Woad Mill Lakeside Lodges Reviews

"The grounds are really well looked after and the lodge was spotless. The welcome hamper was a lovely surprise and the outdoor space is perfect for unwinding. Well definitely return!"
Sam - Mar 2025
"Really enjoyed the peaceful stay, it was such a nice escape. Fishing was quite good too."
Jamie - Mar 2025
"The lodge was perfectly located, offering peace and quiet for a proper relaxing weekend. We really enjoyed unwinding in such a beautiful spot. Lovely stay!"
James - Feb 2025
"Weve finally found a lovely spot to take the dogs and its become our new favourite lodge. The location is absolutely stunning and the place is kept beautifully. Theyve thought of little touches that really make a difference, which we appreciated. The only tiny downside was no scissors in the cabin, but thats probably just an oversight. Were already planning our next visit - honestly, we didnt want to leave! Cant recommend it enough, its just perfect for us!"
Emma - Jan 2025
"Our Woad Mill Lakeside Lodges review: We loved the cosy lodge right by the lake, perfect for relaxing with the dogs. Quiet, private and the hot tub under the stars was simply amazing! Definitely recommend."
Claire Johnson - Dec 2024
"We really enjoyed our stay here. The lodges are beautifully set around the lake, offering stunning views whether its morning or evening. Inside, theyre comfy and well-equipped, making it a perfect retreat. The black swans made it extra special-theyre quite friendly! Our dog was also welcome, which was a big plus. The little touches like wine, local eggs, cake and biscuits really made us feel appreciated. We definitely plan to return soon!"
Emma Roberts - Dec 2024
"We recently spent a weekend at the Muntjak lodge and overall, it was quite a nice stay. The weather wasnt great, but the lodge itself was cosy and the view over the lake was so calming. The walk from the car wasnt too bad and the trolley was a real help for carrying our stuff, though it did struggle a bit on the gravel paths. The welcome hamper was a lovely surprise, especially the treats for our small dog, who was thoroughly spoiled! We did find the dog-proofing a bit tricky because shes tiny and could slip underneath the lowest wire, so we had to keep her on her lead when on the deckings. Despite that little hiccup, we had a lovely time and are already planning to come back. Its a peaceful spot, perfect for a relaxing weekend away!"
Emma Carter - Oct 2024
"We had a fantastic stay at Woad Mill! The lodge was spotless and well equipped, making us feel right at home. The complimentary box on arrival was a lovely touch. Definitely planning to come back for another relaxing getaway soon!"
Mark - Oct 2024
"We loved it! The place was spot on and wed definitely book again. Cant recommend it enough!"
Emma - Sep 2024
"We stayed at this place and really loved how spotless everything was - it was nearly perfect! The only real issue was the dog proofing on the terrace. Weve got a Chihuahua and a French Bulldog and while the proofing was okay for the Frenchie, it didnt quite cut it for the Chihuahua. Luckily, we caught him quickly, but it did make us realise that many small dogs might actually escape. So, to let him out, we had to leash him up, which wasnt ideal. Also, the lodge shaded over quicker than others, so sunbathing time was limited. Despite these little hiccups, wed still recommend it. Just something to keep in mind if youve got energetic little pups like ours!"
Charlotte - Sep 2024
"Great lodges, really well equipped and in a lovely spot! Definitely recommend."
Alex - Sep 2024
"Honestly, this place really does outshine all the other lodges we've stayed in. The setting is stunning, with swans gliding by and a lovely field perfect for dog walks. Theyve cleverly designed paths lined with trees that make it feel more like a park than just a field. The lodge itself is gorgeous-stylish but super cosy, with comfy furniture that we felt right at home in. The kitchen was surprisingly well-equipped, from a ninja air fryer to a nutribullet, which was handy. Everything was spotless too and we saw the hot tub cleaner hoovering it out when we left, which was reassuring. The decking was a real highlight-we spent loads of time relaxing out there. The welcome packs for us and the dog were a nice touch and getting food delivered was a breeze. Plus, the staff are absolutely lovely; they went above and beyond when we had a family emergency. Were already planning to come back next year!"
Ellie - Aug 2024
"Had a lovely stay, though wish it was a bit longer! The lodge was gorgeous and the lake was absolutely stunning. Plenty of carp and tench around, really enjoyed the fishing. Definitely planning to come back soon!"
James - Aug 2024
"We stayed here recently and honestly, its such a lovely place. Everything you could possibly need is provided and its spotless! The welcome hamper was a sweet touch that made us feel really welcomed. The only thing is, the lodges opposite mean youre kinda looking straight into each other and the hot tub isnt very private. But if everyone keeps their distance, its all good. Perfect for a little escape from the hustle. Would definitely recommend!"
Emma - Aug 2024
"Really enjoyed our time here, definitely recommend."
James Turner - Jul 2024
"We loved Water Lily Lodges peaceful spot and privacy. Watching the birds on the lake from the sun deck was surprisingly entertaining! Great stay."
Martin - Apr 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay, the lodge had all we needed for a proper chill-out. The free baskets for us and the pup were a nice touch!"
Emma - Apr 2024
"We had a lovely stay! The inside of the place was really lovely and every window offered breathtaking views. It felt just like a cosy home away from home and we loved that it was dog friendly - our pup had a great time. It was the perfect spot to unwind and explore, especially with a day trip to Lincoln. Definitely will return!"
Emily - Mar 2024
"We had such a lovely time! The place really does feel like a peaceful retreat, perfect to escape everyday stresses. The lodges are super modern and spotless and the grounds are simply stunning. Our dog had a blast too. Were already planning our next visit, cant wait!"
James - Feb 2024
"We had a really lovely stay here. The place is super modern and well-equipped, perfect for relaxing. The spacious layout and stylish furniture made it feel really homely. The bed was so comfy and the bathroom looked amazing. The decking area is just fantastic!"
Emily Carter - Feb 2024
"We had such a lovely stay at this gorgeous lodge! The welcome hamper was a sweet surprise and the scenery along with the hot tub was just perfect for relaxing. The only tiny issue was the lack of a BBQ or washer/dryer, which was advertised but not available. Still, it didnt ruin our trip. The black swans were a real highlight though! Wed definitely come back."
Emma - Feb 2024
"Great spot to unwind after work"
Jamie - Feb 2024
"The site is stunning and well-kept, with gorgeous lake views. Hosts are super friendly and helpful. Truly peaceful!"
Emma Carter - Jan 2024
"We had a fantastic time at the honey bee lodge! Its super comfy and feels quite luxurious. The location is great too, with shops just a short drive away if we needed anything. Would definitely come back again!"
James - Jan 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay, the lodge was perfect for relaxing."
Emma Carter - Jan 2024
"We loved our four-day stay at the lodge. Stunning views, a cosy hot tub and nice facilities. Definitely planning to come back soon!"
Sam - Jan 2024
"Really enjoyed my stay here, its perfect for relaxing and escaping the hustle. Honestly, I didnt want to leave! Cant wait to return."
Jamie - Dec 2023
"Beautiful lodge, really modern and stylish, set in such a lovely spot!"
Emma - Dec 2023
"We stayed at the lodge recently and had mixed feelings. Its definitely high spec, which we appreciated, but some things felt a bit pointless for us. The washing machine, dishwasher and wine cooler seemed unnecessary since we only stayed Monday to Friday or vice versa and theres just a small fridge with a cool box freezer. We prefer hand washing dishes anyway. The finish on the stairs wasnt great - cracks and uneven bits everywhere. The bathroom was lovely, but the shower sprayed water everywhere, making the floor super slippery. Outside, the hot tub steps kept slipping on the decking, so youve got to be careful when getting in and out. Still, its a nice place overall!"
Alex - Nov 2023
"Really enjoyed our stay here, the lodge was lovely and everything was well-maintained. Definitely coming back!"
Emma - Nov 2023

