"A bit dated and had a very squeaky master bed, but very clean and well looked after. Upgrades were definitely ongoing in these lodges (one further down the road was in the middle of being completely stripped out) but it was great for what we needed. Also, we brought up no issues to the staff as they werent big, but I have no doubt they would have done their best to resolve if we had."

"Would be better if Osprey lodge 16 had sliding doors and decking at the rear of the lodge, at the moment it has decking and picnic table at front which is shaded for most of the day. It is also on the main walking/car route into park so lots of people walking past, some who wanted to stop and chat, not ideal if you want to sit and read."

"We had such a lovely stay at Lochgoilhead, honestly, the scenery is breathtaking and its great value for what you get. We definitely overpacked, thinking wed need all sorts of kitchen utensils and stuff, but the kitchen was fully stocked, which was a nice surprise. The bathrooms were spot-on and the bedrooms super comfy - perfect for relaxing after a day out. The lounge was really spacious but still felt cosy, which was just right.Our only real gripe was with lodge 15 being so close to the main road and reception. Sure, it was handy for quick getaways after a swim or grabbing a takeaway, but the noise in the mornings was a bit of a pain and passers-by could see straight in from the outside. Light net curtains might solve that, so you dont have to keep the main curtains drawn all the time. Another minor issue was the pet hairs left behind from previous guests. We hoovered them up, but the vacuum had an awful smell, which was a bit of a let-down. The taps on the sinks could do with a bit of an upgrade too; the hot water was scaldingly hot, though the showers were lovely.Even with these tiny niggles, they didnt ruin our holiday. Overall, it was a fantastic trip and wed definitely love to come back! The pizza from DC takeaway was absolutely delicious and the activities, especially archery, were really fun. We also spent loads of time hiking, discovering hidden waterfalls and fishing in the loch - thanks to some friendly locals tips. All in all, an unforgettable holiday!"

"We had such a lovely stay here! The location is really peaceful and private, perfect for relaxing. The owners were super friendly and gave us all the help we needed without feeling intrusive. The hot tub was a real highlight after a long day of cycling, such a treat! One thing to bear in mind is that the cottage is right under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us much once we got used to it, but if youre sensitive to noise, just a heads up. Would definitely recommend!"

"Overall, a pleasant experience. Maintenance was quick and courteous, though they needed two visits due to missing mirror and the vacuum being taken. Still, no worries!"

"We stayed at the lodge and it was pretty handy being so near the town centre. The place was really roomy and kept tidy, though a bit old-fashioned. Having three showers and a bath was great for the family and the separate fridge and freezer were just what we needed. When we asked for a tin opener and some towels, they arrived quick as anything. Definitely good value for what we paid, especially since we skipped the hot tub!"

"From the moment we arrived, we felt really welcomed. Devin and Kirsty at reception went out of their way to help us settle in; they were genuinely friendly and helpful. The caravan was spotless and had a stunning view that we couldnt get enough of. The swimming pool was a highlight-so relaxing and well-maintained. Hazel and her team were full of energy and always ready to assist, which made our stay even better. Our kids loved the activities we booked beforehand and Justin truly stood out as a star staff member-what a guy! We also appreciated the little shops selection and friendly staff. We had arranged a food delivery from Morrisons before arriving, which worked perfectly. The movie night was such a lovely touch, super chilled and fun for everyone. The location is simply perfect and the site itself was immaculate. Paige at the Rob Roy was a joy-so cheerful! We dined at The View and despite some mixed reviews online, we found the food and service spot on. Our daughter especially loved Joy-shes fantastic! Were already looking forward to next years holiday!"

"The caravan had everything we needed and was quite comfy, but it was boiling hot! Had to turn the heating off. Lovely view, though, just a bit dirty."

"We spent a week here in July with our two little dachshunds and honestly, the dogs loved it! They made loads of new friends in the charming village of Thaxted. The cottage itself is really cosy and charming and the hot tub was a lovely bonus - especially given how scorching the weather was. The water was cool enough to be refreshing, which was perfect. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming and it was nice to see their dogs taken out to the fields every day. We did notice were near the flight path from Stansted, so planes did fly overhead, but honestly, it didnt bother us much. All in all, a lovely stay and wed definitely recommend it!"

"We stayed in this lovely caravan with stunning views, which was definitely a highlight. Sadly, because of Covid, we didnt get any essentials like salt, pepper, or washing tablets. Got a sponge and dishcloth, though!"

"The lodge was clean and in a beautiful location. The staff where friendly and helpful. My young nephew really enjoyed the entertainment at night and it is the most dog friendly place I have ever been. So we all hope to come back soon!"

"Will definitely return was so much activities for my son to take part in. Surrounding views were stunning. Caravan was absolutely beautiful and spotless. Great time had by all. Had a weeks holiday and could definitely have stayed longer"

"Very friendly and informative staff all round. Beautiful surroundings, we had a hot tub and were not overlooked by anyone and the views were amazing. We complained about a dog barking constantly as he was left on his own after around 7pm till late on night. Within the hour a member of staff came to inform us this had been dealt with and thanked us for reporting it. Apart from the dog barking the remainder of the time the site was peaceful.
Reported sound was not working on TV in the living area and this was replaced the next morning."

"The overall holiday experience was very good, the venue amazing and all the staff friendly.

On our first evening we needed further information regarding our bungalow but reception was not open.This was a Saturday so I presume a lot of people had booked in that day, there were other people at the desk looking for staff at the same time as me (approx 7pm). I would suggest a later time for popular book in days or at least put a notice up so people know they have gone home."
