About Skegness Fields

Looking for a quiet getaway? Skegness Fields is a great choice for larger groups of friends or family wanting to stay together out of the hectic town centre – but just close enough to be able to drive in when you want!

Set-in wide-open farmland, there’s plenty of space to relax or let the kids explore on their way to the on-site children’s park. So why not take a look at just some of the contemporary lodges and caravans on offer at Skegness and start planning your next holiday!

Bring the whole family to enjoy a stay in the Platinum Caravan at Skegness Fields, which handily sleeps up to eight people over three bedrooms.  Extra for two people can be transformed from the lounge area.  This luxurious caravan is even complete with a flatscreen television, Wi-Fi, and your own private hot tub to use during your stay – as well as garden furniture on the decking for when you don’t feel like taking a dip!

If you’d prefer a lodge, then take a look at their platinum choice – it’s sure to live up to its name! The Platinum Lodge sleeps up to six people over three bedrooms; one double and two twin. With a dishwasher included specifically in this lodge, there’s no need to spend extra time clearing away – make the most of your time in Skegness exploring or embracing the peaceful grounds of Skegness Fields in your outdoor hot tub.

When it’s time to get out and explore, Skegness Fields is in an ideal location, only a short drive away from the town centre where there’s plenty to do! Roughly a fifteen minute drive away is Gunby Estate, Hall & Gardens, where history enthusiasts can explore the 18th century country house and admire eight acres of gardens. Stop off for a quick coffee or cake and pay a visit to the second-hand bookshop where the Joiners’ Workshop used to be!

Any young animal lovers will crave a trip to Skegness Aquarium to learn about the world under the sea. From zebra sharks to red emperor snappers, there’s plenty to see and find out more about! But if they prefer animals of the extinct kind, then you’ll want to make good use of your ticket which includes entry to Jurassic Falls, where visitors can interact with over twenty incredible dinosaurs, some of which are even animatronic! Feeling extra brave? Why not book a dive session before your visit! It’s sure to make your holiday one to remember.

Keen golfers should head over to Skegness Golf Centre to play one of the longest nine-hole golf courses in Lincolnshire or practice their swing on the driving range! Stock up on equipment at the pro shop and meet the rest of the family and friends at the clubhouse and bar for a drink before heading back to Skegness Fields.

Teenagers and thrill-seekers should visit Fantasy Island for an adrenaline fuelled day on over thirty rides. Brave visitors can experience the twists and turns that The Odyssey takes you on, as well as the epic loop-de-loop of The Millennium, whilst those who’d prefer something a bit calmer can enjoy The Jets or Firebowl.

If rides aren’t your cup of tea, explore Ingoldmells market – Europe’s largest seven-day market, consisting of over three-hundred and twenty stalls! Selling art, clothes and everything in-between, you’re sure to be in safe hands if you’ve left anything at home – or even a souvenir to take home with you as a reminder of your trip. Grab a bite to eat at Ingoldmells before heading back into the excitement of the park – you’ll appreciate the comfy beds of Skegness Fields even more at the end of the long day!

