We booked for 5 days in September and we had an amazing time. The lodge was extremely comfortable, the facilities were great as everything had been thought of, the decking area and hot tub were amazing. Will definitely be recommending this holiday to friends and family.

This was our second visit to Badger's Hollow at White Cross Bay. We love the site and the lodge is situated in a quiet cul de sac. The lodge was comfortable and well appointed and we loved the hot tub.
The only thing we picked up on was the water pressure in both bathrooms was really poor and in the kitchen too. The main shower also went cold quickly and didn't retain hot water. The lodge is beautiful though dressed very well & I would definitely stay there again, and would recommend too family and friends.
Stayed in this lodge a couple of years ago, and it didn't disappoint again last week. In fact, it looked like some things had been updated to a high standard, including one of the bedrooms. Everything in the lodge is beautifully presented, it is so clean, fresh and extremely comfortable. It's in a really nice position in the park too. Will definitely book again later in the year.

Nice stay at Badgers Hallow Lodge. Weather although was hit and miss more hit than miss. But this is the British weather after all. Everything as described. Although it does need to show and mention the kitchen area. I have mobility issues and was not expecting steps inside the Lodge. Or tbe setup of the inside. Felt isolated and away from the lounge area while in the kitchen. So for me although nice I would not be returning as I need a flat area to walk around.
The lodge was beautiful and the locationweather was fantastic during our stay. We will definitely be staying again in the future.
We had a great couple of days recently at Badgers Hollow. The lodge was clean and comfortable, the hot tub was great, although the weather was so nice we were barely in it! The key pick updrop off was super easy. Would stay again. Only issue we had was we struggled to find it at first, but that was more our fault for not stopping in at reception for a map!
Very comfortable clean lodgr woukd definitely boik again. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Downside was we tried to call maintenance who failed to answer phone and message I left which isnt great.
A return visit for us to this great lodge. Well equipped, clean and in a good location. White Cross Bay resort is in a lovely setting and well maintained. The hot tub is a nice way to relax after a day's exploring of the Lakes. We love the fact the decking is completely enclosed so we could just let the dog out without worry. Absolutely no complaints from us and we will definitely be back.
The best lodge weve stopped at in the Lake District. Very very nice. No complaints from us. We had a power cut there, Sykes were round with their maintenance team within 20mins and had it fixed and that was at 6pm. Highly recommend.
We loved our stay at badgers hollow it was an home away from home. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need the lodge was georgous and the hot tub a wonderful treat after long days exploring the lakes. We would definitely recommend to others and will be back ourselves to stay.
The lodge inside was beautiful and the decor lovely, very clean and everything you need couldn't fault it, the hot tub was great the grandchildren loved it. If there was anything that could be improved it would be the outside appearance, a touch of varnish and the decking was in need of a clean around the hot tub area was thick with leaves, I understand it's Autumn but a fresh look outside would benefit the property. Once we found the cottage and settled in we had a look around my wife took a video to send to our family she only does this if she likes what she sees, I must admit it was better than I expected. It was clean warm and as we had a long drive we settled in with some food and a wee glass of wine. The cottage has everything u would need for Ur break I would recommend the cottage for your holiday. There's a couple of things that I would like to see improved as published before we booked the WiFi isn't great so that wasn't a surprise but it is poor took my wife and hour to send a twenty second video but as we are of an age where that's not a big deal it wouldn't take away from our enjoyment. And a small thing it took us 40 minutes to find the cottage and we drove past the entrance a few times a wee sign just before that entrance would help.
Fantastic property and location and have been back to the property twice. Absolutely gutted its changed to one dog only now after having two fabulous stays with our two small dogs. Very disappointing that we wont be able to visit again
The lodge was fabulous. Cosy and clean and well maintained. Kitchen had ample utensils, pots, pans etc. The 2 bathrooms was ideal fir us as 2 couples. The location is ideal for exploring the lakes. Bus stop right outside the park is perfect. We enjoyed the hot tub for a relaxing evening , however, the jets are not good no power in them and the pump is very loud when using which made us a little conscious of disturbing the neighbours so didnt stay in it for long but still enjoyed our stay.

A Victorian neo-gothic castle with parkland, woodland walks and a shingle beach on the western shore of Windermere.
Wray Castle is a Victorian neo-gothic building on the west shore of Windermere, looked after by the National Trust. The parkland has waymarked trails that start at the front of the castle, and the lakeshore has a shingle beach with easy access to the water.
Tip: You can arrive without a car: the Windermere Lake Cruises Green Cruise calls at Wray jetty from Ambleside, and it is a short walk up to the castle and café.

Dove Cottage is the whitewashed Lakeland house on the edge of Grasmere where William Wordsworth lived with his sister Dorothy. It is a Grade I listed building that remains largely unchanged from Wordsworth's day. Visits begin with an introductory tour led by a member of the team, taking you through rooms with slate floors and oak panelling.
Tip: Entry to the cottage is at timed slots, so book ahead online to secure your tour.

Lakes Aquarium sits in the village of Lakeside on the southern shore of Windermere. It opened in 1997 and is now themed around the lakes of the world, with both freshwater and salt water animals. Displays cover the Lake District, Asia, Africa, the Americas, marine life and Morecambe Bay.
Tip: The Windermere Lake Cruises dock and the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway are both here, so you can arrive by boat or steam train.

Beatrix Potter's 17th-century farmhouse retreat, kept as she knew it, with a cottage garden and working farm.
Hill Top is the 17th-century Lakeland farmhouse in Near Sawrey that Beatrix Potter bought in 1905 as her artistic retreat, and later left to the National Trust. Inside, it is shown as she would have known it.
Tip: Book your ticket in advance if arriving by car, as the small car park is for pre-booked visitors only. Afternoons after 2.30 tend to be quieter.

A medieval Strickland family home near Kendal with a large limestone rock garden and an estate to explore.
Sizergh is a Grade I listed castle and stately home about 4 miles south of Kendal, in the Lake District National Park. The oldest part is a tower from the fourteenth or fifteenth century. Inside, you'll find oak-panelled rooms, including the Inlaid Chamber, plus Strickland family portraits and paintings linked to the Stuart court in exile.
Tip: Dogs are welcome on the wider estate, but only assistance dogs are allowed in the gardens, so plan your route accordingly.

A Grade I listed Arts & Crafts house with Windermere views, terraced gardens and a tea room.
Blackwell is a Grade I listed house above Windermere, designed by architect M H Baillie Scott as a holiday home. It keeps almost all of its original features, from the fireplace tiles, carved stone and wood panelling to stained glass, mosaic floors and the plasterwork of the White Drawing Room.
Tip: The tea room stops serving main meals at 3pm, so plan lunch accordingly.

Coniston's story told in one museum, including Donald Campbell's Bluebird K7 and the world's largest Ruskin Lace collection.
The Ruskin Museum sits in the heart of Coniston village and tells the story of the area, from Stone Age axe-makers to the speed record era of the 1950s and 60s. It was founded in 1901 as a memorial to John Ruskin, and his collection is still housed here.
Tip: The museum marks the start of the Coniston Coppermines Trail, so you can pair a visit with a walk.

John Ruskin's former home on the shore of Coniston Water, with eight gardens and woodland trails.
Brantwood is a Grade II* listed house on the eastern shore of Coniston Water, once the home of the Victorian writer, artist and social reformer John Ruskin. Today it is a museum about his life and work. You can see rooms including his study, the drawing room and the turret bedroom, along with displays of his drawings and his mineral collection.
Tip: The gardens and woodland are steep in places, so wear footwear suited to a countryside walk. The lower gardens are suitable for all.
