"We stayed at this place recently and honestly, it was fantastic. The house has everything you could need and was super cosy, especially on that rainy December day. The bath was really lovely and the shower was spacious too. The locations great, especially if your dog hates fireworks - its so quiet out here! Plus, despite being near a flight path, we werent bothered at all. Thanks a lot!"

The buildings history is preserved beautifully and the peaceful setting in Essex is perfect for relaxing. We enjoyed exploring Thaxted and the nearby villages - so much charm and history there. Goddard's Mead has everything we needed for a comfy stay. Definitely recommend taking some time to wander around and soak it all in!"

"We had a really lovely stay at this place. The setting is so peaceful and private, perfect for relaxing. The owners were super friendly and always on hand if we needed anything, but the area still felt secluded. The hot tub was a real highlight after a long cycle day. A little heads up though: it's directly under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of noise from planes. It didnt bother us much once we got used to it, but if youre sensitive to noise, its worth knowing. Overall, a great spot!"

"We stayed here recently and found the location really handy, close to loads of good places to eat. We mainly just grabbed breakfast at the accommodation and then went out for the rest of the day. The hot tub was a nice touch, plus there was a big indoor and outdoor dining area if we needed it. The only downsides were no microwave or washing machine, which was a bit annoying. It was a bit pricey too, especially since check-in was only from 5pm, though they let us in a little earlier. We had to leave by 9am on the last day because of Covid restrictions. Parking was plentiful and we left the cars there while grabbing breakfast at a nearby cafe. Overall, a good spot and wed recommend both the place and the area."