Skegness Fields Reviews

"Really lovely overall, we enjoyed it!"
Emma - Mar 2025
"We recently stayed in one of the pet-friendly platinum lodges with a hottub and overall, Id say its a solid 4 out of 5. The lodge was spacious and modern, which we liked and the location was peaceful and well-kept. The site itself felt really quiet and tidy-exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway. However, there were a few little issues. The cleanliness wasnt perfect; the fridge hadnt been wiped down and the mattress protector was a bit grubby. The hottub was a bit of a letdown the first day because it wasnt hot enough to use, though I understand it takes time to warm up. Still, considering check-in was from 2 pm, we expected to enjoy it that evening. On the plus side, any problems we had-like the front door or oven-were sorted promptly, which was great. The walkable pub and shop are a bonus and Skegness is just a short drive away. If they added a TV in the bedroom and pre-warmed the hottub, itd be perfect. Wed definitely come back!"
Emma - Nov 2024
"The lodge was absolutely gorgeous, super clean and had that cosy, home-from-home vibe. Well definitely be back soon!"
Emma - Nov 2024
"We recently stayed at Platinum Lodge for a weekend and overall, it was a pretty good experience. The caravan itself was lovely and comfortable. However, we did encounter a really unpleasant smell in the main toilet, which persisted even after cleaning - not ideal. We also had a bit of trouble with the boiler; tried calling the out-of-hours number but got no reply. Luckily, restarting it got the heating going again. The location is a bit of a hike from the beach, but despite those hiccups, we had a lovely time!"
Emma - Oct 2024
"Our Skegness Fields review: We recently booked two lodges expecting them to be similar, but ended up with one that matched the pictures and another that was completely different. When we asked about it, we were told the images are just for illustration, which seems a bit odd - arent the photos supposed to help us decide what were getting? It felt like we were given a cheaper lodge than what we paid for, which was pretty disappointing. We also tried reaching out by email about these issues but havent received any reply. To top it off, all the outdoor furniture was broken when we arrived, something that shouldve been spotted beforehand. Honestly, we wont be coming back. Not a great experience at all."
Harriet - Oct 2024
"Honestly, our stay in the platinum lodge was fantastic. Its definitely one of the nicest places weve ever stayed in the UK - super well equipped and comfortable. From the moment we arrived, there was a nice touch with a bottle of milk in the fridge and a handy washing up pack, including dishwasher tablets, which meant we didnt have to bother with hand-washing everything during our stay. The hot tub was a real treat, especially since it was so warm and relaxing. The smart TV in the living room, set against that cool media wall, was a great feature - perfect for unwinding after a day out. The lodges size was a real bonus, much wider than your typical caravan, making it feel more like a home. We managed to get a good deal, but I did notice that out-of-season prices are climbing quite a bit for next year - hope they dont put people off with sky-high prices, as its worth every penny!"
Alex - Oct 2024
"Very comfortable and well-kept place"
James - Sep 2024
"We had a really good stay at this caravan. The place was well equipped and we loved the decking area. The hot tub was a highlight. The electric fire and central heating kept us warm when it got a bit chilly. Definitely recommend!"
Emma - Sep 2024
"We might have been partly to blame for booking a pet caravan without a pet, but honestly, it wasnt very clean and looked pretty tired. The lack of a light above the hot tub was annoying and the caravan was freezing because there were no clear instructions on how to use the heating. It was quite frustrating overall."
Emma Carter - Sep 2024
"The bed was a bit tricky with that rolling middle, but apart from that, everything else was spot on! Would stay again."
Emma - Sep 2024
"We had a lovely stay at this lodge. Its spacious and feels just like a home away from home. Definitely recommend to anyone! Definitely worth it."
Alex - Sep 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay, just a bit more tidying needed."
Emma - Aug 2024
"We really enjoyed our stay! The place was peaceful, well-equipped and perfect for relaxing. Will definitely return."
Emily - Aug 2024
"Really loved our stay"
Emma Turner - Aug 2024
"We spent a week here recently and honestly, it was quite a nice break. The site was peaceful and perfect for kids, with a small play area, which was handy. Its only a short drive to Skegness, so hitting the beach was easy. The caravan was comfortable enough, beds were decent, but the carpet hadnt been hoovered and was covered in hair - not great especially with a crawling baby. Wouldve been better if there were some tables and chairs on the veranda and a toaster wouldve been a real bonus for breakfast. Still, we enjoyed our stay and wouldnt mind coming back!"
Emily Carter - Aug 2024
"The site was spotless, really well-maintained and the hot tub was a lovely touch. Staff couldnt have been more helpful, genuinely going above and beyond for us. Already booked for next year!"
Emma Carter - Aug 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay, the caravan was spotless and felt really welcoming throughout."
Emma - Aug 2024
"The caravan was lovely and the hot tub made our stay so relaxing. Staff were super friendly too."
