"An amazing stay. The view from the front was breathtaking. The property was well equipped and really comfortable. The only improvement I could suggest would be black out blinds in the triple bedroom and downstairs bedroom. During our stay, the hot tub wasnt working properly. I messaged the owner and it was sorted in less than 12 hours. Amazing.It really was a peaceful and relaxing stay - just what we needed! Would definitely recommend!"

"We spent a lovely weekend at the cottage celebrating a special birthday, staying for three nights over the bank holiday. The layout was spot on and everything was spotless-really well looked after. The location was perfect, with stunning views and just a quick 5-minute drive into Bala for shops and essentials. We also enjoyed a 20-minute walk to the local pub, which served delicious food. Overall, a brilliant break that everyone enjoyed!"

"We absolutely loved staying here! The location is stunning and really peaceful, perfect for a relaxing break. The house was super comfy, especially for our little ones (ages 3 and 6). We did have a slight hiccup with the hot tub on our first night because it was cold after a water change, but honestly, it made us feel better knowing it was fresh for us. Great spot for families and couples alike!"

"We had a lovely stay at Y Beudy, though finding it the first time was a bit tricky, especially in the dark, but eventually we managed. The location is great-close enough to the town centre and only about half an hour to Barmouth, which is perfect for days out. The hot tub was fantastic, with stunning views, although the deck gets quite slippery when wet, so a bit of caution is needed. The only real downside was the mattress; it was quite firm, almost like sleeping on a board, so a bit more cushioning would be nice-though some might prefer a firmer feel. One thing to remember is the hob is induction, so if you're bringing your own pans, double-check they work. Wed definitely return!"

"We recently spent four nights at this cosy getaway in August 2017 and honestly, it was just what we needed. The location is unbeatable-waking up to stunning views of the Aran Mountains through the upstairs patio doors was a real highlight. Who needs a TV when youve got scenery like that? The scenery around the cottage is just breathtaking, with such peaceful surroundings, perfect for a quiet break. We loved exploring the local area; Bala Lake is only a short drive away and its such a lovely spot. We even got to try out canoeing there, which was a lot of fun. The town of Bala itself is charming, with plenty of shops and pubs-we definitely didnt run out of things to do.The cottage itself was really well equipped. The living space upstairs was modern and bright, with the bedrooms downstairs being just as comfy as youd hope. The beds were super cosy and there was plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, so we didnt feel cramped at all. Having two TVs in the bedrooms was a nice touch for winding down after busy days. The kitchen was fully stocked-large fridge freezer, dishwasher, plenty of cutlery-and it was great to have a washing machine and outdoor drying line too, very handy after a day at the lake. We appreciated the little touches like a collection of DVDs and games, which kept us entertained on quieter evenings.The bathroom doors are a tiny niggle-both bedrooms have doors leading into the bathroom, but they are quite noisy to open and close, which might be a problem if youre a light sleeper. Still, its a minor point in what was otherwise a lovely stay. The hot tub was a real treat, though it would be even better with some kind of shelter so you could enjoy it rain or shine. The enclosed garden was perfect for the kids and the BBQ was a nice bonus for evening meals outside.We also got to meet the owners briefly-theyre genuinely friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome. The animals visiting the garden added a bit of fun; we had some cheeky chickens and even the neighbours dogs popping by, which my 10-year-old thought was hilarious. Parking was straightforward and we managed to pack quite a bit into our four days.One of our favourite adventures was driving through Snowdonia National Park, following the instructions in the welcome book. The scenery was just incredible-almost every bend revealed another picture-perfect view. It ended up being a six-hour trip of awe and wonder-absolutely stunning for any photographer or nature lover. We also took a trip to Fairbourne, which is only about half an hour away and explored the Blue Lake, an old quarry with turquoise waters that looks amazing in the sunshine. That little adventure was totally worth it.On our last day, we decided to visit Snowdon itself. Driving through the landscape was lovely and we opted for the Mountain Railway instead of hiking, which was a fantastic experience, albeit a bit pricey for a big family. Still, worth it for the views and the fun of the train ride.We cant help but feel our love for Wales has grown even more with each visit and staying here really added to that. Honestly, if it were possible, wed move in permanently! Its just that kind of special place-peaceful, beautiful and full of memorable moments. Well definitely be back!"

"Wonderful cottage & stunning location.
6 adults & two toddlers under 2. I would say that although the children always had full supervision, the cottage isn’t as child friendly as I thought. The doors being the main issue, some of them don’t close properly or come open with the wind. That said, we managed it by moving furniture when needed.
The cottage is huge & has 4 bathrooms. The location is perfect & a short drive to Bala & Barmouth beach.
We would definitely book again. The only thing I think could be improved is the cleaning. I feel like it needs a deep clean. We found a lot of dust & cobwebs & mould in one of the bathrooms. We do appreciate however that the lovely owner, let us check in at 2pm rather than 4 so this may have shortened cleaning time."

"Couldn’t have booked better the cottages are amazing and the owners are lovely, would 100% recommend this place. The location is convenient being located near Bala and only an hours drive from most attractions. There’s so much to do that we will have to come back again next year."
