Appletree Holiday Park Reviews

"We really enjoyed the caravan! Plenty of space, lovely clean and great extras like WIFI and Bluetooth speakers. Bedding was included, which was handy."
Emma - Feb 2025
"Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The place was great, just a shame about the sofa bed in the lounge."
Emma Carter - Jan 2025
"We had such a lovely, relaxing weekend, everyone enjoyed it loads!"
Ellie - Jan 2025
"Really enjoyed our stay, the lodges were spotless and comfy."
Emma - Dec 2024
"Our Appletree Holiday Park review: Honestly, we didnt have high hopes but were still disappointed. The lodge was pretty tired-looking, with filthy carpets and sofas that clearly hadnt been cleaned in ages. The beds were comfy enough and the showers were okay, but nothing special. We were really looking forward to the hot tub, especially on that first night-it was lovely! Unfortunately, it rained the next day, so we couldnt use it since theres no shelter. The TV in the bedroom was hit and miss and there was no tumble dryer like advertised, which was a bit of a pain. The park itself was pretty boring; the small play area for kids had no swings or slides and the little fun room on site was dull for older kids. We ended up driving to Skegness beach-about 55 minutes away-which turned out to be the best part of the trip. Oh and we werent told about the wild animals running around, like bobcats and deer, which caught us off guard!"
Ellie - Dec 2024
"The lodge was perfect for us-spacious, spotless and really met all our needs, couldnt ask for more."
Rachel - Nov 2024
"Disappointed with the overall quality of stay."
Emma Carter - Oct 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay, it was lovely!"
Elaine - Apr 2024
"We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge, the place was spacious and set in lovely surroundings. Its perfect for groups, but a bigger pan would have made cooking for ten much easier. Some clear instructions for the cooker and microwave would be handy too. We did notice the sofas could do with a deep clean - the cream fabric shows dirt quite easily. A welcome pack with local tips and eateries would be a nice touch. Overall, a comfy stay with friendly staff, just a few small tweaks could make it even better!"
Emma Roberts - Apr 2024
"We stayed in this caravan recently and honestly, it had everything we needed. It was spotless and super comfy. If youre bringing a dog, definitely bring some throws for the bed and couches because all the light colours are a bit prone to mud and grass stains. The only downside was no Freeview player-just standard live channels. Nice touch with the welcome pack too."
Olivia - Mar 2024
"Honestly, we had a fantastic time at Appletree! The lodge was perfect for our group, though the hot tub was a bit on the small side - only enough space for four, even though the lodge sleeps ten. Still, overall, a brilliant stay and wed definitely come back and recommend it to friends!"
Emma Carter - Mar 2024
"We really enjoyed our stay! The lodge was cosy and well-kept, with plenty of plug sockets and USB ports which was super handy. The hot tub was a highlight-so relaxing and clean. Beds and sofas were comfy, making it a great getaway."
Emma - Feb 2024
"We stayed in this caravan recently and it was such a pleasant experience. The place felt really roomy, with plush furnishings that made us feel right at home. Everything was spotless when we arrived and the welcome pack with washing up essentials was a nice touch. Plus, the pet welcome pack was perfect for our dog. The sofa was super comfy and despite the narrow twin beds, it was great for four adults. Definitely recommend!"
Emma Clarke - Feb 2024
"We had a lovely weekend away! Plenty of space for four adults and three kids, beds were super comfy and everything was spotless."
Emma Carter - Feb 2024
"Wow, we had such a fantastic time at this holiday park! Honestly, the reviews really helped us decide and Im glad we listened because everything was just as good as people said. When we arrived, there were a few spiders and cobwebs, mostly around the ceilings of the caravans, but we figured thats just the woodland setting were in. Once the central heating was on, those little critters disappeared, so no worries there. The caravans themselves are brand new and Id give the cleanliness and size a solid 10/10 - theyre spacious enough for all of us. There was plenty of crockery, cutlery, glasses and pots, though a couple of items needed a quick wash before use, which were used to when away. Minor hiccups included a towel missing from one of the three caravans, but it was sorted in about 15 minutes after we mentioned it at reception. One of the central heating units broke down, but an engineer arrived swiftly - in less than two hours - and though it couldnt be fixed, we were moved to a nicer, slightly larger caravan without any fuss. The only odd thing was bedroom three, which is tiny - you sort of have to walk sideways! But honestly, these little issues didnt spoil our trip at all. We visited out of season, so many activities were closed, but the scenery was simply stunning. Thanks to Apple Tree Holiday Park for a lovely stay - well definitely be back!"
Emma Clarke - Nov 2023
"Nice place, would recommend"
Emma Carter - Nov 2023
"Overall, we enjoyed our stay but a few things could be better. The scissors provided are useless-they couldnt cut anything! Also, the main bedroom and living room lamps are way too bright or too dark, making it tricky to get comfy in the evening. Still, it was a decent place to stay."
Sarah H. - Nov 2023
"Really enjoyed our stay! The caravan was spotless and new, with quality fittings. The outdoor deck was great."
Sam - May 2022
"We just got back from a lovely week at Goddards Mead. The cottage was spot-on, fully kitted out with everything we needed. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming. Despite being on a working farm, it felt like a peaceful retreat. We loved it!"
Emily - May 2025
"We had a fantastic stay at this cosy little cottage! It really is a gem, fully equipped with everything we could possibly need, so we didnt have to pack much. The welcome pack was spot on, packed with useful info and menus - such a thoughtful touch. The owners, Sharon and Rob, were quick to reply whenever we had questions. Our dogs loved the enclosed garden and the hot tub was the cherry on top. Thanks for a lovely break, well definitely be back!"
Emily - May 2025
"Really enjoyed our stay, the cottage had everything needed."

