Home Farm Park Lakeside Retreat Reviews

"The stay was really peaceful and the comfort was spot on."
Alex - Mar 2025
"We had a lovely stay. The lodge showed some signs of wear, but it was cosy overall. Adding placemats or coasters would make it even better."
Emily Carter - Mar 2025
"We really enjoyed our stay! The lodge was spotless and roomy and the location is perfect. The staff at reception were friendly and eager to help. Just a small thing-some hooks in the bathroom would be handy."
Emma - Mar 2025
"Cozy lodge with everything we could ask for!"
James - Mar 2025
"Our Home Farm Park Lakeside Retreat review: We stayed at this lodge recently and honestly, the hot tub was a real highlight! Its super spacious, which was perfect for us and our two big dogs. The twin rooms are a bit tight and one didnt even have a bedside table, which was a bit odd. Also, it wasnt the cleanest-there was quite a lot of dust on the TV unit, but considering it was early in the season, its understandable. Overall, great value and wed definitely come back!"
Emma - Mar 2025
"Great experience, would repeat"
Michael Carter - Jan 2025
"Comfortable, well-located, friendly staff"
Mark Taylor - Jan 2025
"Absolutely loved our stay! The lodge was super clean and had everything we needed. Staff at check-in and check-out were really friendly. The complex looked great and were already planning to come back!"
Alex - Jan 2025
"What a lovely place! The lodge was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The peaceful setting made our stay truly relaxing. Well definitely be back soon. Highly recommend!"
Emma - Dec 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay, the place was spotless and well-equipped. Stayed in December and the heating was way too hot, but otherwise perfect. Well be back!"
Emma Carter - Dec 2024
"We recently stayed at this lovely lodge with my partner and honestly, it was quite a pleasant experience. The place is beautifully decorated and fully equipped, which made us feel right at home. The interiors are thoughtfully done and we appreciated the generous supply of towels and bathrobes. However, a few small touches could really make a difference - like adding a smart TV so we could connect to Wi-Fi and watch our own stuff. Also, even though only the two of us stayed, the beds in the other rooms werent made up, so maybe clearer info on that would help future guests. One thing that wasnt quite clear was whether the lodge faces the lake or not - some clarification there would be useful. We did mention our late arrival at check-in, but the female receptionists comment about disturbing other guests felt a bit off and made us feel a little unwelcome. Still, we loved the setting and overall enjoyed our stay!"
Alex and Jamie - Nov 2024
"Really disappointed, the cabin wasnt actually by the lake."
Emma - Nov 2024
"We recently stayed in Pine 12 and honestly, it was just what we needed - a peaceful escape with a lovely view of the lake. The hot tub was a real highlight and we enjoyed some on-site fishing which was quite relaxing. The accommodation itself was quite nice, although its more like a top-tier caravan rather than a lodge, but still very comfortable. The site was spotless and well-kept, which we appreciated. The kitchen had everything we needed, though a few small things were missing, like toiletries in the bathroom - no hand soap or even door mats, especially by the patio door. Bath towels were a bit small and the bath sheets werent the usual large ones were used to with Hoseasons. We stayed for a week and there was no hoover, just a soft brush, which made cleaning the carpets a bit tricky. Dining outside was a bit of a miss since theres only a tiny coffee table on the patio, so alfresco meals arent really an option. Theres no TV in the bathroom, but the power and aerial points are there if you want to set one up. The external light near the hot tub wasnt working, which made the evenings pretty dark - we let staff know but it was still out when we left. We did have a small issue with the TV at first, as the aerial in the wardrobe in the main bedroom came loose. The bath robes were a bonus, but wed prefer them all to be bigger, maybe extra large. Despite these little niggles, we had an amazing time and wed definitely recommend the lakeside restaurant just a few minutes away - definitely worth a visit!"
Jamie - Oct 2024
"We had a fantastic stay! The lodge was immaculate and stunning. Loved the little touches like towels and robes. Definitely would stay again, highly recommend it! Cheers!"
Emma Collins - Oct 2024
"We stayed in a really roomy lodge and the twin rooms felt surprisingly spacious - no cramped feeling at all. The bonus was definitely the bath, which was lovely. When we arrived, they told us the fridge wasnt working, but theyd already sorted a new fridge/freezer, so no hassle there. Everything was spotless too. Highly recommend!"
Alex Morgan - Oct 2024
"We stayed at this place recently and honestly, it was fantastic. The house was super clean and had all the modern amenities we needed. The hot tub was a real highlight and those dressing gowns were such a thoughtful touch. Definitely recommend!"
