About Skegness Fields

Looking for a quiet getaway? Skegness Fields is a great choice for larger groups of friends or family wanting to stay together out of the hectic town centre – but just close enough to be able to drive in when you want!

Set-in wide-open farmland, there’s plenty of space to relax or let the kids explore on their way to the on-site children’s park. So why not take a look at just some of the contemporary lodges and caravans on offer at Skegness and start planning your next holiday!

Bring the whole family to enjoy a stay in the Platinum Caravan at Skegness Fields, which handily sleeps up to eight people over three bedrooms.  Extra for two people can be transformed from the lounge area.  This luxurious caravan is even complete with a flatscreen television, Wi-Fi, and your own private hot tub to use during your stay – as well as garden furniture on the decking for when you don’t feel like taking a dip!

If you’d prefer a lodge, then take a look at their platinum choice – it’s sure to live up to its name! The Platinum Lodge sleeps up to six people over three bedrooms; one double and two twin. With a dishwasher included specifically in this lodge, there’s no need to spend extra time clearing away – make the most of your time in Skegness exploring or embracing the peaceful grounds of Skegness Fields in your outdoor hot tub.

When it’s time to get out and explore, Skegness Fields is in an ideal location, only a short drive away from the town centre where there’s plenty to do! Roughly a fifteen minute drive away is Gunby Estate, Hall & Gardens, where history enthusiasts can explore the 18th century country house and admire eight acres of gardens. Stop off for a quick coffee or cake and pay a visit to the second-hand bookshop where the Joiners’ Workshop used to be!

Any young animal lovers will crave a trip to Skegness Aquarium to learn about the world under the sea. From zebra sharks to red emperor snappers, there’s plenty to see and find out more about! But if they prefer animals of the extinct kind, then you’ll want to make good use of your ticket which includes entry to Jurassic Falls, where visitors can interact with over twenty incredible dinosaurs, some of which are even animatronic! Feeling extra brave? Why not book a dive session before your visit! It’s sure to make your holiday one to remember.

Keen golfers should head over to Skegness Golf Centre to play one of the longest nine-hole golf courses in Lincolnshire or practice their swing on the driving range! Stock up on equipment at the pro shop and meet the rest of the family and friends at the clubhouse and bar for a drink before heading back to Skegness Fields.

Teenagers and thrill-seekers should visit Fantasy Island for an adrenaline fuelled day on over thirty rides. Brave visitors can experience the twists and turns that The Odyssey takes you on, as well as the epic loop-de-loop of The Millennium, whilst those who’d prefer something a bit calmer can enjoy The Jets or Firebowl.

If rides aren’t your cup of tea, explore Ingoldmells market – Europe’s largest seven-day market, consisting of over three-hundred and twenty stalls! Selling art, clothes and everything in-between, you’re sure to be in safe hands if you’ve left anything at home – or even a souvenir to take home with you as a reminder of your trip. Grab a bite to eat at Ingoldmells before heading back into the excitement of the park – you’ll appreciate the comfy beds of Skegness Fields even more at the end of the long day!

Skegness Fields Reviews

"Amazing lodge"
Verified Guest - Apr 2024
"This is definitely not a wheelchair friendly caravan as advertised. Very difficult stay. Crockery and kitchen were dirty, toilet seat also dirty. Food left in van, no toaster, no hoist as advertised. Very disappointed"
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"Excellent caravan. Lovely wide walkways and loads of space in the bedrooms but with proper single beds. Really was great. Highly recommend for anyone with mobility issues or not very tall! The lower work surfaces are great for both. We would return to the same accommodation anytime."
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"Absolutely lovely caravan. We didn't have WiFi for the first night as someone must of taken the box but the onsite team was fab n soon sorted it"
Colleen - Nov 2023
"Great location, nice as quiet. However on arrival to the caravan we were greeted with a massive pile of rubbish, spewing out of the bins, across from where we were staying. Not a good start. The caravan itself looked fine, to start with, then we noticed what looked like cigarette burns near the entrance, brown stains (chocolate?) on the sofa and curtains and food crumbs under the table. Shame as the facilities inside were fine and enough room for the 6 of us. Unfortunately hygiene is no.1 for us, and this just didn't stand up for us. Wouldn't return. Nice hot tub though..."
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"Lovely carvavan park if you like to be out of the way but close to amenities clean and maintained daily, we had a hot tub and was fab to enjoy day or night. less that a 3 minite drive to shops and 5 minute drive from Skegness Town with lots to do.better mattresses in beds would be an advantage bit all round was lovely"
Donna - Nov 2023
"The most beautiful lodge we have ever stayed in! Spotlessly clean inside inside and out. Everything we could have needed kitchen and cleaning wise was provided. The beds were comfy and the site was lovely and clean and very quiet considering how close to the action of skegness we were. I would not hesitate to go here again and recommend to family and friends. 5 stars from us"
Sharon - Nov 2023

Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"This is a lovely little site. It has a small play area for the children. It has a green area where you can play ball games. The beach is about 2 miles away. Walkable for adults and older children, but wouldnt recommend for smaller children. The site was lovely and clean. The staff were fantastic. I would definitely stay here again."
Gillian - Nov 2023
"We had a fantastic holiday would definitely recommend the staff there was lovely and very helpful"
Lara Joanne - Nov 2023
"Fun family holiday, only minus was no toaster, so had to use the grill old school, that apart very clean and comfy nice shower.Would return."
Robert - Nov 2023
"Fantastic holiday at Skegness fields, would definitely recommend for a peaceful and relaxing holiday"
Darren - Nov 2023

Alan - Nov 2023
"Fantastic holiday, great out of town location that provides easy access to Skegness Town.We came with a 6 year old and 18 month old."
Lydia - Nov 2023
"A lovely 4 night stay here, we were really happy with our accommodation and would definitely stay again. On arrival there was an unpleasant smell like a dirty mop had been used to clean the floors and also a few dead flies found in the kitchen area however with everything else being so nice it didn't put us off!"
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"Enjoyed a 4 night stay here in august. Checking in was very straight forward. Staff very helpful. Accommodation was ready and clean. Hot tub was fantastic. Was checked every day. The site was very clean and tidy. The park it self is only a 5-10 min drive into town. Would definitely stay here again."
Zoe - Nov 2023
"Would have liked closer shops & bars. But other than that excellent. Travel was really bad. If your unable to walk your not going to get far"
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"Brilliant place to stay"
Anna - Jul 2023
"Would defo come back to that lodge it wa a beautiful"
Georgina - Jul 2023
"Lovely quiet park friendly staff, booking in and out very easy. Lodge was well maintained and clean, hot tub fantastic would definitely stay again."
Karen - Jul 2023
"Asked for manager to call when leaving to be told I would have to email details to raise complaint"
Maria - Jun 2023
"Lovely clean caravan. Very spacious, especially for a wheelchair user. The sliding doors were very stiff to open/close but mentioned this to the helpful and friendly lady on check out who said this would be passed on. Dining chairs as opposed to stools would have provided extra dining comfort."
Caroline - May 2023
"The lodge was beautiful and a great size, unfortunately the gas hob wasn't working as it had been recalled therefore affected all of our pre-bought food for meals and meant we either had to buy out or buy new food to be cooked in either the oven or microwave. Heated towel rails in the bathrooms were on full blast with no obvious way to turn off resulting in the bedroom with the ensuite getting very hot which was not ideal with an 8 month old baby!!"
Emily - May 2023
"No dishwasher as advertised"
Graeme - Jan 1970
"Caravan itself was great however we found several pans, trays and glasses had not been cleaned"
James - Jan 1970
"Excellent customer service . Reception staff and grounds staff extremely friendly.

Lovely clean site, peaceful located close to skegness.

Any issues we had were dealt with in a timely manner and was no bother for the staff .

No issues with WiFi connection for my 3 teenagers in the caravan.

Only downside was the cleanliness of the van when we first arrived, toilet brush dirty, used tissues in the living room."
Amanda - Jan 1970
"The lodge is simply fantastic. Clean, modern and the hot tub is just amazing"
Carla - Jan 1970
"One of the best places I have ever stayed! Literally got what we paid for! The lodge was spectacular"
Chloe - Jul 2022
"Excellent throughout, brilliant accommodation with everything you could wish for, easy check in and really helpful staff. Quiet location but easy travel with car to all local sights, great for the dogs with lovely walks."
Jane - Jul 2022
"Excellent location. A Tesco only a few minutes down the road which was perfect for shopping, there was also a Lidl, Morrisons and Asda for anyone who doesn’t like Tesco. Only a 5 minute drive from the coach and the promenade. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful when we needed a bit more help during our checking in time."
Holly - Jul 2022
"Beautiful Lodge. Really nice gesture leaving welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits, milk and bottle of prosecco. Enjoyed relaxing in the jacuzzi . Will definitely be returning."
Pearl - Jul 2022
"Excellent lodge, very clean, hot tub added bonus would definitely stay here again"
Catherine - Jul 2022
"Stunning surroundings, lovely and peaceful stay. Was nice to stay somewhere that you couldn’t hear people coming back from the pub. We really enjoyed it and will definitely be back again"
Kelly - Jul 2022
"Clean tidy location, good peaceful and not too busy overall relaxing time enjoyed by all."
Stephen - Jul 2022
"Fabulous Lodge in a quiet spot, larger than expected clean and new.Hot tub was superb. Very enjoyable stay."
David - Jul 2022
"Good location and nice quiet site but close enough to Skegness. Great for a short break ,bedrooms were small compared to other Hoeseasons lodges we have been to."
Malcolm - Jul 2022
"It was amazing, clean and the location was so close by to everything yet when ur at the field it doesnt feel like you are. The only downside i would say is i feel like customers should be provided with more than just 1 loo roll and also washing up liquid as essentials. But apart from that it was amazing and i would deffo go again. ( we went as 2 adults and 2 kids aged 4 and 1, everyone loved it)."
Sonya - Jul 2022
"Excellent family weekend away. Had the platinum lodge with hot tub and it was amazing. The lodge wasn’t as clean as I would have expected, but it was a great weekend. Park is lovely and quiet, but had a caravan of lads at the back of us that were playing loud inappropriate music late into the night. Other than that it was amazing. Would go back in a heart beat. Kids and wife already want to go back already"
Kelly - Jul 2022
"Lovely lodge in a peaceful area."
John - Jun 2022
"Quiet peaceful site, 35 minute walk into skegness, we visited ingoldmells and Gibraltar Point, which were both just a short drive away. Close enough to walk to the welcome Inn, which has a great outdoor seating area."

