Woodthorpe Leisure Park Reviews

"Lovely lodge, very spacious and quirky design with the upstairs beds"
Claire - Feb 2024
"Beautiful area, we had a lovely Christmas break"
Amanda - Dec 2023
"Amazing! The property is nice and warm, clean and the layout of it is really nice, the only thing that was a downfall was there wasnt any washing up liquid or extra toilet roll and we had to go and buy all of that"
Verified Guest - Dec 2023
"Some washing up liquid would be brilliant. Everything else is included."
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"Could do with mirrors in bedrooms. There was 3 of us so it was a struggle all sharing the bathroom mirror"
Rebecca - Nov 2023
"Really loved staying here, had everything we needed in terms of bedding, towels, kitchen equipment. Clean, bright, well presented. Hot tub was fab! Nice and relaxing."
Katie - Nov 2023
"As stated before-beds too soft, pillows poor.Cottage too close to noisy car park-very early disruptionam.Electricty supply shorting twice in the middle of meal preparation-staff unable/ unskilled? couldn't isolate Sat am! hence free brekkie."
MOIRA - Nov 2023
"Lovely park and lovely retreat but the door wouldn't open properly which was a fire hazard really park people had a look twice but didn't do anything."
Haley - Nov 2023
"The acorn retreat was lovely and had everything we needed for a fabulous stay. Traveling with dogs it would be great to have a brush and shovel and a mop and bucket so that we could clean as we went. There was quite a bit of rain whilst we were there so this would have come in very handy."
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"Had an evening meal and it was good value for money. Generous sizes. It seemd the staff were here there and everywhere doing lots of different things. They were very helpful and polite."
Sarah - Jun 2023
"Caravan was nice & spacious. Despite the extra time spent cleaning there was still a coke bottle & a paper bag down the side of the sofa and spill marks down the front of the kitchen cupboards which I cleaned myself. Nice balcony with table & chairs"
Julie - Aug 2020
"The pod would have been perfect for a couple but we took 2 kids and a dog so space was limited! That being said, it was nice to have to talk to the family. Only thing I didnt enjoy was the lack of space to get dressed without the world seeing. Having to pull the blind every time made the space feel really small. That being said, we would definitely come back and stay in a pod again (just without the kids and dog!)."
Stacey - Aug 2020
"Cottage was an annex of the main cottage (Primrose) and was enough for us two and our King Charles Cav.
Kitchen had everything you needed even a dishwasher washing machine , bedroom with good size double en-suite bathroom with spa bath , and a large conservatory with comfortable furniture nice for relaxing, garden huge but shared own patio set amongst fields and golf course we have booked again"
Edward - Aug 2020
"Great weekend had by all"
Elaine - Aug 2020
"It was just what the doctor ordered loved it"
John - Aug 2020
"Loved the acorn pod, the location was lovely and quiet"
Nikkita - Aug 2020
"Wonderful place to stay, we loved it."
Kadi - Aug 2020
"Lovely to get such a nice break after covid lockdown"
Joan - Aug 2020
"Love it here cant wait to return"
Michelle - Aug 2020
"Lovely caravan! Some squashed critters in the photo frame by the dining table (van 10) but we arent fussy but some people may be!
Tin opener is really rubbish so maybe replace that and also the potato masher is broken but we didnt need this anyway ! I am a bit of a clean freak and like to hoover so a little hoover would have been ideal as a week in a caravan with a toddler and dog gets quite messy! But it was a lovely caravan no complaints just the above are advisory tips ! :)"
Melissa - Aug 2020
"Very clean and comfortable. Had everything we needed. Hot tub a bonus"
Lisa - Jul 2020
"Lovely leisure park with pleasant woodland walk and lovely on site bar/restaurant"
Janet - Jul 2020
"lovely pods well equipped could just with a stove or a bbq outside"
Kimberley - Jul 2020
"A well maintained and comfortable holiday home."
Derek - Jul 2020
"The Acorn was gorgeous, well fitted with modern facilities and situated in a more private section of the park. I would highly recommend it."
Claire - Jul 2020
"very good, have already recommended it to family"
Michelle - Jul 2020
"Fabulous, will definitely come again"
Judith - Jul 2020
"Had a brilliant holiday"
Stephen - Jul 2020
"Really nice, we were just sat in a large room with 1 other couple and no background music so it was very quiet and if slightly busier or some background music it would have been even better"
Mark - Jul 2020
"Perfect location on site tucked away superb little walks (woodland walks) Couldn’t fault it ?"
Lorraine - Aug 2022
"Woodys resturant is really lovely. Loved the food. Staff friendly. They do summer cocktails and afternoon tea which is a lovely touch for ur holiday."
Ruth - Aug 2022
"The staff in the shop was nice , the staff in pub the manager on duty was rude . The gold caravan that we was in the grill in the cooker didn’t work and it was to small 4 6 people"
Lesley - Aug 2022
"Great stay lovely site inky disappointment was WiFi"
Susan - Aug 2022
"Staff and residents where amazing. Helpful and friendly. The Pod we stayed in was the perfect size. It was on the warm side (did go when we hit record temperatures) so had to go out and by a fan. Lots of lovely villages and towns nearby. It Was the perfect way to spend our 10 year wedding anniversary. The on site pub was so friendly and the food was amazing."
Luke - Jul 2022
"We’ve been a few times now and have a lovely experience every time! The lodge is always clean and ready for us and the staff couldn’t be anymore helpful and polite! We will be returning asap!"
Nicola - Jul 2022
"Great location for visiting local attractions. Wonderful facilities on site, golf, fishing, woodland walks. Bar & restaurant something for all ages & dog friendly"
Lee - Jul 2022
"Our third visit to Woodthorpe, the accommodation was spotless and comfortable. Would certainly recommend it if you are looking for some peace and quiet."
Jessica - Jul 2022
"Great place for r & r! Golf course challenging! Driving range good but the facilities could be improved for example the chairs outside to take a break in have all gone rusty need maintenance and a good luck of paint ! Woodys bar and restaurant good food and friendly service! Location great 14mins from blue flag beach and traditional British seaside entertainment!"
Pamela - Jul 2022
"The site was amazing very peaceful staff was very friendly and helpful very relaxing place to stay. The glamping pods. Was good and had everything you needed and the hot tub was amazing, perfect place to relax and unwind."
Jane - Jul 2022
"We had a lovely week ,relaxing in the hot tub ,my husband fishing ,caught plenty of fish. The only downside is the shop on site doesnt stock a lot of choice ,as we didnt drive we had to make do with what we took."
Jackie - Jul 2022
"We stayed at Woodthorpe in Woodland 3 Log Cabin for 7 days from July 1st to 8th. This is a fantastic locations with Beautiful Surroundings. There are some Woodland Walks on site, a 18 Hole Golfcourse which is reasonably priced if you like Golf, also a Driving Range. There is Woodys Restarunt on site, also just out side the Woodthorpe Garden Centre which is also great and does foods. It is very Central to a lot of places, i.e Mablethorpe, Skegness etc. The log cabin itself is fantastic, very very Clean, it looked like brand new, lovely seating are attached and a lovely Hot Tub, we could not find a fault with the log Cabin itself and the site in gerneral, so would highly reccomend a stay here. it is very peacfull and tranquil, with lots of different Wildlife tottering about, i.e Squirels, Bunny's and various Birds, we even had a Robin Land on the table as we were eating he/she stayed on the table for at least a couple of min. The only Downside is the Internet Connection is very poor for the price you pay."