Emma - Sep 2024
"We've visited Home Farm Park quite a few times now and honestly, its our favourite spot for the Skegness Speed Weekend. Weve stayed in the same property four times, but this time we tried a different one through a different provider and it didnt disappoint. The place was spotless, super comfy and the hot tub was a real treat. If I had to be picky, the carpets could do with replacing soon. Overall, wed definitely recommend Home Farm Park - 9/10 from us!"
Alex Carter - May 2024
"We had a fantastic time! The lodge was spotless, cosy and perfectly stocked with everything we needed. Definitely planning to return soon."
Emma Carter - Mar 2024
"We had a pretty good stay here. Its quite handy being just a short drive into Skegness and Burgh Le Marshs chip shop is definitely worth a visit. The site itself is a fishermans dream - loads of pegs to choose from, so fishing was easy and fun. It does get pretty dark at night since there arent any lights on site, so bring a good torch! The shop on site is quite basic, so wed recommend grabbing what you need from the COOP in Burgh Le Marsh, which is only about 4 minutes by car. Skegness is even closer, around 8 minutes away. The van was really comfy and the hot tub was spotlessly clean and nice and hot when we arrived - perfect after a day out. WiFi was solid too, with plenty of signal for the kids tablets and our phones, so no complaints there at all. Wed definitely come back!"
Emma Roberts - Mar 2024
"The place is super peaceful and tidy and after three visits, the lodge still feels fresh and new. Wed definitely return, its really lovely here!"
Emma - Mar 2024
"Really enjoyed the stay, everything was spot on and very comfortable."
Rachel - Mar 2024
"We love this lodge! Facing the lake is a real plus and there's plenty of kitchen gear if you want to cook. Lots of space to relax, definitely our favourite spot!"
Emily - Mar 2024
"We had a lovely stay at the lodge! It was spotless when we arrived and the rooms were really spacious, which we appreciated. The hot tub was already warm and perfect for unwinding after a day out. Getting in and out was hassle-free, which made things so much easier. The site had a shop and deli, though we didnt use them - they looked really inviting, honestly. Our kids loved spotting the donkeys, geese, ducks and other wildlife roaming around. Its a peaceful spot with good privacy, just a short drive to Skegness. Wed definitely come back!"
Emma - Mar 2024
"Really enjoyed staying here, would recommend."
Emma - Mar 2024
"We stayed at the lodge recently and it was really lovely, super spacious and always clean. The only downside was that there wasnt enough seating for six adults - we ended up squeezing into the dining chairs. The complex at night was quite dark, with no proper lighting near the hot tub, so we had to use our phones to see. Also, the veranda got very slippy when it rained, which was a bit risky without non-slip mats."
Emma - Jan 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay, already booked again for next year."
Emma Carter - Jan 2024
"We had a fantastic family getaway at the lodge! Its a lovely spot close to Skegness, perfect for a quick escape. The donkeys and the views really made it special. Only a few minor annoyances - no mattress protector on the double bed (we found it in a drawer when leaving) and just one side plate and cereal bowl. Still, were very happy overall!"
Emma Carter - Jan 2024
"Our Christmas stay was fantastic! The lodge was spotless, roomy and really comfy. The staff made us feel so welcome and were super helpful. Were already planning to come back next year. Truly great!"
Emma - Dec 2023
"We stayed over Christmas at the lodge and honestly, it was quite lovely. The staff were super friendly and really helpful throughout our stay. The donkeys stole the show - they were absolutely adorable! The only real downside was the cleanliness; the TV unit was dusty and under the sofa was pretty grimy. The rug also needed a good hoovering because of all the dog hair, which was expected since its a dog-friendly place. We also found some clothes left behind in one of the wardrobes and theres no door curtain at the main entrance, so its quite visible from the road. We hung a blanket up on the hooks to fix that, but it didnt look the best. Still, overall, we had a lovely time!"
Harriet - Dec 2023
"We had a fantastic time here! The place was spotless, well-equipped and the staff couldn't have been nicer. Truly a peaceful retreat!"
Emma - Dec 2023
"Was upgraded on arrival which was nice a TV in bedroom would of been good but otherwise loved it"
Andrew - Jul 2022
"Fantastic stay here again. Spotlessly clean, well maintained ground and friendly staff, what more could you want! Already looking for dates later in the year."
Peter - Jul 2022
"Excellent place , we all had a lovely stay and it was nice and quiet a+++"
Adam - Jun 2022
"Beautiful park for a relaxing break. Not much in the area but that was exactly what we were looking for. Loved it ?"
