Quarry Walk Lodges Reviews

"We really enjoyed our stay here! The place has a lovely vibe, perfect for a quick escape. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The lodge was spacious, though a bit on the older side - the kitchen appliances could do with an update. The sofas looked comfy but werent. The hot tub had a couple of hiccups, but nothing too serious. All in all, wed definitely come back for another go!"
Clara Hastings - Mar 2025
"The place feels a bit old-fashioned in spots, but honestly, we really enjoy it here."
Emma - Mar 2025
"This lodge is perfect for a peaceful getaway, surrounded by nature. The Jacuzzi is a real treat, though WiFi only works if you pay for it. No signal otherwise, so total relaxation! Definitely a place to unwind and enjoy the quiet."
Emma - Feb 2025
"The lodge was comfortable and well built, though the lighting could be better. We loved the location - so easy to visit loads of interesting spots nearby. The staff really made a difference, always friendly and ready to help. Overall, a great stay, thank you!"
Emma Carter - Feb 2025
"Our Quarry Walk Lodges review: We had a fantastic stay! The place was super comfy, well-equipped and surprisingly spacious. Loved the cosy vibe and the peaceful woodland setting. Only a few tiny cosmetic issues, but were sure they'll be sorted soon. Overall, really enjoyed our time there - definitely recommend!"
James - Jan 2025
"We had such a lovely stay at the lodge! Spacious and well-equipped, the hot tub was a real treat. The surrounding area is perfect for walks and the kids loved the play areas. Definitely recommend for a relaxing family getaway!"
Emily Carter - Jan 2025
"The lodge is pretty isolated, so definitely grab some WiFi when you arrive since there's no signal. Its a bit tired looking and could use some sprucing up. The mattresses were quite thin and the sofas ready for an upgrade. Everything else was okay though."
Sarah Bennett - Jan 2025
"We had a lovely stay as a family of four and it was such a nice touch to find a doggy welcome pack waiting for us. Everything really was spot on! Wed definitely come back."
Emily - Jan 2025
"We really enjoyed our stay here overall. The cabins are charming, but could definitely do with some sprucing up. The hot tub was a bit of a nightmare - it leaked and took quite a few reports to get it sorted. The kitchens and bathrooms are starting to look a bit tired, but nothing too terrible. Its a lovely spot with potential, just needs a bit of TLC. Wed probably come back, especially if they sort out those little issues!"
Emily - Jan 2025
"We had such a relaxing stay! The lodge was super cosy and well-equipped, with a lovely welcome hamper that made us feel right at home. The hot tub area was private and peaceful, with loads of birds visiting. Honestly, it was so quiet, we forgot anyone else was nearby. Loved it!"
Emma Carter - Dec 2024
"We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge, but the shower setup was a bit of a hassle. The shower door didnt quite close properly, so the floor got soaked after every shower. Still, overall, it was a lovely experience!"
Emma - Dec 2024
"Great stay, everything was spotless and exactly what we needed. Cheers!"
Emily - Dec 2024
"We recently stayed at these lodges and honestly, theyre a little slice of heaven. The hot tub under cover is great, especially when its chilly. The fire pit outside is perfect for cosy evenings. Everythings well set up and super comfy. Well be back for sure!"
Emma - Dec 2024
"Great, fun, relaxing"
Emma - Dec 2024
"We stayed just before Christmas and honestly, the lodge was stunning-so well equipped! We loved unwinding in the hot tub each evening. The meal at The Star in Cotton was brilliant, totally worth the recommendation. Well definitely return!"
Emma and Jack - Dec 2024
"Always enjoyed coming here, though the settees could do with a refresh. Still, well keep coming back, no worries!"
Emily Carter - Nov 2024
"We recently stayed at Quarry Walk for the second time, choosing Woodpecker Lodge 44. The setting is absolutely lovely, perfect for outdoor walks and exploring the area - we really do love the location. The lodge itself was clean and had all the essentials, but we couldnt help but notice the kitchen cupboards looking a bit tired - they could do with a fresh coat of paint since the edges are sharp and the dark interior isnt very inviting. The bathroom only has one light, which makes it pretty dim. We brought our two pups along; theres a decent walk around the park for them, but unfortunately, the lodge doesnt have much garden space for outdoor play. Our previous stay in Owl Garden was much better because of the outdoor garden, so we felt a little let down this time because the lodge was smaller. The hot tub was a highlight, though and overall, we really like this place. We plan to come back next year, probably staying in a lodge with a bit more outdoor space - cant wait!"
Emma - Oct 2024
"We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge; it was cosy and had everything we needed. The hot tub was such a nice touch! A few cobwebs in the bathroom and some items left in the dishwasher were minor issues, but nothing that spoiled our trip. A bit of updating wouldnt hurt and more cushions would be nice. Overall, a great experience!"
