Bowood House Gardens is a popular choice for families and is home to one of the best adventure playgrounds in the country. The beautiful parkland and waterfall are ideal for a summer stroll.
Facilities here are top class and include a small cafe serving hot drinks, cakes and snacks, a shop selling all the essentials, and a picnic area so you can make the most of the good weather during the summer months. "Nice caravan, nice furniture and large outdoor area with furniture.Has ironing board, mini iron,washing machine, clothes airer, dishwasher, a really nice super cold fridge freezer.The only problem was the spider webs and spiders(which you would expect as you are in a caravan) but the webs need to be cleaned up and also the cleanliness in the bathrooms. Toilets were grubby looking, needs a good bleach and the floors needs a good mop as my sons feet was black from walking barefoot."

Beautifully decorated, furniture was comfortable, the dining table gleaming, the kitchen spotlessly clean, good size fridge freezer, washer-dryer, plenty of cupboard space and utensils/crockery/cutlery/glassware, all neatly placed and gleaming brightly. 3 shiny bathrooms, nice sized bedrooms, windows clean and clear, bright white, crisp bedding, plump pillows, plenty of towels. 5 star all round."

"An amazing holiday! Beautiful surroundings, the lodge was perfect. Had everything we needed, was tidy and full of the essentials for cooking etc..... I could not fault the lodge at all, the Hot tub was lovely and clean, really warm. We were greeted by Ducks and Geese everyday. The park itself was lovely and clean, beautiful waterfalls and little water areas. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I would absolutely 100% come back again. The only thing that I felt disappointed me abit was the canoe people. Just showed no respect for people in their lodges. At one point they were playing with a ball in the lake right outside my lodge and I could hear shouting and screaming, swearing etc... for about 30 minutes, just wasn't nice for my 4 year old to hear. On another occasion they came right up to my decking and was smacking their canoes etc... into my decking to get past. So I would definitely come back, but probably not book a lodge on the lake again due to this."
"We had a lovely stay at the lodge, which was really spacious and peaceful. The showers worked well, though one bathroom was missing a toilet roll holder-bit annoying but no big deal. The wine cooler fridge was a nice touch! Only thing missing were bedside lamps, so reading in bed wasn't possible, not sure if its just our lodge or all. The beds werent the comfiest, but overall, we'd definitely recommend and come back!"
"We had a lovely stay at this cosy spot tucked away in a peaceful area. The owners were super friendly and helpful without being intrusive, which we really appreciated. The hot tub was such a treat after long cycling days! A small thing to note, the cottage is right under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of noise from planes. It didnt bother us after a while, but if you're sensitive to noise, you might want to keep that in mind. Overall, a great place to unwind!"

"Lakeside 1 is a lovely very modern lodge with TV in both bedrooms, good size single beds, comfortable double bed with plenty of storage, a fully equipped kitchen, excellent heating and great hot tub. There are some wooden steps up to the lodge. As it is set back from the lake, only a glimpse of the lake can be seen through the trees in winter. The site was very quiet during our visit and is in a quiet location. There are lovely walking around the lake and in the woods. Ideal for those bringing dogs. Staff were friendly and helpful."

Yes down by the lake there is building work for the new lodges so I agree with previous comments of not wanting to stay in one of the pods currently. We would 100% return."

The Roman Baths are well-preserved Roman thermae in the city of Bath. A temple was built on the site in the first decades of Roman Britain, and the bathing complex grew up around the natural hot spring over the following centuries.

Longleat is a Grade I listed stately home near Warminster in Wiltshire, and one of the finest examples of Elizabethan architecture in Britain. It was the first stately home to open to the public. The house sits in 1,000 acres of parkland landscaped by Capability Brown.

A Grade I listed abbey in the heart of Bath, known for its fan vaulting and carved west front.
Bath Abbey is a parish church of the Church of England and a former Benedictine monastery. Founded in the 7th century, it was rebuilt in the 12th and 16th centuries and restored by Sir George Gilbert Scott in the 1860s. It is one of the most significant examples of Perpendicular Gothic architecture in the West Country, and is particularly noted for its fan vaulting.
Tip: Look up at the west front sculptures of angels climbing Jacob's Ladder, then head inside for the fan vaulting.

The Westbury White Horse, also known as the Bratton White Horse, is a chalk hill figure on the escarpment of Salisbury Plain, about 1.5 miles east of Westbury in Wiltshire. It is the oldest of the county's eight white horses and measures roughly 163 ft tall and 166 ft long.

Stourhead is a National Trust estate on the Wiltshire and Somerset border, with a Palladian mansion and one of the most famous landscape gardens in England. The garden was laid out in the 18th century around a large artificial lake, with classical temples, a grotto, the Palladian Bridge and the Gothic Cottage summerhouse beside the water. Rare and exotic trees add to the setting.
Tip: Parking is by the JustPark app or on-site machines, so download the app before you arrive. National Trust members park free but must register their visit.

Walk through the largest stone circle in Britain, set within a huge henge and part of a World Heritage Site.
Avebury is one of the great marvels of prehistoric Britain. Built and altered during the Neolithic period, the henge survives as a huge circular bank and ditch that encircles part of Avebury village. Inside is the largest stone circle in Britain, originally of about 100 stones, which in turn encloses two smaller stone circles. Together with Stonehenge, it forms a World Heritage Site.
Tip: Start at the Alexander Keiller Museum to learn about the monuments before you set off. Paths can be uneven and muddy.

Bath's first public art gallery, in a Grade I listed building beside Sydney Gardens.
The Holburne is the city's first public art gallery, housed in the Grade I listed former Sydney Hotel at the end of Great Pulteney Street. The collection grew from Sir William Holburne's bequest and includes work by Gainsborough, Guardi, Stubbs, Ramsay and Zoffany, alongside silver, porcelain, maiolica, miniatures and Roman glass.
Tip: Tickets can be bought online ahead of your visit, and last admissions are half an hour before closing.