Emma - Aug 2024
"We loved Skegness Fields! The location is perfect, not right on the busy strip but still close enough. Caravans were immaculate and the whole site was really well maintained. Definitely recommend!"
Emma Carter - Aug 2024
"Nice peaceful spot, although no clubhouse or pool here, but the sister site is handy."
Jasmine - Aug 2024
"Very peaceful spot, perfect for relaxing stays."
Emma - Jul 2024
"The hot tubs outside was dirty, with scum still visible - not what we expected at all."
Lisa Carter - Jul 2024
"We really enjoyed our stay! The caravan was lovely and spotless and the site itself was well-maintained. The only thing that caught us out a bit was the lack of outdoor furniture on the veranda-especially since there was a nice space to sit outside. Also, we missed having a welcome pack; its a small thing, but its always nice when thats included, especially when youre used to it from other places. Still, overall, a good experience!"
Emma - Jul 2024
"We had a fantastic stay! The caravan was really spacious and super clean, which made all the difference. The hot tub was just what we needed to unwind. Skegness was close enough for a quick trip and Ingoldmells wasnt far either. Definitely coming back!"
Emily - Jun 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay, the place was spotless and super relaxing for the week away. Lovely break!"
Emma - Jun 2024
"We really enjoyed our stay, it was peaceful and calming, perfect for a break. Close enough to Skegness and Ingoldmells, definitely recommend to friends looking for a chill spot."
Emma - Jun 2024
"The caravan was great, no issues at all. Just wish there was a shop nearby!"
Sarah Collins - Jun 2024
"Weve stayed here a couple of times now and this was our first in a lodge. Honestly, theyre pretty spacious and well equipped, which is great. We did hit a snag with the boiler on the first night - no heating or hot water - but it was sorted first thing the next morning, so no big deal really. The site itself is quite peaceful, which we liked and catching the bus into town is super easy from right opposite the site by South View. One thing to mention, though, is that the lodge wasnt spotless when we arrived - cobwebs on the ceilings and behind doors or radiators, probably left by previous guests. Not a huge issue, but worth noting. All in all, wed come back again!"
Emma - May 2024
"We stayed in a decent-sized caravan, but the beds werent great, with some springy slats poking through. It did smell a bit like animals, so if youre not bringing a pet, maybe opt for a non-pet caravan. The hot tub was a nice size but a tad dirty, though still usable. Kitchen and seating areas were pretty good. No on-site entertainment, but nearby sites have stuff to do. Handy location too!"
Emma Clarke - Apr 2024
"One of the best places I have ever stayed! Literally got what we paid for! The lodge was spectacular"
Chloe - Jul 2022
"Excellent throughout, brilliant accommodation with everything you could wish for, easy check in and really helpful staff. Quiet location but easy travel with car to all local sights, great for the dogs with lovely walks."
Jane - Jul 2022
"Excellent location. A Tesco only a few minutes down the road which was perfect for shopping, there was also a Lidl, Morrisons and Asda for anyone who doesn’t like Tesco. Only a 5 minute drive from the coach and the promenade. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful when we needed a bit more help during our checking in time."
Holly - Jul 2022
"Beautiful Lodge. Really nice gesture leaving welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits, milk and bottle of prosecco. Enjoyed relaxing in the jacuzzi . Will definitely be returning."
Pearl - Jul 2022
"Excellent lodge, very clean, hot tub added bonus would definitely stay here again"
Catherine - Jul 2022
"Stunning surroundings, lovely and peaceful stay. Was nice to stay somewhere that you couldn’t hear people coming back from the pub. We really enjoyed it and will definitely be back again"
Kelly - Jul 2022
"Clean tidy location, good peaceful and not too busy overall relaxing time enjoyed by all."
Stephen - Jul 2022
"Fabulous Lodge in a quiet spot, larger than expected clean and new.Hot tub was superb. Very enjoyable stay."
David - Jul 2022
"Good location and nice quiet site but close enough to Skegness. Great for a short break ,bedrooms were small compared to other Hoeseasons lodges we have been to."
Malcolm - Jul 2022
"It was amazing, clean and the location was so close by to everything yet when ur at the field it doesnt feel like you are. The only downside i would say is i feel like customers should be provided with more than just 1 loo roll and also washing up liquid as essentials. But apart from that it was amazing and i would deffo go again. ( we went as 2 adults and 2 kids aged 4 and 1, everyone loved it)."
Sonya - Jul 2022
"Excellent family weekend away. Had the platinum lodge with hot tub and it was amazing. The lodge wasn’t as clean as I would have expected, but it was a great weekend. Park is lovely and quiet, but had a caravan of lads at the back of us that were playing loud inappropriate music late into the night. Other than that it was amazing. Would go back in a heart beat. Kids and wife already want to go back already"
Kelly - Jul 2022
"Lovely lodge in a peaceful area."
John - Jun 2022
"Quiet peaceful site, 35 minute walk into skegness, we visited ingoldmells and Gibraltar Point, which were both just a short drive away. Close enough to walk to the welcome Inn, which has a great outdoor seating area."

