"A lovely weekend away, plenty of things to do and see, grandkids loved it x"

"Accommodation was very comfortable with ample room for 6 people.Had an issue with the bathroom fan not working but this was rectified very quickly by on site staff.Would definitely come back."

"We stayed in the Ocean Breeze Villa 3 with Hot tub at Golden coast Holiday park. Staff were very friendly and the Villa was very comfortable, we loved the hot Tub. We loved the Indoor pool very spacious with a Sauna. The main outdoor Pool you have to book for an Hour and it is quite regimented with being called out 10 minutes earlier to get changed. The bowling was very expensive with it was £7.50 per person, so it cost us £30 for a family of four for one game and the Pool Game is £2. Nisa local and eating out is also expensive at Golden Coast Holiday park although the food was good. The menu could do with having more Vegetarian and Gluten free options. I think with the cost of living crisis at the moment we do feel the park need to review there charges for all the extras, if they did this we would be tempted to come back as it is a lovely park and not too Crowded."

"We stayed in a 4 berth caravan, it was quite spacious, it was clean, and everything you'd expect. Could have done with a couple of extra items like a dust pan and brush and a iron but we did ask to borrow a hoover to which they accommodated us which was brilliant. It's quite a walk to the club house from cleavewood and pretty steep hills but the kids found the walk fun. There were some wear and tears in the caravan but due to it being a pets welcome caravan that's to be expected but overall it was fine."

"Well equipped villa. Dog friendly. Needed to get in the car to get out for proper dog walking, as main road around site does not have footpath, but adequate on site for a little necessary exercise and plenty of waste bins."

"Unfortunately we were next door to a family who left their dog for up to six hours at a time on its own, it did nothing but bark and howl for hours on end. I reported it twice to the reception team but nothing was done about it, the barking and howling continued for the full seven days we were there. The bar/cafe was also dog friendly and dogs were barking at each other constantly making any conversation impossible. We brought our two dogs with us but they were never left on their own and when in the bar/cafe they were quiet. No staff member did anything to ask the owners to quiet their dogs or remove them for causing such a disruption. I left the park more stressed than when I arrived, so much for a relaxing break! I feel like I completely wasted nearly £500 of my money as it was not a holiday for me, just a very stressful time, owners also had their dogs off lead despite notices but staff did not say anything despite them walking past these dogs off lead, which isnt fair on those who were."

"We had such a lovely stay! The owners are genuinely friendly and went out of their way to make us comfortable. The cottage itself is adorable, with that charming half-timbered look and a great shower thats perfect after a day out. The cosy kitchen and comfy bed made it feel like home. Plus, parking right next to the cottage was super convenient. Its well heated, spotless and perfect for exploring Thaxteds beautiful walks and windmill. Wed definitely return!"

"Accommodation was really good and clean. Could do with tv's in the bedrooms though. Heating wasn't working so cold during the morning. Did notify the maintenance men but no change."

"We had to switch places after just one night because of this relentless noise that went off every hour-kept us awake all night, which was a nightmare. Luckily, the staff were really helpful and quickly sorted us out, moving us to a much quieter spot. The new villa was fantastic and definitely made up for the rough start. Overall, pretty good experience!"

"We had a fantastic stay! The house was super well equipped and really cosy, perfect for a rainy December day. The bath was great and the shower was quite spacious. The location is in the middle of nowhere, which was perfect for our dogs who hate fireworks-no bother at all. The house is beautifully converted and really charming. Thanks a lot for a lovely break!"

"We had such a lovely stay at this cosy place tucked away in a really peaceful spot. The owners were super friendly and always happy to help if needed, but it still felt private and quiet. The hot tub was a real highlight after a long day cycling around the area! One thing to note, the cottage is right under the flight path of Stansted, so aircraft noise is quite noticeable. It took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but honestly, it didnt spoil our trip at all. Would definitely recommend!"

"Great lodge. Was a bonus there was a dvd player. Heating was effective. Shower good strength. Nice to have some essentials in a welcome pack like washing up soap, kitchen towel, milk sachets."

"The villa was lovely and tidy, with a nice layout and great view. Bedrooms were spacious, though an extra baking tray for oven chips wouldve been handy!"

"We've stayed at this park quite a few times over the years, so we know it pretty well. Its a lovely spot and we usually enjoy our visits. However, this time, things didnt start off great. Our room door was wide open when we arrived, which was a bit of a shock and definitely poor form. The real issue was the missing cot bed - we called reception and they said itd be there in 15 minutes. An hour later, still nothing. When we tried to follow up, we found reception closed, so we had to hunt down a staff member ourselves to sort it out. We paid for that cot, so it was pretty frustrating to have to chase after it. Aside from that, the site itself remains as lovely as ever, but honestly, the false promises from reception left a sour taste. Not what we expected this time around."

"We’ve just had a fabulous week in the Golden Coast holiday village, the activities for the kids are amazing, the high ropes/climbing wall, outdoor heated pool were fantastic, we will be returning.

The only thing I would mention is that there is 1 queue for food and drink, which can take 20 minutes to get from the back to the front..and the connection for contactless payment needs speeding up.. apart from that, the staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful, just need more of them, or a different system at the bar."

"This is a wonderful place where everything is perfect, lovely feel to the place , very well organised and there is nothing missing the staff are so professional nothing is too much trouble , from the first step onto the park it is super welcome , the caravan was great and so clean we would like to say thank you for such a wonderful time, keep the good work up . "Holiday with grandchildren 2 teenagers and an 8 year old , plenty to do for both ages easy access for different beaches feel we didn't make the most of the holiday camp would have been better if the 2nd indoor pool had been open as we were quite away from the main hub however beautiful setting"
