing in the hot tub - such a nice touch! Its a bit off the beaten track, but honestly, thats what makes it a perfect retreat. The site was under some construction, but it didnt impact our stay. The place was spotless and felt quite luxurious; we did ask them to restock the kitchen, so hopefully thats sorted now for future visitors. There are only four lodges for hire, so its nice and quiet. Didnt try the spa, but it looked lovely and a bit pricey. Close enough to the town and the motorway, so convenient. The bed was comfy, maybe medium firm and the shower was lovely, but watch the bath overflow - its not great if you fill it too much. Overall, a lovely getaway and wed definitely come back!"

"Overall, we had a lovely stay at the lodge; it really felt quite luxurious with nice furnishings, definitely a 5-star experience. That said, we did spot a broken chair and had to report it, which was a bit disappointing since we found out they already knew about it. It shouldve been sorted out beforeh and to avoid any risk. Still, we enjoyed our trip!"

"We had a fantastic stay at this lodge! Its really well-equipped and quite peaceful, but still close enough to explore some great spots nearby. The only thing was the check-in and check-out process felt a bit haphazard, but overall, wed definitely recommend it for a relaxing getaway."

"We stayed in Lodge No 4 which was immaculate, clean and very well laid out. Housekeeping met us on arrival and went through the property to ensure we were happy with everything. Hot tub was amazing. All in all a very relaxing retreat away from it all. Would definitely return."

"A lovely lodge. Lovely and private and lovely hot tub but I'm not sure it got cleaned during the stay. Very quiet and friendly people around. Idyllic surrounds nice grounds / lakes /animals. The lodge itself was so lovely. Lovely furnishing spacious and modern. Robes which was an added bonus. Clean and everything you would need in the lodge itself. The TV sometimes lost signal but we normally find that happens anywhere we stay. Overall a lovely break and would stay again. Less than an hour away from Manchester and other nice places to visit."

"Amazing lodges with a friendly greeting. Lovely place for them to be situated. Only a few mins drive from supermarkets and a lovely town. We had the most peaceful weekend we have ever had there! All round worth the money. The only down side was we was told we would still be able to use the hot tub on the Monday as paid extra to check out late (1pm) and we couldn’t as it was emptied and filled with water above temp for people to use it. Saying that I addressed that and was promised if we returned we would be looked after and this wouldn’t happen again. We will definitely be returning in the future :)"

"we stayed at the ladera house 14-18th March and we just wanted to say how amazing our break was. The house is absolutely gorgeous and it was equipped with everything we needed ? we had a big age differed youngest 11 months - oldest 75 but every person was so pleased it’s so idyllic. Also all the ground staff where Amazing and even the residents were really friendly. Thankyou again hopefully we will be back soon ? xx"