Attractions Near Skegness Fields

Here are some of the activities and experiences you can enjoy on your visit to Skegness Fields. If you discover a worthy inclusion to this list on your hot tub break, please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too.
Natureland Seal Sanctuary - PE25 1DB
about 1 Mile
Awarded the Lincolnshire Family Attraction of the Year award in recent years this fun day out is recommended. You can see seals and penguins, as well as other animals in the popular pets corner.  Feeding time for the seals and penguins is the real highlight of the day. Entertainment, education and conservation are the main aims of this attraction. Natureland's work with abandoned baby seals has become known worldwide and it's carefully researched rearing and treatment program is now used by many other rescue centres.
Rushmoor Country Park - GU10 1ET
about 19 Miles
Located in Louth in Lincolnshire this is an ideal attraction when you want to get out in the fresh air and explore. There are many animals to see including ponies and piglets which the little ones love.  There are also some amazing birds from hawks and falcons to owls.  Most aspects of this attraction are included in the admission cost and as well as wandering around you get to hold and feed the animals too.  A real highlight are the micro pigs which are just like real pigs but in miniature.  Fully grown they are around the size of a spaniel!  If you get hungry then you can take your own picnic to the picnic areas or head for the tea room selling delicious food and children's meals too.
Pleasure Island - DN35 0PL
about 29 Miles
Wow this is an amazing family theme park and you will probably need the full day to experience it all.  From thrilling rides to family shows, kids of all ages are catered for.  Some of the most popular rides include the Obliterator and The Pendulus, not forgetting the Hypoblaster.   Family shows are entertaining such as the African Acrobat Show which is back by popular demand.  Entrance tickets are good value and if you book online you will receive a discount. To save even more money if you live locally or are visiting the area for a few weeks you could buy a season ticket for around £50 which will allow you entry for the whole season.
The Jungle Zoo - NR31 9EY
about 30 Miles
Centred around a Tropical House in an amazing jungle like setting this is a really unique attraction that will appeal to families.  In the Cleethorpes area of Lincolnshire it's easy to get to and offers a fun yet educational experience.  Referred to as the number one attraction in the area highlights include capuchin monkeys, meerkats, ring tailed lemur and for the children African pygmy goats.  The tropical house features Red Eared and other Terrapins from North America and goldfish amongst other things.  We think The Jungle Zoo represents excellent value for money too.  We recommend a whole day to explore this attraction and ensure you get to see all of the animals resident there.
Bishops Boats Seal Trips - NR23 1RY
about 32 Miles
This is a really unique attraction running daily seal watching trips from the middle of March right through to the end of October.  The experienced skippers will lead you out on one of the traditional wooden boats where you will have the chance to see both common and grey seals.  If you love animals then this is one attraction not to be missed! They also do some boat trips combined with guides on dry land such as seal watching combined with a visit to Blakeney Point Nature Reserve, owned by the National Trust.  We think this attraction is excellent value for money as they keep their admission prices low.
Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens - NR21 0LN
about 32 Miles
if you and your family are interested in nature and wildlife then Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens is the perfect place for a day out. This beautiful area of national parkland is home to a huge range of common and rare birds from sparrows to Red Crowned Cranes and also has a red squirrel enclosure - part of a conservation programme and now home to a family of adorable squirrels. Other activities to enjoy at Pensthorpe include pond dipping and Landrover discovery tours. Pensthorpe also played host to BBC'S Springwatch in 2010.
Sheringham Park - NR26 8TL
about 39 Miles
The National Trust Sheringham Park in Norfolk was designed by Humphry Repton and the book of original designs can still be seen. The park has many attractions including a viewing tower and a gazebo with amazing coastal views, wildlife trails which young children will love and an exhibition barn where visitors can learn the history of the park.
