"Amazing lodge, nothing bad to say!"

"Amazing week stay at Lakeview Manor lodges. The lodge was fantastic. It was spotlessly clean, had all the utilities and utensils needed. We particularly liked the hot tub and the view of the lake and surrounding hills. Plenty of space to exercise the dogs and close to the coast, less than 15 miles from Sidmouth. I highly recommend Beer beach which is quaint and unspoilt and has a few decent pubs. The pub onsite was also a welcome surprise and served good food and beer. Would definitely come back. Also added bonus of commercial spitfire flights from the airfield in Dunkeswell. Wow"

"We had a lovely stay at this good place! The location is so peaceful and private, just what we needed. The owners were super friendly and always available if we needed anything, but they respected our privacy completely. The hot tub was a real highlight after a long day of cycling, really relaxing. Just a heads up, the cottage is right under Stansted's flight path, so there's quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didn't bother us much after a while, but if you're sensitive to noise, keep that in mind. Overall, a great find!"

"The lodge was spotless and set in beautiful surroundings, really peaceful. The staff? Absolutely lovely and always ready to help. We enjoyed the restaurant, too-really nice food and a cosy vibe. Definitely a place wed visit again; the staff made us feel so welcome, it was great!"

"We had such a lovely weekend at these cabins! The scenery is stunning, really peaceful and perfect for a girls' getaway. The cabins are well-equipped and feel really cosy, with everything you might need. The staff were super friendly and helpful throughout our stay. What stood out most was how fresh everything smelled-like they really pay attention to detail. My only small gripe is about the cleanliness on the sofas; we did notice some dog hairs, which suggests previous guests might have had dogs. Maybe adding a sign asking guests to cover the furniture or using steam cleaners would help. Still, overall, a really great experience-would definitely come back!"

"We had such a lovely stay in this charming little place. The privacy was perfect, nestled in a peaceful spot, yet the owners were really friendly and available if we needed anything. The hot tub was a real treat after a long day of cycling - absolutely loved it! A heads up though, the cottage sits right under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us much once we got used to it, but if youre sensitive to noise, its worth knowing. Overall, a great find!"

"The lodge was very spacious and had everything we needed. The extra touch of dog treats and a ball on arrival is a lovely touch. Loved the welcome pack with milk, washing up liquid, tea, coffee etc. plenty of towels and robes for the hot tub.The lodge was generally clean, there were a few dust/dog hair balls that came our from underneath the sofa, lots of cobwebs in the bedrooms and some hair and dust on the floor in the bathrooms. Restaurant on site very good, we had an evening meal here and Sunday lunch which were both good.The only thing I would say is the path/road from the lodge's we were in, down to the restaurant was not particularly well lit at night. Overall had a good stay and would definitely return."

"We just got back from a four-night stay at this cosy cottage and honestly, it was lovely. The owners are super friendly but not pushy, which we appreciated. The fenced garden was perfect for our dog and the place had everything we needed - totally kitted out. We even enjoyed a BBQ one evening and the hot tub was just brilliant! Were already telling friends to check it out. Thanks for a great break!"

"Overall, our stay was quite enjoyable, though there were a few things that could be improved. The lodge was clean and comfy, especially that big sofa which made movie nights perfect! However, we did notice quite a bit of dust inside the lamp shades, which was a bit disappointing given the price. Also, a few kitchen essentials were missing and it wouldve been nice to have bigger glasses for the adults. Still, it didnt ruin our holiday and we had a fantastic time!"

The owners were genuinely friendly and always ready to help, yet kept things private enough for a peaceful getaway. The hot tub was a real treat after a long day of cycling. Only thing to note is that the cottages right under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. We got used to it pretty quickly and it didnt ruin our break at all. "Just had a 5 day break here, which was very clean, spacious and comfortable. We had no pets but a 3.5 year old, who settled really quickly and loved her room. The staff were so helpful, especially Sarah, who my daughter is still asking to see again.
We wanted a quiet break, so no phone signal was perfect, good (secure) wifi if required and the Dabbling Duck was a god send after a full day
The cabin was fully stocked with everything you need and was extremely clean, with loads of storage space.

"Probably one of the best accommodations I have ever stayed in. The lodge was so beautiful - every little thing was catered for - even down to a torch for those late night walks to the great bar and restaurant. We stayed in a Brook View lodge - not so much a view as a sound - but very relaxing and secluded. The hot tub was amazing - and fluffy robes were provided too. I could have easily stayed for a month!"

"Very relaxing and great setting, bar, and staff. The only downside for us was the late check-in and early check-out times, as this effectively cuts an entire day off the holiday. We appreciate that the hot tub etc. requires maintenance, but a more typical 3pm check-in and 10/11am check-out would be much more convenient."

"Beautiful setting, very peaceful. Lodge was comfortable and well stocked kitchen, lots of crockery and backing trays bit like being at home. Only thing is you need to drive as 25 minutes away from Honiton and 30 minutes to Sidmouth"