Emma - Oct 2024
"We had a lovely time, but it wouldve been better with bird feeders outside for feeding. Honestly,"
Emma Carter - Oct 2024
"We stayed here for the first time and honestly, were already talking about coming back. The cabin was spotless and really cosy and the location is perfect-quiet but easy to find. Staff were friendly, though a bit nosy at times. Definitely missing that hot tub now-such a relaxing stay! We loved it."
Emma Carter - Oct 2024
"We really enjoyed the charming, traditional wooden cabin and the hot tub was a lovely bonus! There was plenty of room and everything we needed was there, making for a comfy stay. That said, the beds were quite old and bumpy, which did affect our sleep. The sofa was a bit worn out too, could do with a refresh. Still, overall, a nice escape!"
David - Sep 2024
"We had an amazing stay! The lodge was just what we needed, with all the essentials and even some tea and coffee. The kitchen was fully equipped, which was handy and the hot tub was a real highlight. Its only about ten minutes from Alton Towers, so perfect for a day out. We arrived late, but communication was smooth and getting in was no trouble at all. Definitely recommend!"
Emma - Sep 2024
"The lodge was super comfy and warm, with all the essentials. WiFi worked smoothly, though it cost extra. Loved the hot tub and privacy screens! Great stay."
Alex - Sep 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were spotless, staff friendly and the location perfect. Kids had a blast! Definitely coming back soon, well done!"
James - Aug 2024
"Overall, we had a pretty good stay at Badger Lodge 30, despite a few minor issues. The location is great and the place is mostly well-maintained. One thing that was a bit off-putting was the vacuum cleaner - it smelled terrible every time we used it, so we had to leave the lodge airing out for about an hour to get rid of the smell. The appliances arent perfect either; the seals on the fridge/freezer were peeling, revealing some grime, so that could probably do with a fix or replacement. Also, no hot tub lid opener meant we struggled a bit lifting the lid, which wasnt ideal, especially early mornings. Beds werent the comfiest, but thats down to personal taste, really. Still, we enjoyed our stay!"
Sam - Aug 2024
"We had a great time! The night before leaving, we stumbled upon a Greek van selling gyros, which was such a lovely surprise and added a special touch to our trip. Really enjoyed it!"
Emma - Aug 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay, staff made it special."
Emma - Aug 2024
"We loved the peaceful vibe of the place, especially the private spot nestled in the trees. The lodge was well-kept and cosy and the staff were genuinely lovely. The hot tub was definitely a highlight!"
Oliver Greenfield - Aug 2024
"A very enjoyable stay within a very peaceful location."
William - Aug 2022
"Had a great holiday at quarry walk lodges, lovely place, cabin was clean and spacious, hot tub was fantastic was only a short distance to all the activities around that we had booked, only thing was not within walking distance of a local pub but we had our own entertainment at night on our private porch. Would definitely recommend if visiting alton towers, waterworld, cannock chase go ape etc"
Claire - Aug 2022
"A lovely place to relax. You don't get a WiFi or data signal here unless you walk up to reception area as its quite remote and also a signal to call on your mobile phone too. We stayed in fox Lodge 4 , no 56. The hot tub is huge and very private. Definitely recommend."
Maria - Jul 2022
"Very relaxing, total disconnection, 100% recommended"
Eric - Jul 2022
"Clean, tidy, very peaceful & relaxing, hot tub brilliant, staff on hand if needed, ticked all the boxes, will definitely book again next year."
ANDREW - Jul 2022
"Amazing trip booked for a third visit already."
Mark - Jul 2022
"This was the perfect getaway break we needed where we did not need to drive we just enjoyed the walks in and around the park. We found a nice pub for lunch and enjoyed the hot tub and relaxed the whole time. The only little thing which would have been nice if there was a tv in the bedroom as the sofa is not the comfiest for chilling out. But this is a very little thing! The lodge was clean and had everything you would need and the guy came round to show us how to use the hot tub within 20 mins of checking in. Was perfect defiantly coming back again."
Laura - Jul 2022
"Amazing customer service helpful staff and information booklet would definitely be going again"
Danny - Jul 2022
"We stayed for a week mid July and it was absolutely perfect. Very idyllic setting in the woods, 1 mile walk from a great pub nearby, lovely dog walks and four miles from Alton Towers. Was so relaxing ending each day with a hot tub. The staff were all very friendly and our son enjoyed the little play park on site. Great holiday!"
Caroline - Jul 2022
"Loved it here. So quiet, secluded and private. The road could do with levelling out lol. We had no privacy issues with the hot tub and it made our stay amazing. Couch wasn’t that comfortable though haha"
Ellis - Jul 2022
"The hot tub is amazing! Stays hot for ages and has great lights and jets. The lodge itself is clean and equipped with everything you need, including milk, shampoo, towels and all utensils and pans. The location is lovely, in the middle of nowhere yes but just what we wanted and takeaways still deliver to reception. There's no signal so paying for wifi is a must - £18 for 4 days for multiple devices which I thought was reasonable. Staff also really lovely and welcoming. Would definitely return!"
