Woodthorpe Leisure Park Reviews

"Lovely modern clean pod with everything you need. Comfy beds and lovely power shower."
Charlotte - Apr 2025
"Comfortable and good location"
TERENCE - Apr 2025
"Great accommodation that really maximises the limited space. Had everything we needed. Fantastic Hot Tub and outside decking area that features a sheltered table and chairs. Very peaceful surroundings and not overlooked at all."
Adam - Apr 2025
"We booked this for our mini moon. The lodge was lovely and spacious enough for the two of us plus two dogs, however I think if two other adults have been there with us it would have been cramped. The hot tub was lovely and the surrounding woodland was good for walks with the dogs. It was close to the beach and other attractions which we loved as it meant we could go out exploring in the day and relax in the hot tub in the evenings. The lodges are quite close together which meant it sometimes wasnt as peaceful as wed have liked but thats to be expected. Also I was quite surprised that things such as dish soap and hand soap werent provided. We regularly go away to lodge parks with the dogs and things like hand soap are usually provided. There is a shop on site near to reception which was handy as well as a bar/restaurant. You also have to pay for the WiFi which was disappointing, and you pay per day per device rather than just a one off payment. Overall we did have a lovely stay and the staff were always friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this more to families with children rather than couples."
Jade - Apr 2025
"Our Woodthorpe Leisure Park review: When we first stepped into the caravan, there was this odd smell, but airing it out sorted it right away. Given its pet-friendly, I guess thats normal. Apart from that, its a spacious and super comfy place, really good value, especially during the busy summer holidays. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would definitely return!"
Jordan - Mar 2025
"Really enjoyed it, would recommend."
George - Feb 2025
"Really enjoyed our stay, the sauna was a highlight!"
Emma - Jan 2025
"Overall, we had a pretty decent stay in the pod. It was clean, comfy and had most things we needed, though those two saucepans on the induction hob didnt work, which was a bit of a pain. WiFi was an extra charge and honestly, it was a nightmare to get to the payment page at first - we ended up without WiFi that first night. It finally let us pay the next morning, but only for 1 or 3 nights, so we paid for an extra night we didnt really need. Still, it was a nice place, just a few small issues."
Charlie - Oct 2024
"The caravan was really spotless and welcoming, which we appreciated. Only a couple of ceiling bulbs were out, but honestly, it didnt spoil the cosy vibe. We left it as tidy as we found it. Might come back soon, hopefully with some ramp and decking sorted!"
Alexandra - Sep 2024
"Great stay, the lodge was perfect, really enjoyed the weekend!"
Tommy - Aug 2024
"Great experience, would recommend it!"
Jamie - Jun 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay, super peaceful, dog-friendly and well return soon!"
John - May 2024
"Really enjoyed the stay, the lodge was spotless and very comfy, couldn't ask for better!"
Sophie - May 2024
"Overall, we had a good stay. The staff sorted out a small issue with the furniture quickly, which was great. The caravan was unexpectedly clean, especially considering its dog-friendly. The only downside was the lack of gates on the decking area, which was a bit worrying with a dog and a young kid around. Still, wed return."
Hannah - Apr 2024
"We booked this for my mums birthday and honestly, it didnt disappoint. The lodge was gorgeous, super cosy-felt just like home. The hot tub was a real highlight and the peaceful vibe of the park made it so relaxing. Cant wait to visit again!"
Ella - Apr 2024
"Really enjoyed the cosy lodges, everything we needed was there and the hot tub was fab!"
Julia - Feb 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay, would recommend it."
Jake Morrison - Feb 2024
"Absolutely loved it! Can't wait to come back soon."
Claire - Jan 2024
"Really enjoyed the stay, peaceful setting, spotless place, everything we needed was there."
Martin - Oct 2023
"This place was lovely, with stunning views and everything we needed. Definitely coming back!"
Harper Miles - Sep 2023
"Really enjoyed the stay, the caravan was charming with thoughtful touches everywhere."