Attractions Near Appletree Holiday Park

Here are some of the activities and experiences you can enjoy on your visit to Appletree Holiday Park. If you discover a worthy inclusion to this list on your hot tub break, please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too.
Natureland Seal Sanctuary - PE25 1DB
about 22 Miles
Awarded the Lincolnshire Family Attraction of the Year award in recent years this fun day out is recommended. You can see seals and penguins, as well as other animals in the popular pets corner.  Feeding time for the seals and penguins is the real highlight of the day. Entertainment, education and conservation are the main aims of this attraction. Natureland's work with abandoned baby seals has become known worldwide and it's carefully researched rearing and treatment program is now used by many other rescue centres.
Rushmoor Country Park - GU10 1ET
about 29 Miles
Located in Louth in Lincolnshire this is an ideal attraction when you want to get out in the fresh air and explore. There are many animals to see including ponies and piglets which the little ones love.  There are also some amazing birds from hawks and falcons to owls.  Most aspects of this attraction are included in the admission cost and as well as wandering around you get to hold and feed the animals too.  A real highlight are the micro pigs which are just like real pigs but in miniature.  Fully grown they are around the size of a spaniel!  If you get hungry then you can take your own picnic to the picnic areas or head for the tea room selling delicious food and children's meals too.
Pleasure Island - DN35 0PL
about 39 Miles
Wow this is an amazing family theme park and you will probably need the full day to experience it all.  From thrilling rides to family shows, kids of all ages are catered for.  Some of the most popular rides include the Obliterator and The Pendulus, not forgetting the Hypoblaster.   Family shows are entertaining such as the African Acrobat Show which is back by popular demand.  Entrance tickets are good value and if you book online you will receive a discount. To save even more money if you live locally or are visiting the area for a few weeks you could buy a season ticket for around £50 which will allow you entry for the whole season.
The Jungle Zoo - NR31 9EY
about 39 Miles
Centred around a Tropical House in an amazing jungle like setting this is a really unique attraction that will appeal to families.  In the Cleethorpes area of Lincolnshire it's easy to get to and offers a fun yet educational experience.  Referred to as the number one attraction in the area highlights include capuchin monkeys, meerkats, ring tailed lemur and for the children African pygmy goats.  The tropical house features Red Eared and other Terrapins from North America and goldfish amongst other things.  We think The Jungle Zoo represents excellent value for money too.  We recommend a whole day to explore this attraction and ensure you get to see all of the animals resident there.