Attractions Near Skegness Fields

Here are some of the activities and experiences you can enjoy on your visit to Skegness Fields. If you discover a worthy inclusion to this list on your hot tub break, please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too.
Natureland Seal Sanctuary - PE25 1DB
about 1 Mile
Awarded the Lincolnshire Family Attraction of the Year award in recent years this fun day out is recommended. You can see seals and penguins, as well as other animals in the popular pets corner.  Feeding time for the seals and penguins is the real highlight of the day. Entertainment, education and conservation are the main aims of this attraction. Natureland's work with abandoned baby seals has become known worldwide and it's carefully researched rearing and treatment program is now used by many other rescue centres.
Rushmoor Country Park - GU10 1ET
about 19 Miles
Located in Louth in Lincolnshire this is an ideal attraction when you want to get out in the fresh air and explore. There are many animals to see including ponies and piglets which the little ones love.  There are also some amazing birds from hawks and falcons to owls.  Most aspects of this attraction are included in the admission cost and as well as wandering around you get to hold and feed the animals too.  A real highlight are the micro pigs which are just like real pigs but in miniature.  Fully grown they are around the size of a spaniel!  If you get hungry then you can take your own picnic to the picnic areas or head for the tea room selling delicious food and children's meals too.
Pleasure Island - DN35 0PL
about 29 Miles
Wow this is an amazing family theme park and you will probably need the full day to experience it all.  From thrilling rides to family shows, kids of all ages are catered for.  Some of the most popular rides include the Obliterator and The Pendulus, not forgetting the Hypoblaster.   Family shows are entertaining such as the African Acrobat Show which is back by popular demand.  Entrance tickets are good value and if you book online you will receive a discount. To save even more money if you live locally or are visiting the area for a few weeks you could buy a season ticket for around £50 which will allow you entry for the whole season.
The Jungle Zoo - NR31 9EY
about 30 Miles
Centred around a Tropical House in an amazing jungle like setting this is a really unique attraction that will appeal to families.  In the Cleethorpes area of Lincolnshire it's easy to get to and offers a fun yet educational experience.  Referred to as the number one attraction in the area highlights include capuchin monkeys, meerkats, ring tailed lemur and for the children African pygmy goats.  The tropical house features Red Eared and other Terrapins from North America and goldfish amongst other things.  We think The Jungle Zoo represents excellent value for money too.  We recommend a whole day to explore this attraction and ensure you get to see all of the animals resident there.
Bishops Boats Seal Trips - NR23 1RY
about 32 Miles
This is a really unique attraction running daily seal watching trips from the middle of March right through to the end of October.  The experienced skippers will lead you out on one of the traditional wooden boats where you will have the chance to see both common and grey seals.  If you love animals then this is one attraction not to be missed! They also do some boat trips combined with guides on dry land such as seal watching combined with a visit to Blakeney Point Nature Reserve, owned by the National Trust.  We think this attraction is excellent value for money as they keep their admission prices low.
Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens - NR21 0LN
about 32 Miles
if you and your family are interested in nature and wildlife then Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens is the perfect place for a day out. This beautiful area of national parkland is home to a huge range of common and rare birds from sparrows to Red Crowned Cranes and also has a red squirrel enclosure - part of a conservation programme and now home to a family of adorable squirrels. Other activities to enjoy at Pensthorpe include pond dipping and Landrover discovery tours. Pensthorpe also played host to BBC'S Springwatch in 2010.
Sheringham Park - NR26 8TL
about 39 Miles
The National Trust Sheringham Park in Norfolk was designed by Humphry Repton and the book of original designs can still be seen. The park has many attractions including a viewing tower and a gazebo with amazing coastal views, wildlife trails which young children will love and an exhibition barn where visitors can learn the history of the park.