Attractions Near Woodthorpe Leisure Park

Here are some of the activities and experiences you can enjoy on your visit to Woodthorpe Leisure Park. If you discover a worthy inclusion to this list on your hot tub break, please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too.
Rushmoor Country Park - GU10 1ET
about 7 Miles
Located in Louth in Lincolnshire this is an ideal attraction when you want to get out in the fresh air and explore. There are many animals to see including ponies and piglets which the little ones love.  There are also some amazing birds from hawks and falcons to owls.  Most aspects of this attraction are included in the admission cost and as well as wandering around you get to hold and feed the animals too.  A real highlight are the micro pigs which are just like real pigs but in miniature.  Fully grown they are around the size of a spaniel!  If you get hungry then you can take your own picnic to the picnic areas or head for the tea room selling delicious food and children's meals too.
Natureland Seal Sanctuary - PE25 1DB
about 13 Miles
Awarded the Lincolnshire Family Attraction of the Year award in recent years this fun day out is recommended. You can see seals and penguins, as well as other animals in the popular pets corner.  Feeding time for the seals and penguins is the real highlight of the day. Entertainment, education and conservation are the main aims of this attraction. Natureland's work with abandoned baby seals has become known worldwide and it's carefully researched rearing and treatment program is now used by many other rescue centres.
Pleasure Island - DN35 0PL
about 17 Miles
Wow this is an amazing family theme park and you will probably need the full day to experience it all.  From thrilling rides to family shows, kids of all ages are catered for.  Some of the most popular rides include the Obliterator and The Pendulus, not forgetting the Hypoblaster.   Family shows are entertaining such as the African Acrobat Show which is back by popular demand.  Entrance tickets are good value and if you book online you will receive a discount. To save even more money if you live locally or are visiting the area for a few weeks you could buy a season ticket for around £50 which will allow you entry for the whole season.
The Jungle Zoo - NR31 9EY
about 18 Miles
Centred around a Tropical House in an amazing jungle like setting this is a really unique attraction that will appeal to families.  In the Cleethorpes area of Lincolnshire it's easy to get to and offers a fun yet educational experience.  Referred to as the number one attraction in the area highlights include capuchin monkeys, meerkats, ring tailed lemur and for the children African pygmy goats.  The tropical house features Red Eared and other Terrapins from North America and goldfish amongst other things.  We think The Jungle Zoo represents excellent value for money too.  We recommend a whole day to explore this attraction and ensure you get to see all of the animals resident there.
The Deep - HU1 4DP
about 36 Miles
Easily accessible from our Yorkshire Dales lodge parks is The Deep! An award-winning 'submarium', attraction, which is home to over 3500 fish from around the globe. Visitors can a stroll through Europe's deepest viewing tunnel and take a thrilling a glass lift ride through the 10m deep tank. The Deep is also home to the world's largest exhibition, featuring weird animals from the depths combined with slime! Educational talks and events take place daily so visitors can learn about the conservation projects which the centre is involved in. There is also a fantastic restaurant over looking some of the displays and a souvenir shop. Family tickets are priced at just £32.00.