Sarah - Sep 2023
"We had such a lovely stay here! The hosts really made us feel welcome, personally guiding us to our pod which was stocked with fresh milk, tea, coffee and biscuits-such a nice touch. The whole site was spotless and well-maintained, with staff always around if we needed anything. The location is super peaceful and we enjoyed a peaceful woodl and walk right next to our pod. Our dog was more than welcome everywhere, including the garden centre, which is a big plus. Food at both Woodys and the garden centre was pretty good, though wed recommend booking a table for dinner if you can - its not impossible to get one, but the kitchen can get busy and you might wait if you havent pre-booked. The same goes for takeaways; the foods great but the staff seem a bit stretched, especially if the place gets busy. The hot tub in the woods was a real highlight - so relaxing. The onsite shop is quite big and well stocked too. Wed definitely come back!"
Harriet - Jul 2023
"We really enjoyed it, just what we needed, thanks!"
Mark - Aug 2020
"Really enjoyed the stay, peaceful surroundings made it special."
Amelia - Aug 2020
"Great spot, really enjoyed our stay here."
Alex - Aug 2020
"Really enjoyed our stay, would recommend it!"
James - Jul 2020
"The place was pretty nice overall. We were in a spacious room with just one other couple and no music playing, so it felt a bit too quiet. Adding some background tunes or a busier vibe would definitely improve the atmosphere!"
Chris - Jul 2020
"We stayed here for my sister's birthday and honestly, it was brilliant. The lodge felt really cosy and homely and the hot tub was such a treat. The peaceful vibe of the park made it a perfect relaxing break. Well definitely return soon!"
Clara - Mar 2020
"Perfect location on site tucked away superb little walks (woodland walks) Couldn’t fault it ?"
Lorraine - Aug 2022
"Woodys resturant is really lovely. Loved the food. Staff friendly. They do summer cocktails and afternoon tea which is a lovely touch for ur holiday."
Ruth - Aug 2022
"The staff in the shop was nice , the staff in pub the manager on duty was rude . The gold caravan that we was in the grill in the cooker didn’t work and it was to small 4 6 people"
Lesley - Aug 2022
"Great stay lovely site inky disappointment was WiFi"
Susan - Aug 2022
"Staff and residents where amazing. Helpful and friendly. The Pod we stayed in was the perfect size. It was on the warm side (did go when we hit record temperatures) so had to go out and by a fan. Lots of lovely villages and towns nearby. It Was the perfect way to spend our 10 year wedding anniversary. The on site pub was so friendly and the food was amazing."
Luke - Jul 2022
"We’ve been a few times now and have a lovely experience every time! The lodge is always clean and ready for us and the staff couldn’t be anymore helpful and polite! We will be returning asap!"
Nicola - Jul 2022
"Great location for visiting local attractions. Wonderful facilities on site, golf, fishing, woodland walks. Bar & restaurant something for all ages & dog friendly"
Lee - Jul 2022
"Our third visit to Woodthorpe, the accommodation was spotless and comfortable. Would certainly recommend it if you are looking for some peace and quiet."
Jessica - Jul 2022
"Great place for r & r! Golf course challenging! Driving range good but the facilities could be improved for example the chairs outside to take a break in have all gone rusty need maintenance and a good luck of paint ! Woodys bar and restaurant good food and friendly service! Location great 14mins from blue flag beach and traditional British seaside entertainment!"
Pamela - Jul 2022
"The site was amazing very peaceful staff was very friendly and helpful very relaxing place to stay. The glamping pods. Was good and had everything you needed and the hot tub was amazing, perfect place to relax and unwind."
Jane - Jul 2022
"We had a lovely week ,relaxing in the hot tub ,my husband fishing ,caught plenty of fish. The only downside is the shop on site doesnt stock a lot of choice ,as we didnt drive we had to make do with what we took."
