"We've stayed at this park quite a few times over the years, so we know it pretty well. Its a lovely spot and we usually enjoy our visits. However, this time, things didnt start off great. Our room door was wide open when we arrived, which was a bit of a shock and definitely poor form. The real issue was the missing cot bed - we called reception and they said itd be there in 15 minutes. An hour later, still nothing. When we tried to follow up, we found reception closed, so we had to hunt down a staff member ourselves to sort it out. We paid for that cot, so it was pretty frustrating to have to chase after it. Aside from that, the site itself remains as lovely as ever, but honestly, the false promises from reception left a sour taste. Not what we expected this time around."

"We stayed at the Ocean Breeze 3-bed villa and honestly, it was a pretty solid choice for our trip. The place was spotlessly clean and surprisingly spacious, which was a relief with the kids. When we arrived, the beds were already made and there were towels waiting for us, so we could settle in straight away. The only thing to note is that it was labelled as a "pets welcome" villa, but youd never guess pets had been there - it was spotless, no smell or fur. The complex itself is huge and packed with stuff to do. We enjoyed indoor and outdoor swimming; the outdoor pool was a bit on the chilly side but still nice to cool off. Just a heads-up, the "heated" feature isnt exactly toasty, so dont expect a hot spa! Getting there early to grab tickets for the outdoor pool is a must because they go quickly. The amusements were a good laugh and the cinema looked modern and comfy. The wave surfing was a real highlight - booked our slot right after arriving since they fill up fast. The Old Mill pub was charming, with quick service and a nice childrens play area, which kept the little ones happy. The onsite shop was well-stocked with souvenirs, toys and essentials, but be prepared - theres no toilet roll or bin bags provided, nor any washing or drying packs for the kitchen. We had to bring our own or buy them there. Our accommodation had a slimline dishwasher and washing machine, but again, youll need to bring your own dishwasher tablets and laundry detergent. No salt or pepper either - luckily we had some McDonalds sachets in the car! The only real letdown was the Wi-Fi situation. The description said Wi-Fi free of charge, but the smart TV didnt connect, so no Prime Video or Netflix. When we asked reception, they told us Wi-Fi isnt included in the villas, only in the main complex. We were a bit annoyed because the TVs seemed smart, but apparently, they only have smart TVs in the newer models. So, dont expect to stream in your accommodation. We just played board games with the kids after dinner since many Freeview channels werent suitable. As for exploring North Devon, the locations great. We visited Woolacombe, Ilfracombe, Lynton & Lynmouth, National Exmoor Park, Barnstaple - all within an hours drive. We even tried the bus one day, which was fun and easy to plan ahead for. All in all, wed definitely recommend it - perfect for a family getaway. Just be prepared for the basics and youll have a lovely time!"

"We’ve just had a fabulous week in the Golden Coast holiday village, the activities for the kids are amazing, the high ropes/climbing wall, outdoor heated pool were fantastic, we will be returning. The only thing I would mention is that there is 1 queue for food and drink, which can take 20 minutes to get from the back to the front..and the connection for contactless payment needs speeding up.. apart from that, the staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful, just need more of them, or a different system at the bar."