Attractions Near Woad Mill Lakeside Lodges

Here are some of the activities and experiences you can enjoy on your visit to Woad Mill Lakeside Lodges. If you discover a worthy inclusion to this list on your hot tub break, please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too.
Natureland Seal Sanctuary - PE25 1DB
about 20 Miles
Awarded the Lincolnshire Family Attraction of the Year award in recent years this fun day out is recommended. You can see seals and penguins, as well as other animals in the popular pets corner.  Feeding time for the seals and penguins is the real highlight of the day. Entertainment, education and conservation are the main aims of this attraction. Natureland's work with abandoned baby seals has become known worldwide and it's carefully researched rearing and treatment program is now used by many other rescue centres.
Rushmoor Country Park - GU10 1ET
about 30 Miles
Located in Louth in Lincolnshire this is an ideal attraction when you want to get out in the fresh air and explore. There are many animals to see including ponies and piglets which the little ones love.  There are also some amazing birds from hawks and falcons to owls.  Most aspects of this attraction are included in the admission cost and as well as wandering around you get to hold and feed the animals too.  A real highlight are the micro pigs which are just like real pigs but in miniature.  Fully grown they are around the size of a spaniel!  If you get hungry then you can take your own picnic to the picnic areas or head for the tea room selling delicious food and children's meals too.
Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens - NR21 0LN
about 38 Miles
if you and your family are interested in nature and wildlife then Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens is the perfect place for a day out. This beautiful area of national parkland is home to a huge range of common and rare birds from sparrows to Red Crowned Cranes and also has a red squirrel enclosure - part of a conservation programme and now home to a family of adorable squirrels. Other activities to enjoy at Pensthorpe include pond dipping and Landrover discovery tours. Pensthorpe also played host to BBC'S Springwatch in 2010.
