"We had a lovely stay at Goddard's Mead! Rob and Sharon really put a lot of effort into restoring the historic building and it shows. They couldnt have been more welcoming, along with Bonnie, of course. The place has everything you need to unwind comfortably. Plus, the location is perfect-great for exploring Thaxted and nearby villages with their charming history and beautiful buildings. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway!"

"The lodge was absolutely stunning, super tidy and had everything we needed for a chilled-out getaway. The welcoming hamper was a lovely touch when we arrived. The scenery around us was breathtaking and the staff couldnt have been more helpful or friendly. The hot tub and log fire made it even better. Well definitely be back!"

"We really enjoyed our stay here! The place has everything you could ask for and then some. Everything feels fresh and modern, which was lovely. The hot tub was a real highlight and the big bath was a bonus. The interior design is stylish and small touches like salt, pepper and extra dishwasher tablets made it feel extra thoughtful. Wed definitely come back without hesitation. The only thing was the WiFi wasnt working, but at least the TV was connected to another, so we still had some entertainment. Overall, a great spot!"

"We just got back from a really nice four-night stay at this cottage. The owners were super friendly and helpful without being intrusive, which was perfect. The big fenced garden was great for our dog to run around safely. The place had everything we needed - the kitchen was fully equipped and the hot tub was absolutely brilliant! We even used the BBQ one evening. Wed definitely come back and already recommended it to friends. Thanks for a lovely stay!"

"This place was fantastic for a cosy winter break. Its really well kitted out and we loved how warm and comfy it was - perfect for a rainy December day. The bath was lovely and the shower was great too. The locations brilliant if youve got dogs that dislike fireworks, since its so remote. And honestly, hearing planes overhead didnt bother us at all. Thanks a lot!"

"We had a really lovely stay at this cottage, which is nestled on a working farm but feels surprisingly private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are genuinely lovely people and made us feel very welcome. The place itself is huge with a well-equipped kitchen and bathroom and the bed was super comfy. The garden is perfect for dogs-completely secluded and nicely furnished. There are plenty of nice walks nearby and we enjoyed dining out in Thaxted; The Star and The Maypole are great spots. All in all, a really recommendable place!"

"We had a wonderful stay at this charming spot tucked away in a peaceful setting. The hosts were genuinely friendly and always ready to help if needed, yet they kept a respectful distance to maintain our privacy. The hot tub was a real treat after a long day out cycling. A little thing to note, the cottage sits right under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of noise from the planes. It took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but honestly, it didnt ruin our break at all. Would definitely recommend!"