Deena - Jun 2022
"Only downfall is not easy to get to the village on foot as busy road and not safe for people with mobility issuses!lodge was beautiful and comfatble , hot tub was amazing!lovley scenery and very relaxing!would deffinatly book again"
Rachael - May 2022
"Absolutely stunning....the sites surroundings ...the caravan ...all of it ...Great!!! wi-fi and 32" TV was a bonus.....A little bit pricey for 4 nights . but you get what you pay for I suppose ... Perfect few days break!!!! Would prefer to book direct with the site....but don't think that is possible ....but will definitely return !"
Lindy - Apr 2022
"Lovely short break away! Only downside was the heating being on timer and we had a day in the lodge (stayed in November) so it was rather cold. Had an issue with the boiler but rang the number given and had a gentleman come out straight away pretty much. Overall the stay was lovely and we would come back"
Naomi - Nov 2021
"I had a absolutely lovely time staying at Home Farm Park in a lodge with a Laskeside View, The lodge was absolutely beautiful and so clean, the beds were very comfortable and just overall so homely and cozy. Would 100% visit again it is so worth the money. There are local shops and Skegness is only a 10 minute drive which was a great day trip out. Very pleased with our stay and would definitely recommend!"

Attractions Near Home Farm Park Lakeside Retreat

Here are some of the activities and experiences you can enjoy on your visit to Home Farm Park Lakeside Retreat. If you discover a worthy inclusion to this list on your hot tub break, please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too.
Natureland Seal Sanctuary - PE25 1DB
about 4 Miles
Awarded the Lincolnshire Family Attraction of the Year award in recent years this fun day out is recommended. You can see seals and penguins, as well as other animals in the popular pets corner.  Feeding time for the seals and penguins is the real highlight of the day. Entertainment, education and conservation are the main aims of this attraction. Natureland's work with abandoned baby seals has become known worldwide and it's carefully researched rearing and treatment program is now used by many other rescue centres.
Rushmoor Country Park - GU10 1ET
about 17 Miles
Located in Louth in Lincolnshire this is an ideal attraction when you want to get out in the fresh air and explore. There are many animals to see including ponies and piglets which the little ones love.  There are also some amazing birds from hawks and falcons to owls.  Most aspects of this attraction are included in the admission cost and as well as wandering around you get to hold and feed the animals too.  A real highlight are the micro pigs which are just like real pigs but in miniature.  Fully grown they are around the size of a spaniel!  If you get hungry then you can take your own picnic to the picnic areas or head for the tea room selling delicious food and children's meals too.
Pleasure Island - DN35 0PL
about 27 Miles
Wow this is an amazing family theme park and you will probably need the full day to experience it all.  From thrilling rides to family shows, kids of all ages are catered for.  Some of the most popular rides include the Obliterator and The Pendulus, not forgetting the Hypoblaster.   Family shows are entertaining such as the African Acrobat Show which is back by popular demand.  Entrance tickets are good value and if you book online you will receive a discount. To save even more money if you live locally or are visiting the area for a few weeks you could buy a season ticket for around £50 which will allow you entry for the whole season.
The Jungle Zoo - NR31 9EY
about 28 Miles
Centred around a Tropical House in an amazing jungle like setting this is a really unique attraction that will appeal to families.  In the Cleethorpes area of Lincolnshire it's easy to get to and offers a fun yet educational experience.  Referred to as the number one attraction in the area highlights include capuchin monkeys, meerkats, ring tailed lemur and for the children African pygmy goats.  The tropical house features Red Eared and other Terrapins from North America and goldfish amongst other things.  We think The Jungle Zoo represents excellent value for money too.  We recommend a whole day to explore this attraction and ensure you get to see all of the animals resident there.
Bishops Boats Seal Trips - NR23 1RY
about 34 Miles
This is a really unique attraction running daily seal watching trips from the middle of March right through to the end of October.  The experienced skippers will lead you out on one of the traditional wooden boats where you will have the chance to see both common and grey seals.  If you love animals then this is one attraction not to be missed! They also do some boat trips combined with guides on dry land such as seal watching combined with a visit to Blakeney Point Nature Reserve, owned by the National Trust.  We think this attraction is excellent value for money as they keep their admission prices low.
Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens - NR21 0LN
about 35 Miles
if you and your family are interested in nature and wildlife then Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens is the perfect place for a day out. This beautiful area of national parkland is home to a huge range of common and rare birds from sparrows to Red Crowned Cranes and also has a red squirrel enclosure - part of a conservation programme and now home to a family of adorable squirrels. Other activities to enjoy at Pensthorpe include pond dipping and Landrover discovery tours. Pensthorpe also played host to BBC'S Springwatch in 2010.
