"The lodge was perfect for us-spacious, spotless and really met all our needs, couldnt ask for more."

"We just got back from a lovely week at Goddards Mead. The cottage was spot-on, fully kitted out with everything we needed. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming. Despite being on a working farm, it felt like a peaceful retreat. We loved it!"

"We needed a dog-friendly getaway and it was just what we hoped for. Lovely spacious place, plenty of nearby pubs and eateries and endless fields for walks. Our dog loved every minute and didnt want to leave!"

"Really enjoyed the walk, the place was charming and the dogs had such a good time too."

"This place is a real gem! We loved the tranquil vibe and the hot tub was a real highlight. The house is well equipped and the owners are lovely. Perfect spot if you need a peaceful escape. Highly recommend!"

"Really enjoyed our stay here. The place was super peaceful and clean. Hosts were so friendly and helpful. The hot tub was a highlight for sure!"

"Really enjoyed our stay, it was lovely!"

"We stayed in this caravan recently and honestly, it had everything we needed. It was spotless and super comfy. If youre bringing a dog, definitely bring some throws for the bed and couches because all the light colours are a bit prone to mud and grass stains. The only downside was no Freeview player-just standard live channels. Nice touch with the welcome pack too."

"The owners really did think of everything. We had such a relaxing stay and absolutely recommend it to friends!"

"Overall, we enjoyed our stay but a few things could be better. The scissors provided are useless-they couldnt cut anything! Also, the main bedroom and living room lamps are way too bright or too dark, making it tricky to get comfy in the evening. Still, it was a decent place to stay."

"We spent a week here from 15th to 22nd July with our two mini dachshunds and they absolutely loved it! They made friends in the lovely village of Thaxted, which was a real bonus. The cottage itself is charming and the hot tub was a real treat, especially during the hotest days of the year - it was nice to cool off. The hosts were really friendly and welcoming and it was lovely to see their horses being taken out each day. Being near Stansteds flight path was interesting, watching planes come in. Would definitely recommend!"

"We loved this cosy little cottage! Its perfectly tucked away for peace, but still super close to local shops and eateries. The hot tub and underfloor heating in the bathroom were real treats. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie made us feel so welcome. Cant wait to return!"

"We had a lovely stay at this cosy cottage tucked away on a working farm, yet it felt surprisingly private. Robert and Sharon are genuinely warm hosts and made us feel really welcome. The place itself is super spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed that we didnt want to leave. The gardens perfect for dogs, totally secluded and with nice furniture. Loads of walks nearby and Thaxteds got some great spots to eat - The Star and The Maypole are our favourites. Wed definitely recommend it!"

"Really enjoyed the lovely setting, especially walking around all the fields with our dogs. Great day!"

"We really enjoyed our stay at Goddard Mead. The cottage had everything we needed and the walks right outside were perfect. The hosts were super friendly and made us feel really welcome. Lovely place!"

"We had a lovely stay at this cosy little spot, tucked away in a quiet, private area. The owners were super friendly and always happy to help if we needed anything, but it still felt like our own little retreat. The hot tub was such a treat after a long day of cycling, really relaxing! One thing to keep in mind is that the cottage is quite close to Stansted's flight path, so theres quite a bit of plane noise. It didnt bother us much after a while, but if you're sensitive to noise, its worth noting. Overall, a great find!"

"Really enjoyed our stay, would definitely come back again."

"Really enjoyed our stay! The caravan was spotless and new, with quality fittings. The outdoor deck was great."
