"Our Bowland Escapes review: We really enjoyed our stay here! The place has everything you could ask for and then some. Everything feels fresh and modern, which was lovely. The hot tub was a real highlight and the big bath was a bonus. The interior design is stylish and small touches like salt, pepper and extra dishwasher tablets made it feel extra thoughtful. Wed definitely come back without hesitation. The only thing was the WiFi wasnt working, but at least the TV was connected to another, so we still had some entertainment. Overall, a great spot!"

The biggest issue was the air fresheners-they were plugged in and even after we hid them away, the smell lingered all week. Not ideal if youre sensitive to scents!"

The bath was lovely and the shower was great too. The locations brilliant if youve got dogs that dislike fireworks, since its so remote. And honestly, hearing planes overhead didnt bother us at all. "We had a wonderful stay at this charming spot tucked away in a peaceful setting. The hosts were genuinely friendly and always ready to help if needed, yet they kept a respectful distance to maintain our privacy. The hot tub was a real treat after a long day out cycling. A little thing to note, the cottage sits right under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of noise from the planes. It took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but honestly, it didnt ruin our break at all. Would definitely recommend!"

"We had a really lovely stay at this cottage, which is nestled on a working farm but feels surprisingly private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are genuinely lovely people and made us feel very welcome. The place itself is huge with a well-equipped kitchen and bathroom and the bed was super comfy. The garden is perfect for dogs-completely secluded and nicely furnished. There are plenty of nice walks nearby and we enjoyed dining out in Thaxted; The Star and The Maypole are great spots. All in all, a really recommendable place!"