Jackie - Jul 2022
"We stayed at Woodthorpe in Woodland 3 Log Cabin for 7 days from July 1st to 8th. This is a fantastic locations with Beautiful Surroundings. There are some Woodland Walks on site, a 18 Hole Golfcourse which is reasonably priced if you like Golf, also a Driving Range. There is Woodys Restarunt on site, also just out side the Woodthorpe Garden Centre which is also great and does foods. It is very Central to a lot of places, i.e Mablethorpe, Skegness etc. The log cabin itself is fantastic, very very Clean, it looked like brand new, lovely seating are attached and a lovely Hot Tub, we could not find a fault with the log Cabin itself and the site in gerneral, so would highly reccomend a stay here. it is very peacfull and tranquil, with lots of different Wildlife tottering about, i.e Squirels, Bunny's and various Birds, we even had a Robin Land on the table as we were eating he/she stayed on the table for at least a couple of min. The only Downside is the Internet Connection is very poor for the price you pay."

Attractions Near Woodthorpe Leisure Park

Here are some of the activities and experiences you can enjoy on your visit to Woodthorpe Leisure Park. If you discover a worthy inclusion to this list on your hot tub break, please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too.
Rushmoor Country Park - GU10 1ET
about 7 Miles
Located in Louth in Lincolnshire this is an ideal attraction when you want to get out in the fresh air and explore. There are many animals to see including ponies and piglets which the little ones love.  There are also some amazing birds from hawks and falcons to owls.  Most aspects of this attraction are included in the admission cost and as well as wandering around you get to hold and feed the animals too.  A real highlight are the micro pigs which are just like real pigs but in miniature.  Fully grown they are around the size of a spaniel!  If you get hungry then you can take your own picnic to the picnic areas or head for the tea room selling delicious food and children's meals too.
Natureland Seal Sanctuary - PE25 1DB
about 13 Miles
Awarded the Lincolnshire Family Attraction of the Year award in recent years this fun day out is recommended. You can see seals and penguins, as well as other animals in the popular pets corner.  Feeding time for the seals and penguins is the real highlight of the day. Entertainment, education and conservation are the main aims of this attraction. Natureland's work with abandoned baby seals has become known worldwide and it's carefully researched rearing and treatment program is now used by many other rescue centres.
Pleasure Island - DN35 0PL
about 17 Miles
Wow this is an amazing family theme park and you will probably need the full day to experience it all.  From thrilling rides to family shows, kids of all ages are catered for.  Some of the most popular rides include the Obliterator and The Pendulus, not forgetting the Hypoblaster.   Family shows are entertaining such as the African Acrobat Show which is back by popular demand.  Entrance tickets are good value and if you book online you will receive a discount. To save even more money if you live locally or are visiting the area for a few weeks you could buy a season ticket for around £50 which will allow you entry for the whole season.
The Jungle Zoo - NR31 9EY
about 18 Miles
Centred around a Tropical House in an amazing jungle like setting this is a really unique attraction that will appeal to families.  In the Cleethorpes area of Lincolnshire it's easy to get to and offers a fun yet educational experience.  Referred to as the number one attraction in the area highlights include capuchin monkeys, meerkats, ring tailed lemur and for the children African pygmy goats.  The tropical house features Red Eared and other Terrapins from North America and goldfish amongst other things.  We think The Jungle Zoo represents excellent value for money too.  We recommend a whole day to explore this attraction and ensure you get to see all of the animals resident there.
The Deep - HU1 4DP
about 36 Miles
Easily accessible from our Yorkshire Dales lodge parks is The Deep! An award-winning 'submarium', attraction, which is home to over 3500 fish from around the globe. Visitors can a stroll through Europe's deepest viewing tunnel and take a thrilling a glass lift ride through the 10m deep tank. The Deep is also home to the world's largest exhibition, featuring weird animals from the depths combined with slime! Educational talks and events take place daily so visitors can learn about the conservation projects which the centre is involved in. There is also a fantastic restaurant over looking some of the displays and a souvenir shop. Family tickets are priced at just £32.00.
